This place is delicious! I ordered the crab Rangoon, yellow chicken curry, pineapple fried rice, and wonton soup. The curry has the perfect kick to it and comes with white rice. The wonton soup tastes great! The pineapple fried rice is the BOMB! If you like Hawaiian pizza do not hesitate. It's basically regular fried rice (onions, carrots, peas, etc) with pineapple in it. I haven't had fried rice this good since I was 10, and I'm now 23. And lastly, the crab Rangoon is perfectly sweet and creamy and fried to perfection. The man sitting on the passenger side was stuffing his face with a tray of Chinese food. The other man walked to our door with our food and did not have a pen for us to sign the receipt with. We opened out food and was disappointed from the start. All the food was barely warm and all of our fried food got soggy. The fried rice was hard and crunchy, which means it is probably days old. I ordered a beef dish that had an unappetizing, slimy and powdery texture. It tasted almost like liver and had no flavor. My wife got the Hawaiian platter and the beef was as tough as beef jerky. We also got the lo mein, it was flavorless and the chicken still had tendons and grizzle all throughout. We ordered a few other items that were all inedible. We tried to give it a chance but had to dump it in the trash. We called the restaurant to let them know and the lady on the phone was incredibly rude and started to argue with my wife. Never order from here. Not only was the food horrible but the customer service was really bad. 1. None of the food was hot or even mildly warm. 2. The inside of the egg rolls were mushy as if it was chewed up before wrapping them, the wrap was soft as if they sat in grease for hours. 3. Two days later i called back and the same manager, said she spoke to the owner (instead of him calling me like i was told) and he said to give me back the $5 difference from my total bill after the tip and what they charged me. Then when i asked her what we were going to do about the uncooked beef (which i ate none, i returned it when i went to pick up the $5. she took the container and threw it in the trash and told me, "the owner said that's how we make it and if i didn't want it like that then i should have asked for it to be well done" Once i asked "so that's it i lose out on my money for the meal because it was uncooked?" she told me that's how its cooked but the owner said if you wanna order more food, he will give you 20% off your next order. They over charge me everytime I order. This last time, they charged us TWICE. We paid them using the Beyond Menu App, which pays the restaurant. Also, we weren't given a receipt because the delivery driver claimed he only had one copy. We have called both beyond menu and Empire about them charging us over $90 for a $36 order which took them an hour and a half to deliver!! Empire keeps claiming the owner is out of town. ****THIS IS A LONG REVIEW AND ACCOUNT OF MY DEALINGS WITH EMPIRE CHINESE RESTAURANT. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I called to place an order for delivery and the woman who would later identify herself as the so-called manager was extremely rude and short so I attempted to cancel within 30 seconds of giving her my card information and she claimed that the card was already charged. I argued that food preparation hasn't started so the order can be cancelled, to which she responded "DON'T EVER CALL BACK HERE". I then called back and asked if I needed to go up there to get confirmation that my order was cancelled to which she responded "COME UP HERE AND YOU WILL BE DEALING WITH THE COPS" and hung up. I made my way up there and when I arrived, I asked a woman behind the front counter for proof of cancellation for my order and she had no idea what I was referring to. I quickly realized that it was not the same person I was dealing with over the phone. This particular woman gave me my receipt and I left. Upon explaining the situation to my wife, she made her way up there to get the owner's name so we can file a complaint. As soon as she showed up and inquired about the name, the 'so-called' manager made the connection between my wife and me, and called the cops. After a few minutes an officer showed up and we explained the situation. He tried to enter the store to speak to her but she yelled that he get us off the premises, at which time the officer suggested that we leave and obtain the business ownership information by other means. We then head home and about 30 minutes later, a man calls me and asked "WHY DID YOU HAVE YOUR GIRL GO UP THERE TO TALK TO MY GIRL", confused, I asked who he was and he then stated "WHY DID YOU HAVE YOUR GIRL GO TO MY BUSINESS, I'M THE MANAGER". We had a heated 60 second argument and he ended the call by stating "JUST SO YOU KNOW, I HAVE YOUR INFO". We live on base and I alerted base PMO and a report was taken. TAKE NOTE: -HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND -MY PERSONAL CELL PHONE NUMBER WAS GIVEN TO THE SO-CALLED MANAGER'S BOYFRIEND SO HE CAN COMMUNICATE A THREAT. The action of threatening me alone should be grounds for restrictions or a ban to be placed on this business by the base inspector general.
