I checked and there are lots of stores in the Chicago area but this appears to be the first in the Milwaukee area. It's a interesting concept. Everything is frozen, including meats, fish, vegetables and meals. There is a large selection of interesting, or what might be considered exotic foods. You can get cuts of Elk, Bison, and Venison. They have organ meats and oxtails. They have a large selection of shrimp, and some that are so big that you might mistake them for lobster. For many of the items, there are plenty of choices. For example there is not just one salmon or shrimp selection. They have at least 12 different types to choose from. For different locations, different types, different, and different types of production standards (organic, non-gmo, pasture raised, etc) The store is well organized. All of the standing freezers or wall units are neatly packed and well labeled. Pricing is easy to discern. It's easy to shop and find what you are looking for. I found the help to all be helpful, and friendly. The staff at the registers were patient, and chatty. I bought a couple of items, and looking forward to cooking up the pasture raised chicken (breasts) and the Gulf Coast shrimp. This is not my side of town, so it's a little out of my way. However, they explained that for $29 you can get a year of free deliveries. That's a great deal!

Some Korean ingredients, some Japanese, Chinese. It's all in one convenient spot. They're well stocked on any buns and dumplings you'd need, veggies not carried in chain grocers, fresh meat and seafood, condiments for days. Teas, dried herbs, noodles, fresh baked goods, snacks, utensils and cookware. There's a lot packed into this little shop. The aisles can feel cramped at times, so patience is key. Take your time, maybe you'll discover some new! I really love the convenience of pre-sliced meats for cooking hotpot. Pre-packaged soup bases are also amazing. I'm a fan of little sheep brand. They also carry my favorite brand of milk tea from Japan. The wall of ramen is also impressive, as there are many varieties to choose from.

Warm heat and perfect proportion of cheddar and sausage. Delicious right off the grill and amazing reheated later. Enjoyed with pasta for a lunch and with potatoes for a breakfast. I tried the Reuben brat out of curiosity. I am a fan of a Rachel and not a Reuben but gave this a go. It was wonderful. The perfection of flavors and the best cheese bite every bite of the sausage. I usually get cheddar, lettuce tomato, tartar, and creamy coleslaw on mine. As you can see from the picture it's usually enough for two meals. Yes, when you walk in around lunch time that deli counter will be swamped, but I encourage you to grab a number and know that these employees are efficient so you won't be waiting that long. And don't even get me started on the Balut egg... WHO is eating that?! But putting my adventurous-food questions aside, this is absolutely the place to come for all your stir-fry, curry, and ramen needs. They have an amazing selection of vegetables, sauces, oils, noodles, and rice--including plenty of options in bulk. The food court looked AMAZING, and whatever you do, DO NOT skip the bakery! H Mart was my favorite, followed by Ranch 99. Unfortunately, here in Wisconsin, I have to now drive nearly 10 miles to get to the closest Asian market! So when I heard Pan Asian was opening in my area (2-3 years ago), I literally marked my calendar for opening day. I'm so happy they're a part of the community now! First off, today, LOUIS deserves a big gold star (if not a raise, hint hint, management, lol). Not only did he stop what he was doing, but walked me over to what I was looking for. TWICE. No eye-rolling, no exasperated sighs - nope, he just said "sure, it's right over here..." THAT kind of customer support alone goes MILES for those who are new or unfamiliar with a place (as I was), and makes me want to return again soon! Like many Asian stores, Pan Asian had elements of "chaos" throughout the store - they were doing lots of stocking when I was there (mid-afternoon on a Wednesday), and the music was a bit too loud (Note to management: background music is supposed to be just that - in the background, quiet and atmospheric - not a dance club). As at other stores, Pan Asian needs to keep tabs on their price tags - many were missing, or the product above the price tag was NOT the product on the tag, or 2 different but similar products by the same brand with only one price tag made shopping a bit frustrating. But as I always do, I'll have a short list of 3-5 items, and end up leaving with a cartful. ‍ For me it's easy to spend a solid hour or more there, just oooh-ing and ahhh-ing over all the exotic items, the live fish, the interesting kitchen goods (even if I can't read 99% of the labels). I always try to leave with something new to me; today, it was pickled plums (I've started making sushi and onigiri at home, and heard pickled plums were a Japanese favorite with onigiri). They're awesome, but very salty, indeed. Their produce section is large, amazing, and FRESH. Hard to choose what to get from that section, as well as their bountiful flavorings, sauces, Speaking of, I was thrilled to find that the store also has an incredible sushi selection and yes, even onigiri too (though TBT the price was a bit steeper than I hoped, and I could not find any onigiri molds in their hard goods section). The store definitely has a small town feel about it, and I don't think that's on accident. I really felt like this was a place where many of the staff is familiar with their regular customers and maybe that's why the cashier (Tana, I believe) wasn't particularly friendly, because she did not recognize me. I was able to score some Valentine's Day cards and also found a bar of clearance soap, so I was feeling pretty good about my purchases overall. If I was in this area again, I wouldn't be opposed to stopping here again to pick up some things.
