This gym is amazing! Nice facility, great equipment and wonderful trainer! I've been coming to Empire for almost 3 years and I can confidently say it's the best gym experience I've ever had! As a woman, sometimes you feel intimidated to do certain workouts or don't know how to use a certain machine when you go to the gym but here you don't have to worry about that. There's no competition or comparison to anyone but yourself. They have plenty of equipment for every type of workout - whether you're into strength training or cardio. This place is great for beginners to professional athletes. On Saturdays, he even teaches a kids class that my kids have attended. They also have Jiu Jitsu classes here as well. Chris, the trainer, is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to offer support and advice when needed. I tell him what my goals are and he works with me to achieve those goals. He knows how to push me in the right way. When I don't think I'm strong enough to lift something, Chris is there pushing me because he knows I can. I've gotten so much stronger because of him and I love the feeling! I also love it because I don't have to think about what my workout is going to be that day. Chris is there to tell me exactly what to do, how to do it and make sure that I'm doing it correctly, which is most important. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has fitness goals. It's not only a gym but it's a community where you feel inspired by others to be better and be stronger! Overall, it's a welcoming, motivating environment, and I truly look forward to my workouts every day!

Don't miss out on beach muay thai during the summer :)

Love my Empire fam! If you're interested in training muay thai or jiu jitsu, Empire is a wonderful place to do so. I started here 2.5 years ago and fell in love with muay thai immediately--Coach Carlos and my classmates have made the whole experience so rewarding. I can't go a week without being here; I'm honestly relieved the holidays are over now so I can return to my Empire routine! The jiu jitsu side of things is also great, since everyone is really encouraging and committed to being better together on and off the mat. It's really like an extended family where everyone knows everyone and the sport becomes more fun than anything else. Omar is such a solid coach who manages so many students so well. The music is always going and the mat is always packed. There's also a section dedicated to weights, with awesome personal trainer Chris available to help people of all levels get stronger. I've only just recently started venturing over to the weights, which intimidate me, but Chris is the best at helping you get comfortable with weight training. Whatever your goals look like, Empire gives you the opportunity to learn and grow into the best version of yourself. You'll make friends, set a schedule, and see the hard work pay off. I've never been very confident in gym settings, but Empire has really made me feel at home from day one. I've met some of my closest friends there. I'm thankful I had a friend bring me into the fold, but even if you're completely new to Empire, I highly recommend giving it a try. You'll get to exercise and socialize simultaneously. It's one of the high points of my week!

This place probably needs a new Yelp page because it's under different ownership…read more Got my 7-year old son enrolled here about 3 months ago because I got tired of him playing video games and goofing off all the time. He also has trouble focusing at school and home, so wanted to give him something to keep busy. I wasn't looking to make him the next MMA champion or anything crazy. I just wanted him to learn to throw a punch and be able to defend himself, while also keeping him active. This place seems to be doing a good job with all of those. My son loves coming here and enjoys working out with other students. Coach David and Kru Stephanie are excellent with the students and seem to know how to tap into their potential. I like that they sometimes turn some training sessions into games to keep kids more engaged. All the students are nice too. I've been to some martial arts studios where some of the students act like thugs. I haven't seen seen any bad characters here. Kids/teens Muay Thai classes are held Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (sparring), and Saturday. Adult classes are held Monday thru Saturday. If you sign up here you can also take Taekwondo at Ferrer Academy, located on Lincoln Avenue near Moody Street. Such a small world because I used to train there over 30 years ago. Turns out the owner of this studio is the daughter of my former instructor. Tuition can be paid month-to-month or you can sign a 6-month or annual contract. Price is obviously better with longer contracts. Not sure if it's still offered but we were given a 2-week free trial period when we first signed up.

The instructors were always very patient, helpful and aware of all the kids. The overall vibe of this place was, and is still is amazing. She always felt part of the family and specially enjoyed kids fun nights. Every now and then, they had fun activities for the kids with jumpers and music which I thought was amazing and it gave the kids the opportunity to get to know each other better. After taking a one year break and as of today my daughter and I have re enrolled in the muay thai classes and we both can't wait to get started! Coach Johnson has always being extremely helpful and I appreciate that very much. It is people like him that go the extra mile to help someone better themselves and give us that extra push we ALL sometimes need. I highly recommend All In MMA for kids and adults, and I look forward to the epic trainings

They have a lot of new instructors and I can't wait to try them all. So far I've tried coaches Christian and Myles. They are both very patient and knowledgeable. They have great energy. I'm sure the other coaches are just as fun. They also have a kids class which is so cute. The parking is very easy. They have 2 bathrooms which are clean and much appreciated. A locker area for your belongings. I find the unlimited membership fits my lifestyle and is the most cost effective w how much I go. I'm in several dance studios and open gyms but this is by far my favorite. Such great community and space.

He was professional, approachable, and took the time to clearly walk me through everything without making it feel overwhelming. What stood out the most was how easy he made the whole experience, he answered all my questions, stayed patient, and made sure I felt confident with my decision. That kind of service really sets the tone for new members. Mike is definitely an asset to the team and represents the gym very well. Appreciate the great experience.

Anthony wasn't just a coach -- he built athletes. He mentored, developed, and inspired students like me to grow beyond what we thought was possible. The Jiu-Jitsu program had identity, structure, and leadership. Recently, Coach Mikey Alcantar has been a great addition. He's skilled, motivating, and brings high-level instruction to the mats. The students genuinely respect him However, it's frustrating to see the gym consistently fail to retain quality Jiu-Jitsu coaches. Strong leadership keeps a program alive, and the instability has affected the community. On top of that, the Jiu-Jitsu class schedule is limited and not flexible enough for working adults. Serious students need consistent training opportunities. Because of poor coach retention and restricted class times, many dedicated students have felt forced to leave and train elsewhere. The gym has potential -- but without stable coaching and better scheduling, it's difficult for the Jiu-Jitsu program to thrive long term.
