I used this company because they had such great reviews -- well, beware! Sometimes the reviews are NOT accurate. They came out and gave me quotes -- extremely HIGH quotes for everything. I had one slat blind repaired and it was outrageously expensive. They were also supposed to fix a part broken on our motorized blind. It is now 7 months later. I was originally told that they were checking into parts and would schedule a time to fix the motorized outdoor blind in the near future, and then I heard nothing back. Since then I have talked to Ruby at their front desk multiple times, and each time she says she will check with the guys and get back to me. She never calls back. If they don't want the business, why don't they just say so? Bottom line: the company only wants big and/or expensive jobs that they can overcharge you for. I guess they have blinders on when it comes to being realistic or fair. read more

Empire Blinds installed exterior sun screens on all of our windows to help improve energy efficiency in our two story home. Clint and Matt were both very knowledgeable and helped us choose a product that looks good from the outside and will hopefully save us some money this summer. They also installed a frosted tint on our bathroom window to help with privacy. The turnaround between their estimate and install was less than a week. They showed up on time, went through all our options and answered all our questions. We placed our order that day. They said about 4 weeks to get shutters in. They were in at 4 weeks. We recently purchased a home that did not have exterior solar shades and our neighbor suggested we give Empire a call. Clint & Matt came out to measure and provide an estimate; I was extremely pleased with the relative low cost for 7 large windows with 90% solar shading and contracted with them for the job. They came when they said they would and completed the job. Unfortunately, and these things happen sometimes, they cracked one of our windows. To be fair, it was in a difficult spot, high up on the house. Here is where it gets good: without any quibble, they arranged for a glass company to come out, measure the cracked window, and replaced it at their expense (it took two weeks because of the Covid 19 issues) but we are back to good as new. Whatever You do, DO NOT get your blinds from EMPIRE., U pay 1/2 down when u place your order, someone comes out to measure (6) weeks later the blinds are delivered , u pay the difference before the blinds are installed . After the installation is done, I then call they are not install correctly , still not right . You can't get anyone after that for 2/4 weeks if then . Super helpful! Just moved into a home built in 1997 with real wood shutters that needed staple repairs and tightening. Client responded to my add on Yelp right away and came out to make the all the repairs for a flat service fee. They showed up early and were in and out in 30 minutes! We needed to have a cellular blind re-strung and a little bit of plastic repair. Empire blinds was very quick to reply (on a Sunday) and arrived the next day to assess the situation. They gave me a quote on the spot, removed the blind for repair and placed a temporary shade so we could still have some privacy while the repairs were completed.
