I highly recommend Empryre Barbers! This was our second time going there. We previously went to the Tigard location first and Blanco did a fabulous cut there. When I went to book him again, I accidently booked the wrong Friday so Blanco wasn't in and Matt (the owner) happened to be there and said he'd get me in if I was willing to drive to his Aloha store! We hopped in the car and this store was even bigger and better! These barbers are so happy to see you, kind and friendly when you walk in, and you get a clean ambience while listening to hip hop (my fave)! The cut was so perfect! It may have been the lollipop promised at the end but my five year old got out that chair beaming with pride as he looked at his new fresh look! For the rest of the day, he told everyone all about his new haircut! I will not be using any other barber in the area because these guys (and gals) are the BEST! I just want to express my gratitude to Garrett their newest barber I believe. I recently within the last month had my son get a cut from Garrett and his customer service skills were exceptional. My son had a great time and he received a great cut from Garrett. I was supposed to comment right after I left the barbershop and now it has been several weeks but I've not forgotten about my review and would like to recommend anyone who is new in the Portland metro area or Washington county to go to Garrett. I've been getting my haircut by the owner Matthew for nearly 20 years. Him and his team have offered nothing but the best service and best cuts. The atmosphere is inviting, team is extremely friendly and very accommodating, and the prices are great for the quality of service you are receiving. If you are local or visiting from out of town, don't waste your time with other barber shops or chain shops. Both of their locations are great and very easy to schedule an online appointment. I have been searching for a barber and a shop that I like for about a year and a half. I've gone to almost every place you could think of in the Portland area. But, thanks to Empyre my search has finally come to an end. The shop itself gives off a great vibe and everyone in it has always been super welcoming and friendly. My second time at this location, unfortunately there was a schedule mix up on MY End. After talking to the gal who was extremely nice, they were able to fit me in that day. So I had to come back a couple of hours later, not a big deal. I got a business card with the barbers phone number. I was running late on my way back, called and it was not an issue. I can't say enough great things about Matthew at Empyre! He cuts my husbands hair along with our two boys ages 7 & 2. He makes us feel like family when we come in Our oldest has been seeing him since he was 4 years old and to this day he looks forward to going in to see Matthew and blending right in with the rest of the guys there. Ive been here a couple times and they've always done well but today my barber was Garrett and he completely set the standard for a top notch haircut. super friendly dude who gave me one of the cleanest haricuts that i've personally seen. i'm not one who typically leaves reviews but Garrett gave such a great overall experience that it would be a shame to not let others know about it. i hope garrett sees this because i will definitely be coming back for another cut soon! read more
