Ron has already removed someone else's poor attempt at grouting our jetted tub, he thoroughly cleaned & prepped the area and professionally grouted the terrazzo tile to the tub! Nicole keeps things running and even Mr. Gage has discussed with us our projects. We recommend Mr. Handyman to do handy works needed around your place, in our case as treatments for ailments continue and/or when homeowner is unable to do them for their own reasons. Instead of sending a new invoice and working with me to correct the problem, he threatened to place a lien on my house! Note that Mr. Handyman subscribes to the Neighborly Done Right Promise. This says they promise to return and do the work right at no additional cost. He never did so, even though I paid in full. The final cost was $918.56, whereas my insurance company estimated the work at $498.30. I have filed a complaint with the Neighborly organization. See also my BBB review. He was very pleasant. We didn't feel the least bit self conscious having him in the house, even when our dogs were being crazy. Second, he did a fantastic job on the sink and it was not simple. He replaced a 6 inch deep two basin sink with regular faucets with a new single basin 9 inches deep. He put a touchless faucet on there, and redid the pipes underneath to accommodate the old garbage disposal. All of this cost less than 2X what I had been quoted for the outside faucet replacement alone by my plumbing maintenance company.

His pricing was fair compared to other estimates I received, and he was accommodating when we requested adjustments after installation due to clearance concerns around the water heater. The quality of the work was appropriate for the type of project. This is a utility closet rather than a visible living space, so I wasn't looking for high-end finish carpentry. The shelving is sturdy and functional, which was the primary goal. There were a few minor points worth noting. The shelves themselves were built from plywood while the framing was pine. This wasn't a major issue, but the exposed plywood edges remain somewhat rough despite being sanded. Additionally, when modifications were needed after installation, the shelf was cut in place with a jigsaw rather than being removed and recut, which left a less polished finish but it is not visible. Regarding pricing, the original quote included a first-time customer discount and staining. After deciding not to stain the shelves, the price remained unchanged. However, given that his overall quote was still significantly lower than many others I received, I felt the pricing remained fair and reasonable. Overall, I definately would hire again for practical, functional projects where value, responsiveness, and getting the job done are more important than fine-finish craftsmanship.
