We decided to go on an adventure and take a painting class together. He, an engineer, didn't think himself a painter or an artist at all. I consider myself more of the artsy-fartsy type and was completely ecstatic about going to this class! I walked into this little hole-in-the-wall in Renton and was greeted very kindly by the owner, Bev, and a guest artist. Some booze and snacks were had and then we entered the art room. Not officially called "the art room," but I thought it was a clever description. The painting process was explained and easy to understand. Every painting seemed very unique and easy enough to learn. Even though my bf wasn't an artist, his painting turned out wonderful! We had a great time. I recommend going after work with the girls or for a birthday party. I brought home a complete work of art and it was a really good time. Some suggestions: eat dinner ahead of time, come early to find parking, and you might not want to be a perfectionist because the two hours we had went by really quick. I'd like to go to a longer session. All the paintings look so RAD!

Where have you been all my life?!!! We found out they've…read moreonly been around for a couple of years. Family owned business, dad helps out, so does their son, mom teaches pottery classes. So we celebrated 5 birthdays, 12 of us came to paint ceramics, we brought snacks, and drinks. If you didn't have any snacks, this place has snacks and candy you can purchase. Since we were a large group we took the upstairs level. Not easy for people with knee problems, but we managed. So we set up our snacks, Italian sodas, and birthday cake, then we went downstairs to choose what we wanted to paint. Items range anywhere from 20.00 and up. One of the birthday girls had to bring her granddaughter and she had a blast. Another young gal took her newborn and carried him in a pouch while she painted. Staff was very helpful. We had a color chart to choose our colors, we told them what we wanted and they brought to us and replenished paint when needed. Each station had water, sponges, brushes, lazy Susan, and a tray for your paint. We held the space for two hours. Perfect timing because they closed at 5pm on Sunday. They will glaze our projects, and next week one of us will pick it up and bring to everyone. Now we want to go back and take a pottery class. Everything is so affordable including the classes. So glad this one exists, because the one we used to go to in Auburn to pain canvas closed down permanently. I posted a photo of the wall of ceramics to choose from. I had high hopes, truly, but maybe it was just the instructor that did it for me. the instructor would dipout and multitask elsewhere away from the class-goers who had to standby for a bit so that they can get her help on instruction clarification. Ended up needing to help our peers out because our instructor lacked the initiative to check in on all the guests. Nonetheless, very pretty and happily bright shop. Makes you want to-do a studio tour to truly appreciate the beauty of the art that covers the walls.

The instructor actually told us she had never painted that before, and she completely botched it. Not to mention, had her friend in the class as well (which is normally not an issue) but was totally distracted which in turn was messing everyone else up. A few people around us expressed their frustrations as well, to which she laughed off or would continually repeat "I hear everything in this room". Keeping in mind that this is a black light painting, we almost didnt even get to see what it looked like under the blacklight until my mother asked the instructor if we could a short while after the sessions was over and almost half the class had already left. Would not come back here even if I was paid to, teach your instructors to do their job better. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I believe our instructor's name was Hannah. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and encouraging. She brought great energy to the class and got everyone laughing and excited to paint! I love to paint and draw, I just don't have any real creative talent :) It was fun and easy to follow along and even find ways to make the painting your own. The studio itself had great vibes overall. I feel like the staff does a really good job of making the environment really fun and upbeat. There was fun music playing the whole time, which was really nice for painting and socializing. They had a decent selection of beverages, including wine, beer, cider, soda, and water. My boyfriend and I each got a glass of wine (I think they were $9 each), and then we ended up splitting a ginger ale later in the evening. We definitely got our money's worth with the wine, and it was really fun to be able to have a drink in hand while being an ~artist~. Overall, I had a really fun time during the class. I would recommend it to anyone and definitely want to return in the future.

Our instructor was fantastic--knowledgeable, engaging, and detailed in her explanations. She made sure everyone felt comfortable, regardless of skill level, and provided helpful tips throughout the session. The combination of sipping on mimosas while channeling our creativity made for a perfect evening. The step-by-step guidance allowed us to really connect with the process of painting, and I was thrilled with the piece I created. It felt great to express myself in such a fun environment. Overall, I left feeling inspired and relaxed. I highly recommend this event to anyone looking for a unique day or night out--whether you're a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, you'll have a fantastic time!
