I first texted the practice after seeing this practice pop up on a mom's group page many times and received immediate response for a phone call for more information as it was my first chiropractor visit ever. The phone call was very informative and I then scheduled an appt. EASY! The practice is in a cute little looking house at a corner and they have their own room/studio that is clean and welcoming. I met with Dr. Russ last week for what I thought was sciatic pain for some time. Im 35 weeks pregnant. My first visit was 1 hour long and it included consultation and all the works. I didn't know what to expect for a prenatal chiropractor visit as mentioned before, it's my first chiropractor visit ever! Dr. Russ is very knowledgeable and gave me such an informative and comprehensive consultation that I felt like I was in class (in a good way!) I felt comfortable all throughout the appt and walked away feeling great. The next morning, I was a bit sore which was to be expected but I felt great nonetheless. I scheduled another appt for next week, which will be for 30 min (standard appt) rather than a full hour. I'm looking forward to the next visit! They also take care of you postpartum so looking forward to reaching back out once I feel things have settled postpartum. read more

I've been a loyal patient at this chiropractic office for years and had a great experience during my last pregnancy, which is why I trusted them again this time. Unfortunately, my experience during this pregnancy has been incredibly disappointing. I paid over $2,000 upfront for a package meant to cover care through my entire pregnancy. We had multiple conversations for my plan of care being to make it through October to my due date 10/31. Now that I'm in my final trimester and finally on maternity leave -- the time when I can actually come in more consistently and need the care most -- the office has announced they'll be closed for "fall break", which happens to be the month I'm due October. I was never notified they would be closed, only notifying me of this closure days before on September 27th via text. I've asked for a refund for the six remaining sessions I already paid for, and they've refused. I understand businesses have schedules and limitations, but this feels incredibly unfair and unprofessional -- especially considering how much I've invested here, both financially and personally. The owner Dr. Kseniya was extremely rude and condescending sending me voice text messages. She basically blamed me stating I should be more understanding that she is a mother and works long hours and needs this time off. The whole conversation was unprofessional and very poor customer service. I've referred multiple coworkers to this practice over the years because I truly believed in their care, but this experience has left me feeling taken advantage of, scammed, and deeply disappointed. I can no longer recommend this practice to others. read more

Highly recommend Dr. K! She's been working with me for three months. Pregnancy and postpartum brought on daily headaches. She asked a million questions to get to the root cause. She listens to me needs and actually makes a difference. I no longer have daily headaches. We did an elimination diet and I've also lost 15 pounds so I'm back to the weight I was when I got pregnant. I know I'm in the best hands. She also teaches an amazing birth and massage class for expecting parents. She's amazing! read more

Dr. Russ and the Empowered Mama team were recommended to me by my OB when I was having intense rib pain during my pregnancy. They helped ease my pain and set me up for a successful birth! Now they are supporting me through my post partum journey by easing back pain caused by breast feeding. The team accommodates my busy schedule and always gets me in when I need support. I highly recommended Empowered Mama Chiropractic!! read more

My sciatica was so bad during this pregnancy that I was using a cane to get around and needed assistance to stand and walk at times. My OB referred me to Empowered Mama and their scraping (Graston) treatment and adjustments saved me. My first appointment I went in heavily limping and I left walking regularity with little discomfort left. I was shocked and so grateful to feel in control of my body again. I wish I would have come in when the pain first started. Regular visits after that kept me comfortable in an otherwise all around uncomfortable pregnancy. I bought the package that included a newborn adjustment and will be taking my breeched babe there soon, something I didn't ever think I would feel comfortable with for a baby. I also look forward to going back for treatment as the inevitable aches and pains come from breastfeeding post partum. Pricing is steep, but treatment is very effective. I had sciatica in my first pregnancy as well and used a different chiropractor, acupuncture, and massage and it wasn't as effective as this. So adding all the costs together, it doesn't make this price seem so bad. Also recommend getting on the books early as it is a smaller team so the schedule fills up quick. They did work very late hours to accommodate me when I had flare ups and was desperate to get in which I greatly appreciated. read more

I can't say that I'm the type of person who goes to a chiropractor on a regular basis. But I'm gone to see Ruslan a few times over the past year or so after suffering an injury. I recently had a fall playing football and really hurt my shoulder. For weeks I couldn't sleep and didn't want to go to a doctor, get x-rays and the works. After being fed up with the pain, I contacted Ruslan just to see if he can help. A few days later I was in his office and was taking care of my shoulder. After maybe 5-6 appointments my shoulder started feeling better and then a week or later it was back to 100%. And then even more recently I threw my back out and immediately went to Ruslan. After 2 appointments and a few adjustment, the pain went away. Needless to say I highly recommend this office and I'm grateful for them for fixing me up. read more

Dr. Kseniya and Dr. Russ are the best! My OBGYN recommended their practice for my low back pain after giving birth to my son. They do adjustments, cupping, and deep tissue massages. I've also learned some great stretching exercises from them to do on my own. They've done wonders with my back and I've continued to see them for shoulder/neck pain. read more

Dr. K is AMAZING! My son was 4 weeks old colic, and cried for hours throughout the day and night. He had so much gas, he was extremely uncomfortable and fussy. I was running on 2 to 3 hours of sleep a day and going insane. Someone recommended that I look into chiropractic treatment for him. I found Dr. K on Yelp and was skeptical about scheduling. I waited a couple of weeks and decided to bite the bullet and schedule as I was becoming desperate. First session, I noticed once I handed my son to Dr. K and she started working on his little body, he was so calm, starring into her eyes, smiling... I looked over at my husband and he looked at me... this was the first time we seen him calm and smiling. I decided to purchase 10 additional sessions. Went home that day and notice my son was less fussy. We are now, I believe 6 sessions in and he is sleeping 4-5 hours straight at night, no more crying for hours, and no longer gassy. Each time we come home from his Chiro session, he has 3-4 huge bowel movement . My son is a whole different baby, happy! You would have never guessed he was a fussy, colicky baby. I'm so glad I found Dr. K! If you're thinking twice about chiropractic treatment for your baby/children, think no more! Wished I found her sooner! read more

I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Kseniya! I had terrible hip pain this pregnancy, and I had never tried a chiropractor, but my OBGYN recommended contacting her. The first body work + adjustment session I had, the moment after I got off the table and stood up, I seriously felt like I had totally new hips! Dr. Kseniya taught me stretches and exercises to do at home, and that in combination of coming in for body work and adjustments has made my pregnancy experience so much better. She also teaches a bunch of other ways to be prepared for childbirth and postpartum, mentally and physically, in her Sacred Pregnancy program. I've loved being a part of this program, and I've felt truly cared for by Dr. Kseniya. I feel much more prepared for how to make this pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey more enjoyable! read more

Dr Kseniya and her husband are great. Very nice and attentive. I had postpartum back and neck pain. He used guasha techniques that really helped loosen me up. She did full body work including deep tissue and adjustment. I also took my son there for his torticolis when he was around 8 months old. She helped with his tightness and imbalance. I would definitely recommend their practice. read more

Dr. Kseniya has literally saved me. I had the worst SPD that started at 14 weeks of pregnancy. I was losing all value of life and in tears daily because the pain was so unbearable- I could barely walk let alone doing normal daily activities. I was hesitant on going to a chiropractor but so happy I made the choice to! Within a month to a month and a half my pain went from a 9 down to a 3. I'm now 23 weeks and still doing so much better. I'll continue seeing Dr. Kseniya throughout my pregnancy as needed. She had turned my pregnancy experience around and I'm so grateful read more

When I found out I was pregnant, I really wanted to find a chiropractor who specializes in pre and post natal care. I'm so glad I found Dr. Kseniya! I started seeing her at 20 weeks when I noticed some pain developing in my hip area. I appreciate that Dr. Kseniya takes the time to educate you on all the things happening in your changing body, and she has different techniques and tools available for use to help remedy the pain. I am now 28 weeks pregnant and I always walk out of each appointment feeling much better. Looking forward to continuing my care with her throughout my entire pregnancy to keep my body in the best form possible for childbirth. read more

After 10 sessions it pains me to write a negative review but I guess there's a first time for everything. Everything was going well and I was seeing relief in my back pain; however, towards the end of my 10 pack, I felt like every appointment was an opportunity to sell me on more "resources". Unfortunately there was an insane amount of pressure put on me to purchase additional items at every visit even after I politely declined multiple times on multiple occasions. Advice to the practice: learn to read the emotional cues and signals of your patients. Saying "no" doesn't come easy to all of us, especially those that are pregnant, vulnerable and want to empower other women entrepreneurs. While I'm sure you feel strongly that the additional services offer support for your patients, they are extremely expensive and you should have more empathy for the patients that can't afford them. Advice to new patients: find a doctor in network and let your insurance pay for services like this. In my opinion, it's not worth it to pay out of pocket. read more

After buying an expensive 10 session package to help treat postpartum lower back pain, I can say I probably left the office in worse shape than I started with. I yielded much better results going to a physical therapist within my network. I'm sure her treatments work for some and she does appear to genuinely care; however, for the extraordinary cost, I felt swindled. She appeared quite confident that she could provide me with results during her sales pitch. A more transparent approach to chiropractic care and the range of effectiveness would have been more appreciated. I spent a lot of money and time on a treatment that overall failed to improve my pain and quality of life. read more

I am so happy that my family has found Empowered Mama! Rus and Kseniya take such good care of us all. My husband, myself, and our two kids are all treated here. Dr. Kseniya is a LIFESAVER for pregnant mommas! I'm on my 4th pregnancy, and have the worst sciatica, hip and leg muscle pain. Her work eases so much of my pain. I walk in to Dr. Kseniya's office with a full waddle and limp, and leave walking normal! It feels like a miracle! She shows me helpful stretches to do at home too. I've started seeing her weekly starting at 30 weeks pregnant. I've been to 4 sessions, and plan on seeing her until the end, and then after birth as I'm recovering from labor. I do 1 hour sessions that includes a massage (heaven!) AND an adjustment. It feels like a mommy vacation. I'm so grateful for her care, because it lets me be a great mom to my other kids during the pregnancy with much less pain! She's also so sweet and has a great energy to be around. She's very encouraging, positive and uplifting. Highly recommend! read more

I started to receive treatment care from Dr. Kseniya in my 2nd trimester up until a few days before my delivery. I started to see her when my OBGYN and midwife recommended I go after being told I had pubis symphysis dysfunction. I was in pain everyday from doing normal activities (walking, chasing my toddler) at work and at home. I was also pregnant w/my second child who was measured to be bigger and heavier. I'm so so grateful that I went and saw her. She is amazing and compassionate. She explained things in full detail and answered any questions I had to full extent. I do believe the treatment plan I had with her helped prepare my body for my 2nd delivery, mentally and physically. Thank you Dr. Kseniya for all your hard work and dedication you put into your patients. read more

Dr. Kseniya goes above and beyond for her patients. Not only does she have a wealth of knowledge in this specialty, she actually listens to her patients and enjoys educating us while we are in her care. I cannot thank you enough for easing me through this whole process. I always walk out of her office feeling 100%. I even remember being a bit skeptical at the beginning, and I'm so glad I was wrong. While in labor, it takes a village, ESPECIALLY if you're trying to go natural. I truly believe that the only reason I was able to get as far as I did was because of her help. She helped my mind and body prepare of the stress of labor. And she helped my husband become the support person that I needed. I definitely recommend giving it a try! read more

Dr. Kseniya is truly wonderful. She helped alleviate my physical pain during pregnancy, which my regular providers said could only be solved by giving birth. What I didn't expect was how beautifully Dr. Kseniya helped me mentally prepare for labor and the postpartum period. Her approach is wholistic and takes body and mind into account. Her passion for this work is clear. She truly cares about her patients, listens and will make you feel heard. Highly recommend any of her services! read more

Through my shared friends, I found out about Kseniya. The first session of my pregnancy officially began when I was 38 weeks along. For a second appointment, I went at 39 weeks along. I wish I had begun sooner! Kseniya has extensive postpartum and maternity training. She is an expert in that area. Since I've been experiencing uncomfort lower back pain, I've tried a variety of things--including physical therapy--without success. In our initial meeting, Kseniya made me feel completely at ease. She's so smart, so upbeat, and she helped me feel comfortable. Throughout my entire nine-month pregnancy, I felt so much tense and stiffness. The treatment from my chiropractor provided to ease the pain and suffering in my neck and lower back. Additionally, when I began therapy, the front desk staff--who had originally scheduled my appointment over the phone--was incredibly courteous, considerate, and attentive. I highly recommend this place, and I will continue to attend. read more

Dr. K is wonderful! She is truly an artist at what she does. She thoroughly addressed all of my needs in a holistic manner and also gave me the constant encouragement I needed to remain positive. I purchased the vbac package and it was worth it. I had tons of bodywork, adjustments and labor prep with my husband. We felt as prepared as possible for birth. I truly believe that she helped prepare my body to have an unmedicated vbac which was my goal! Thank you so much Dr. K : ) read more

I started seeing Dr. Kseniya about halfway through my pregnancy to support a head-down baby and help make space for an ideal presentation. I'm now close to having my baby and can confidently say that it's thanks to her caring hands and breadth of knowledge that I can still comfortably work in the garden and chase my toddler (and, I have a head down baby after a history of breech). I'm glad I started Webster chiropractic before any real major issues occurred because I think it has prevented them altogether. She's also made a headache disappear after a simple adjustment :) I've seen many chiropractors and want to make it clear that Dr. Kseniya does not just throw you on a table and quickly "crack you." She takes her time and is very gentle, and can even use an activator on your neck if you prefer. The bodywork for pregnant people that goes alongside the adjustments if you choose is NEXT LEVEL. Like so so good. Dr. Kseniya is also extremely knowledge about supplements and herbs during the trimesters and genuinely cares about you as a person. She has done an excellent job building a practice that really stands out in not just the chiropractic world, but in the medical/maternity world altogether. The practice also sees dads for regular chiropractic and bodywork, and my husband is now also obsessed with the comprehensive and personalized care. We are even taking my toddler in soon and I'm excited to see how he responds! read more

Empowered Mama was one of the best things to happen to me during my pregnancy. Dr. Kseniya is an absolute gem and is so knowledgeable about a pregnant women's body. Working with her brought me so much relief and freedom from so much of the pain I experienced. Dr.Kseniya is amazing with my baby! I was referred to this practice when my baby was 8 weeks old and diagnosed with a tongue tie. They got me in super fast to see him and was very thorough and answered all my questions and we came up with a treatment plan. A month later and my son has full range of his neck before he could only turn it one direction. Whenever we go into the office for an adjustment my son takes the best nap after so it's true it's working! Oh, we've also cut back a few minutes on breastfeeding which is a win for both of us! Empowered Mama Chiropractic - Me pregnant, healthy and happy after I called Ksenia. - Chiropractors Near Me - Lafayette, California

Selected Dr. Ksenyia for chiropractic work specific to helping a breech baby turn. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciated her explanations of what she was doing, why, and exercises I could do at home. I'm sure the chiropractic work helped create a successful context for a Version and baby is now head-down! I'm looking forward to continuing postnatal visits, to avoid the hip pain that I had after previous births. read more

I have no idea how I would be surviving without Dr. Kseniya. Walking could be excruciating and I was in near constant pain in my hip and back (after severe sciatica and misalignment in pregnancy) until I started seeing Dr. Kseniya. Her work and stretches have delivered much needed relief of symptoms and improvement. More importantly, Dr. Kseniya's genuine care for every aspect of my health and well-being has helped my mental and emotional health more than anything this 4th trimester. When I have to bring my son she does not miss a beat and even has rocked him for me so I can get the most out of my time there. With two under two, a move, a global pandemic, and more this understanding of and empathy for what it's like to try to care for yourself as a new mom means more than anything. She has great advice and solutions for so many things - you can ask her anything and she has probably helped a mom through it before. I highly recommend her to any expecting or new mom! I only wish I'd started seeing her sooner! read more

I read some of these bas reviews and am amazed to see how well people lie!! If you are all soooo pregnant and sooo miserable in your pain how do you have the will power/ energy/ time to write such long reviews?? I have been a patient of Dr. K for years! She has treated my kids and husband- we are all athletes, and we LOVED every treatment, massage, and laser we had. We will continue coming and recommending her to everyone. Good doctors are hard to find! And Dr. K is SUPER FLEXIBLE, KIND, always ON TIME, and has a wonderful creative personal approach to each patient, adapting to all ages quickly and easily. The prices are very reasonable, the healthcare is outstanding! Highly advise all to go! read more

First of all, I have to apologize for how long it's taken me to post this. I've been talking about writing this since I was still pregnant (my youngest is now 7 months ) Dr. K was vital in getting me through my third pregnancy. I started seeing her during my second trimester when my back pain began making me nervous. Her chiropractic care was amazing - the adjusts & massages made the physical strain of running around with two kiddos & trying to stay in shape bearable (and I even have some pre-existing spine issues). The massage was better than any spa treatment I've ever gotten because I could feel the benefits days after. But what really made EMC stand out was the overall holistic care. Dr. K gave me advice on all things related to my pregnancy from nutrition to dealing with colds or just listening to me vent . I often joked that my OB-GYN should be splitting her paycheck with her because let's be real, Kaiser doctors ain't got time for any of that. Dr. K is an excellent resource for all things pregnancy & parenting related. I really can't recommend her services enough. read more

Dr Gershberg has been excellent in guiding my journey in chiropractic care. The improvements in my poor posture have improved and I feel aligned and balanced She implemented nutrition into my care as well, and that piece has brought my over health to a new level. I started with the 28 day detox which reset my body to accept food as a healing to my physical and mental wellness. Dr. Kseniya also has an expertise in functional medicine and tested my body for what it was lacking. My mental fog, menopausal sweats, sugar cravings disappeared and my energy increased immensely! I can be skeptical about programs and plans that heal, but Dr. Gershberg is the real deal! Wanema read more

I started seeing Dr. Kseniya when I was 35 weeks pregnant due to sudden nerve and hip pain. I had been very active in my pregnancy up to this point (walking at least an hour a day) and was pretty discouraged when this had to come to a halt in the final stretch. Dr. K was recommended by several people--including my OB's office--so I decided to reach out. With how busy her practice is, I was shocked that she was able to get me in within a matter of days, and she consistently ensured that I was able to visit at least weekly thereafter for treatment. I'm generally wary of chiropractors, but Dr. K and her team know what they're doing, and have gentle methods of adjustment combined with necessary body work to loosen up tight muscles and joints. The pain started feeling so much better over the course of the following weeks! I went from needing to walk up the stairs on all fours, to going on my first mile+ walk at 40 weeks pregnant without pain! I honestly had given up hope that I'd be walking without a limp before the end of pregnancy, more or less any reasonable distance for exercise. Now that I'm 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant, if only she can work her same magic to get. this. baby. out! Oh but wait! She does have a wonderful acupressure massage offering, and was able to get me in again last minute today to hopefully move things along. Fingers crossed it works as well as the other treatment! I highly recommend Dr. K and her practice to anyone who is pregnant, and I look forward to continuing to see her for care postpartum. read more

I started seeing Dr Kseniya about halfway through my pregnancy when my tailbone / hip pain was becoming unbearable. I had seen other chiropractors but it wasn't having the needed impact. I'm nearing the end of my pregnancy and I am so happy that she has me walking / moving / out of pain and gearing up for labor & delivery. read more

I am a very active athlete, full time father, and a full time employee. Needless to say, I'm usually battling some sort of aches and pains, and need a regular adjustment for maintenance purposes. Dr. Russ listened attentively to my routine and the most recent injury that I sustained in my neck and trapezius area. He then proceeded to give me an adjustment that alleviated the pain and discomfort I've been feeling for months! Going to keep going to Dr. Russ whenever I'm in the area for regular visits in order to maintain a healthy, mobile body, and this should become a routine of all athletes. Highly recommend this practice for everyone! It's owned by an amazing family who understand the needs of their patients and the stresses put on the body by our modern routines. read more

I called to make an appointment for my toddler and I'm shocked at her prices. I was told $105 for a 5-10 minute appointment....there's a previous post here about how she's "money hungry" and I'm not sure I disagree. How can you ethically charge $105 for 5-10 minutes?! That's insane. Are you in the business of greediness or wellness? Disappointing. read more

Dr K has helped me tremendously the last 3 years. I first came to her while pregnant and I felt like an entirely new person after my visit. I felt like I could barely move due to sciatica pain and left able to walk like normal. It was such a relief. I was approximately 36-37 weeks along. Fast forward to the end of 2020, I returned to get help with clenching at night and to help with my energy levels. I was 1000% depleted and stressed. I now don't have to return constantly to help with clenching and she found food sensitivities I knew were a problem but Kaiser wouldn't address because there was no allergy. Now I take all different vitamins that started to make a difference after a couple weeks and I know exactly what not to eat. Sometimes I test it out and eat them anyways but I am quickly reminded why I shouldn't. I will continue to see Dr. K even though I know it's pretty pricey when not covered by insurance but ultimately kaiser was of no help and I am fully functioning again. My joints don't hurt, my energy levels are up tremendously and my clenching has subsided as long as I keep up with appointments. read more
