Such a welcoming environment. Everyone was helpful and friendly. There's a bar with some snacks and your name on your plate of paints. A cubby for you to place your coat and bag. They make it as easy as possible for you to paint your painting. They model the steps with verbal directions and are more than willing to give you personal tips. The only downside, that I've encountered, is that they go over the time. It's not a big deal unless you have other plans after. read more

My first experience at a Pinot's Palette was for girls night celebrating my friend's birthday at the Mochaccino Night event. We had a great time painting together and the image selected to paint was beautiful. We really looked forward to getting together for this paint night! I encourage others to arrive like 10 minutes early, I got there at the time of the event and felt hurried to settle in. I may have missed the first timers instructions during the intro, but that was the only thing I would have found helpful. The pace is pretty steady and quick, but now that I know what to expect it will make my next experiences more enjoyable. My friends and I don't drink, and they have great non-alcoholic drink options, but also unique sounding alcoholic beverages if you're interested. Awful. I purchased a paint at home kit online and was told online to pick it up. Their website and Google shows the location is open. However 2 months ago apparently they had a fire and is closed. It appears I am out the money spent and their messenger doesnt work, nor their voicemail because apparently it is full. I've been here twice before, and always had a wonderful, wonderful time. The staff and the instructors are excellent, they always manage to tease out whatever little artistic value I had and put it on a canvas where I was really, really proud of it. But this had to have been the worst visit ever. It was the patrons, not the staff, who ruined it. The class started at seven and people were still showing up at 7:30. People showed up already intoxicated, there was a bachelorette party there who all thought that they were karaoke, singers, it was very, very disruptive atmosphere and hindered the staffs ability to teach the painting. The classes seem to have grown, I don't remember as many people last time but this was a very full class and it was very tight quarters. Again, not a knock on the staff, our instructor was getting very frustrated, she had the patience of a saint and did her best trying to control the party atmosphere into a painting one. Kudos to them for keeping their patience, but shame on Pinos for allowing this many drunk people in such a small place at one time and continued to serve them alcohol. This was one of my favorite activities but I don't know if I'll return again if the experience is similar. I have an upcoming visit, but I might cancel. Not interested in trying to paint at a rowdy bachelorette's party, or where drunk idiots are singing along to songs like it dollar beer night at a local pub. The loud drunken behavior was disgusting. Shame on the patrons for that, and there should be some way of exiting intoxicated individuals without putting your artists in danger. read more

She was motivational and kept the steps fun and easy to understand. We were allowed to have our own creative mind and make changes to the style/colors etc. I even got to add glitter! I don't know what took me so long to write this review. I have gone here a few times a year for (I am guessing) 5 years. I guarantee that you will have an amazing time. I have painted with my step-daughter, friends, husband, and coworkers. Every time is a blast. I even made a blanket with my step-daughter. We have even bought a paint at home kit. You can cast the video to your TV and paint at your own pace. I can't say enough good things. The instructors are great. The music is great. The dranks are great. If you are ever looking for a girls night, date night, team building, creative outlet, solo event... You can't go wrong with Pinot's Palette. As a bonus, I get some great art to add to my walls. This place is so much fun to come to for a paint and drink date with your friends or significant other. I enjoy this place more than others because it's clean, organized, and the people working it are always friendly with a smile. They have a bar in the back where you can purchase beer, cider, or mimosa's. They have previous artwork decorating the entire place. They have happy hours on Fridays where you can paint a smaller canvas for $12, pick an artwork you'd like to do, and hang out for as long as you'd like (although I've never done this happy hour, it sounds pretty awesome and plan on doing it in the future). depending on the paint event your doing, you may get a different instructor each time. My first time going I had so much fun. The second time round, I felt a bit rushed and didn't get to enjoy it as much. Not sure if that's due to instructor or difficulty of the artwork. read more

My friend and I love doing these paint experiences but this was by far the worst experience we've had. I will be the first to admit I am not a good painter but my paintings usually turn out pretty well. We did a snowman painting and it started out great. The orange paint for nose, even after 3 coats I could still see through it. She told us to use the wrong color when doing the star, so it looked jacked because I couldn't cover over it and she didn't give any instructions as how to fix it. It was just extremely frustrating overall! The teacher wasn't very helpful either. We won't be back here. We will stick to the other place we go to in Tacoma. read more

We came with a group of 7, and were able to paint seated altogether! Megan was an amazing teacher. This was my first time painting and it was very beginner friendly. When you get there, they have everything set up for you so you just follow directions, and your painting will be done in around 2-3 hours. I don't recall the bartender's name but she was awesome too! My partner and I have now been to this location twice and we absolutely love it! The instructors are wonderful, the owners are nicer than can be, and the drinks keep flowing! The first canvas we did was a couples canvas:the joint pond. It was really neat to make something we could put together on the wall. The instruction was easy to follow and was easy and light. Our second time we painted a moon with branches. We are both so happy with our paintings. If you want a fun night out with friends, a date or with family I would recommend this paint studio.
