Super easy/quick ordering- we called ahead over the phone and by the time we got there the food was ready to go. Ordered the beef chow fun (my all time fav noodles) and sesame chicken combo. This is in my opinion consistently the best tasting american style chinese food. I don't mean on the Island, I mean in the whole country. And I've tried a fair amount of this style of chinese food. I typically go for general tso or sesame chicken, chow fun, dumplings, mu shu.. you know standard dishes. It has always been delicious and when I try stuff outside my usual things, they're always good too. Having said that I wondered why there was such a mediocre score on yelp.. and although I feel Empire deserves a much higher rating, there are some fair points. They are pricey, the prices do seem to be constantly going up. That I agree with. The service is brisk and efficient.. not super friendly, but they fill a lot of orders and get it fast.. no dilly dallying. I'll take speed and good food over pleasantries any day. I'm sure they make some mistakes, but that hasn't been my experience and I've been ordering here since they opened. Anyway. They're always very busy so I don't think the rating on Yelp is hurting them. Clearly people like the food. I'm one of them. read more

Terrible customer service! Maybe worse food. Ordered food and when I received the food it was undercooked and the order was missing items. I called to let them know the food was undercooked and that I didn't receive some of the order and the manager BILLY was extremely rude to me and was accusing me of being a liar. What happened to real customer service? During this time you would think restaurants would want to have excellent customer service seeing other restaurants closing their doors. We are keeping the place running. I was very unhappy with the food and extremely dissatisfied with the reaction of the manager to my complaint. Would not recommend. read more

By far, without a doubt, the best Chinese takeout on the island. First of all, the girls who work at the counter are great! Very attentive and friendly. The food is just so good. My family has ordered Chinese food from here for as long as I can remember and they've only missed an item maybe once or twice. We don't live too far, so we normally just pick it up since it's quicker. I'm obsessed with the specialty soups: chicken dumpling, roast pork, mei fun noodle. It's sooo good I crave it all the time! The prices have gone up over the years, but it's a clean place, never had any issues, and delicious Chinese food so it's worth it. One night about 7 months ago my In-Laws came over to eat we all decided to place a big order have more of a variety and my mother-in-law insisted she pay and wouldn't take no for an answer. My wife added her credit card to purchase the meal and she was satisfied. Months later my mother-in-law couldn't understand charges on her bill and disputed them as anyone would. But after my wife herd what happen and got to talking they realized it was my mother-in-laws card still auto saved on our account ordering food for months. Once we realized it wasn't fraudulent just a mistake she called back and told them we figured it out. We ordered again that week and they called to say we had to pay in cash cause of what was going on ok I said fine. They had already deducted money from the restaurant and the owner upon receiving this order came to do the delivery to find out what was going on. I explained the situation and said it was being resolved they removed the credit from my mother-in-law and it took maybe two weeks to resolve. My next order same deal they called you must pay in cash. Third order same thing. Ok figured maybe it takes longer till it's resolved on their end. Took a month off Today ordered and they call back saying you must pay cash. You know what it's been long enough now that it's resolved I'm not paying cash for eternity now you lose the business. We live in a digital age where people don't carry cash anymore and fraud is a real thing people act fast when they think something's wrong and mistakes happen get over it. I've spent thousands here over the years and if a hold on a few hundred dollars for a few weeks is hurting your business then you got bigger problems than accepting payments from me. read more
