Since he was a dog he had no way of opening the door and since he was 165 pound Great Dane he decided to try anyway. His approach was to simply eat/dig his way through. He did not succeed. Several feet of door and frame were injured. Repairs were needed and I found Larry on Yelp. That was a bit of luck. Larry responded quickly, did an excellent repair, and charged a very reasonable fee. He clearly has considerable experience. He is now our go-to handyman and we recommend him for you also.

Before and during the job, he also kept me updated. I was considering another handyman for this gig but his replies were full of non sequiturs. It was a no brainer to go with Eric. On top of everything -- Eric does siding repair, which isn't widespread. Most (if not all) siding companies won't do repairs, only replacements. Even worse, I had a hard time finding all that many handymen that did this sort of work. Glad I found Eric. Ultimately, he did a great job replacing a siding panel (had some rotted wood around a defunct dryer vent). He found the closest match and did a thorough and careful job. Oh and last but not least, his prices are reasonable. Don't hesitate.

I ordered a custom shelf on Etsy that came in many pieces with heavy shelves. We figured we'd see if Dan could install and while he was at it, fix an outlet, fix an outdoor light fixture, hang an irritating heavy photo collage, and fix our bedroom door that keeps pulling apart at the hinges. Strongly do not recommend…read more We had Nick come out to prepare a quote for some relatively straightforward work. He spent approximately two hours creating a detailed, line-by-line estimate. During the quoting process, tasks that appeared to require only 15 minutes were routinely estimated and billed at 30 minutes. Several very simple tasks were quoted at around $300 for 30 minutes of labor, which equates to approximately $600 per hour. Concerned by the pricing, I called the owner for clarification (Anthony Hunter). He stated their rate was $275 per hour, but also explained that they bill using detailed line items. Based on the estimate we received, the effective hourly cost was significantly higher than what we consider reasonable or competitive for this type of work. My issue is not with Nick personally, he was professional, but with the pricing model and the way the estimate was structured. The quote we received was dramatically higher than market and left me with little confidence that the billing practices are transparent or customer-focused. I would encourage anyone considering this company to obtain multiple quotes and carefully review all line items before proceeding. Similar companies charge $100-$200/hour - this pricing model is egregious. These are not lawyers, this is run of the mill handy-man work.

He had a friendly personality, arrived on time and did most of the work in the rain. When I was putting my items in the finished shed, I noticed extra pieces amongst the paper trash. They turned out to be connectors that should have been installed. In addition the doors wouldn't close properly. I contacted Alfredo and he came out to install the connectors and fix the doors. Later I realized that he had inserted a folded piece of cardboard under a corner of the shed to level it so the doors would close. He did not mention this to me or make any arrangements to fix the leveling issue that I had paid him for. He was defensive when I contacted him about it, but finally agreed to come out and fix it if I emptied out the shed. I knew that this would take some time to arrange as I am a senior citizen, so I told him that I would reach out when I was able to make arrangements with to empty and cover my storage items. When I notified him, he didn't respond for several days until I asked him if he was ghosting me. At that point he said that he was too busy and would "try" to fit me into his schedule when he had time. I finally had enough and said that it was almost 2 months since the project was supposed to be completed and I needed him to make time to fix it right away. He stopped communicating with me. Now I will need to hire someone else to properly level my shed, which will not only cost me more, it will take away the use of the shed as it is being repaired. Because this is outside the 30 days of the Yelp guarantee because of the reoccurring issues, I will be out of pocket. I recommend that you do not hire this person.

Mark was able to help us over the things we missed or misunderstood and he was great at communications. Most of the time, Mark always got back to us in timely manner and we could be worry free about getting in touch with him. All his crews were working diligently. Our old patio was demolished in 2-3 days and they took care of the debris well, especially compared to our past experienced from other contractors. We have experienced many contractors always very good at talking and promising on the quality of their works. Only Mark and Anton were the real deal for this matter. They didn't over talk, especially Anton. He normally didn't talk much, but worked diligently and showed his care and proud for the quality of his works. They used the quality materials and paid attentions in details and what we mentioned or commented. There was some delay, but you could tell Anton really wanted to get the jobs done as scheduled. We understood sometime things couldn't go as planed. Anyway, one person of his crew showed up before time every single day, really every single day! We have never experienced that with any other contractors. So far more than 2 times of remodeling our house, Mark and Antonio is the best working team we have ever experienced. We can't say that there wasn't any problems during their working, but when the problems occurred Mark would try his best to get the problems solved. Finally, our new screen room was done beautifully. While I had a basic idea of what I wanted, I debated getting a formal project manager to handle coordination of the full install. With a ton of experience doing this kind of install, Marcus helped out so much that I was pretty much able to handle coordination of the main pieces and personnel without needing to hire anyone else. He did a great job making the vision come alive and was transparent with any problems that arises (and importantly fixing them when necessary). He was friendly, fair with pricing, and also very quick-- framing and installation took only 2 separate, spread out days (to allow for drywalling and parts arrival in between). My personal experience with him in terms of communication was excellent, but I also purposefully avoided peak summer season so as not to catch him at a busy time. A really good balance between sharing his ideas for our project, but also really listening to our feedback on what we wanted/invisoned. All the right insights for how to keep us in budget, and very generous with (we can add this/that for little/no extra costs since we're already doing XYZ). We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation.
