This #thankfulthursday post is a shoutout to the whole team at Empower Physical Therapy at the Riggs location. I have been coming here since Nov 2022 after a hamstring injury, but I have been seen for a host of issues with my legs that keep popping up. Kallie has been the main PT I work with, but I have also worked with Maryam and Maddie and all of them are fantastic. They have helped to pinpoint areas that need the most work and have used cupping, dry needling, massage gun, manual work, and KT tape to try to help me find relief. I may walk away bruised and battered lol but it's all helping (plus I just bruise easily)! I appreciate the fact that they work to find the root of the problem and not just try a bandaid fix. The entire staff is extremely helpful, polite, and friendly (E, G, Sierra, and everyone else). They all greet me by name when I walk in and genuinely care about me and my recovery (they even remember to check in and see how my marathon training is going). With all the issues I have been dealing with, I wouldn't be able to find relief or get better without the team here, and I am so thankful for each and every one of them! Empower Physical Therapy - Dry needling for my runners knee - Physical Therapy Near Me - Chandler, Arizona

They had us pay for the first two visits in January. The insurance covered both visits so we over paid approximately $275. We have been trying to get a refund for over 6 months. Billing department is useless and keeps saying, "the check is in the mail" Ridiculous that it's taking this long . If you go there and have a billing issue don't expect them to resolve the problem. read more

Had a scheduled appt at this location. Called to confirmed they received the doctors referral two weeks ago, and was told they had it. Thirty mins prior to my appt they called to advise they did not have referral and I would be responsible for therapy charges. I was extremely disappointing in how they treat new patients. Office staff is a bit incompetent in my view. This all could have been avoided if they checks paperwork correctly and prior to appt dates. Now I have to start all over and wait for therapy. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! SHOP AROUND FOR THE BEST PT PRICES because empower is NOT IT!!! I was charged for services that did not occur, charged in 15 minute increments while I was left waiting on assistants to return or was only there for part of the 15 minutes. Had the 15 minute incremental charges been made clear, I would have made sure I was getting their full attention, documenting services before and after as well as choosing the amount of time I stayed for exercises. About four years ago I slipped a disc. For the following three years, every few months I reinjured myself. It was crippling. The chiropractor was not helping. The last time I injured myself was exactly a year ago. It was excruciating. I could barely walk. I finally decided to go to physical therapy and ended up at Kinect. They treated my pain immediately and tried to get me comfortable. When I was finally able to move a couple weeks later they started teaching me various exercises and stretches. I've been stretching daily since and have not had a major injury for an entire year. I've waited a year to write this review because I wanted to test their treatment and advice. I'm stronger and more limber than ever. They could have sold me on more sessions but they were more interested in getting me right and able to take care of myself. read more

After breaking my arm above the elbow The muscles would not function. My doctor prescribed physical therapy at Kinect on Riggs Road. Within 3 weeks I could again handle a fork, dress without assistance, drive my car, which I could not do before, The therapists were very knowledgeable as well as gentle in restoring my arm to near full functioning. read more

I have had pain in my leg for nine months without having a doctor or neurologist or any specialist able to diagnose or treat it effectively. The first day I walked into Kinect, my therapist asked me questions and prodded various spots on my leg and was able to describe what was going on and why and develop a treatment plan. I can't say enough good things about Kinect Physical Therapy in San Tan Valley! The great team, led by Blaine Brooks, P.T. turned a discouraged woman who didn't understand her Doctor's diagnosis and hadn't a clue about what was causing her excruciating neck, shoulder, arm and finger pain into one with the latest information about the circumstances which resulted in her "frozen shoulder." Their wonderful (and varied) therapy methods were exactly what I needed to heal. I now have much greater extension and flexibility in my arm and shoulder; and I am - for the most part - pain free! Better yet, they have given me the tools to continue my recovery and eventually return to my active Senior life! I will never forget how, when my father visited from Chicago and complained of arm numbness - Blaine did an assessment and recommended exercises which immediately relieved his discomfort. To make a long story short in mid August 2012 I ended up hurting my back to the point I could not walk or sleep. This happened the day before I had to fly back to Michigan on my annual trip with my son. I happened to get in to see my Chiropractor which he could not do much as my back was like a "brick" so with that I got onto my flight to Michigan. The flight there and back was a challenge to walk and move. I even tried to see my dad's Chiropractor which did not do much. So when I got back to Arizona I went to see my Primary Care Physician who referred me to Kinect. At this point with hardly being able to move and in excruciating pain I hobbled in for my first appointment. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable on first impression. I got to work with Blain who was my main Physical Therapist and the Physical Therapy Assistant James who were awesome! After the first day they determined I had a bulging L2 and could be months of therapy. I noticed great improvements with lower pain and regaining my flexibility once again even after the first visit.. They always stressed one important thing to always do your exercises daily which I did. So after 4 weeks I was discharged on notion of what to look out for and knowing how to prevent it. Thanks to Kinect and their knowledgeable staff in getting me back to where I was prior to my injury! I can't be more pleased that I chose Kinect PT for therapy on what had become a constant nuisance and handicap: a stiff neck. It had already been bothering me for a month and I have no idea how I first got it. I tend to come up with nagging injuries as I play competitive tennis at least 5 days a week. I tried 3 visits to my chiropracter, thinking that would help but the time with him is usually more limited and I did not notice any improvement. It was time to see my family doctor and get a referral for PT before it lingered on or even got worse. With only 3 visits now, I feel that the clicking and popping in my neck have lessened and that we are on the right track. It was then that I found out that 3 of my friends had gone here for therapy and recommended it as they also had success. I have been working mostly with Rick and Kyle but t seems to me that all of the therapists and their helpers are proficient and experienced. I've been asking a lot of questions and so far I have not been able to stump them. There is not a moment wasted and when I leave, I have a lot of exercises to do at home to hasten the recovery. I am looking forward to my remaining visits and I don't doubt that this group is the group to get me back on the courts 100%. They have my recommendation! read more

The Physical Therapists at Kinect are very professional. Kade the Physical Therapist asigned to me spent a lot of time with me on my first visit. He asked detailed questions about my situation so he could fully understand my condition, and make an informed decision about my course of therapy. He took several measurements and tested my strength, range and pain thresholds. I really appreciated the thoroughness. Kade along with the assistants put me through a good set of exercises at Kinect, and then sent me home with a program to follow at home in my off days. The exercises are not difficult, and do not cause pain, but I can feel them working. The Chandler facility is conveniently located with good parking. It is clean and well maintained, and contains all of the necessary equipment. All of the people who I have come in contact with have been pleasant, friendly and professional. They were very flexible when setting up an appointment schedule around my busy agenda. I am now in my second week, and I am seeing good progress already. Went to Kinect PT yesterday for the first time and they were professional, knowledgeable and determined to help my osteo-arthritis improve. I broke both of my wrist in a horrible accident in Maine. I had double surgery on both of my wrist and was in 2 casts for a number of weeks. I flew back home and when the cast came off, I was recommended by my doctor to go to physical therapy. I went to Empower Physical Therapy and I am not disappointed. The therapist there are wonderful. When I started I couldn't do anything. Now I can do so much more, that it makes me feel so much better and not dependent on someone to help me. They push you to do what you need to do; but, they don't want you to have pain while doing it. The staff there are wonderful and extremely helpful and kind. My son unfortunately tore his ACL at only age 9 playing football :( Thank goodness for his surgery went great and his knee is stronger then ever because of kinect physical therapy. Rick Berry, PT, DPT is Amazing!!! His extensive knowledge, skill, and technique has been life changing for my chronic pain associated with working in the dental field!
