After calling everywhere to get my cloudy granite serviced and being told " go to Home Depot... that's what we use... and do it yourself." Well I tried that! No better. Sean came out, simply took off the residue of past products , applied a good sealer and DONE! He said just use soap and water sponge to clean and occasional ammonia free windex ! I needed a section of my kitchen granite replaced. The existing granite was about 11 years old and we were keeping two pieces as they were- the kitchen island and a small coffee nook area. The main portion of counter had a break in it and that was the piece we needed to replace. I looked at the big box stores but am so glad I ended up choosing Empire Granite. Megan in the office was great. She talked to me about the challenge of getting granite to match and set the expectation for me from the beginning that most likely there will be differences from the particular granite color from 11 years ago to today. She found a few pieces for me and allowed me to view the photos and offered for me to go see each available piece as well. The turnaround time for the installation was so fast- and Sean and the crew were so nice and did a great job. There is one seam in the countertop and my husband couldn't even find it when he came home from work the day of the install. Sean and his team removed the existing granite without any issue and again did an impeccable job with the install. I highly recommend Empire Granite! read more

A big shout out to Sean and Megan at Empire Granite. After being screwed over by my contractor (he said he ordered my counter tops but never did) I went over and talked to Megan. Sean came the next day to measure everything and ordered the counter top immediately. Even though they were quite backed up and were not sure if they could install before May, 2 weeks (the first week we were away) after ordering they were here installing. It completed my kitchen and it looks awesome. Do not use this fabricator! He sent us to his stone quarry in Albany, and after picking out a beautiful piece of white granite, and paying $5,000 after installation , the problems began. After a day, the entire surface began to disintegrate and rust. This was in February, and we tried to contact Sean, the owner, several times and he refuses to acknowledge the problem. Now we are living with a completely non useful granite countertop that is dangerous and unhealthy. We are so afraid of the integrity of the surface and that the grit will end up in our food. We tried numerous times to reach out and have him rectify the problem, but he refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem. His receptionist told us that he "wipes his hands" of any problems when they happen because he is going out of business soon, and just does not care. Please do not use this dishonest business! We wanted to warn other people, so they can also avoid being ripped off. read more

I received no assistance when there was a problem. Sean, the owner and one of the installers, didn't even come to look at the area of concern that I called about the day following installation, and I had the added expense of hiring a stone restorationist to repair my new granite counter top due to depressions and fissures. I received no response when I requested only partial reimbursement for the repair. VERY DISAPPOINTED and CANNOT recommend Empire Granite. read more

Empire Granite offers all sorts of stone and one line of manufactured stone for use in kitchen, bath and all over your house. They installed a granite countertop for me and a full backsplash and did an excellent job. Sean, the owner, oversaw each step of the process and was thoroughly professional throughout. I would recommend this company to anyone who is interested in installing a lovely new look to their home. Some time after Sean installed my new kitchen granite, I called to ask him if he would modify the backsplash because I purchased a new stove. He came over that same day, removed the backsplash, cut it for me in the driveway and reinstalled it in about two hours. He DID NOT CHARGE ME A THING. He said he was happy to do this.
