I'm not normally an actor but I took the opportunity because I was free for the shoot. This company has very strong communication and most of the film people on set were a pleasure to work with. All the instructions of where to be and what to do were very clear (which was good because I was new) and I met so many great people. I also was paid promptly afterwards. I would definitely work with this company again. Thank you!

I was…read morecompletely new to acting after a career change, but after just my first program I started getting up to 10 auditions a week. From learning script analysis, on camera technique, getting my headshots and reel, and having help getting my casting account set up in class, I found myself getting cast super often immediately after graduation from the beginner program. I now take the on going advanced classes, and all the students and coaches truly feel like a family to me. The school's coaches are all working actors themselves who have worked with some of the biggest names in the industry so they are the best to learn from. They are people that you can go to with any questions you may have as a new actor and they are always so helpful. This isn't the type of school where you eventually take all the classes and have no more to gain; the advanced classes are always growing and the coaches give us scenes and work that they know will help our individual careers. The coaches take the most amazing tapes in class for us so I have a great reel from that to use for castings. We also always have endless support, a place to film our self tapes, and help with our auditions at this school. The classes that are offered are also the most affordable acting classes I have found in the city. I am grateful everyday that I have Act First!

ANYWAY.. Telsey and Co cast for everything from musicals and plays to commercials and feature films. They moved to 43d street actually and their new offices are very welcoming. The waiting room is HUGE and has lots of posters, and is painted green which I learned is supposed to be a 'calming' color....right... because the hyperventilation before I auditioned for Spider man today was simply a figment of my imagination.. The bathrooms deserve a shout out. Huge stalls, plenty of light from giant windows, and enough mirrrors to accommodate approximately 15 worried musical theater divas, or 20 regular ladies.(they tend to not travel with curling irons therefore take up less space) Anyway, thumbs up on the new location, auditioning here makes me feel important and a teeny weeny big more calm than other places.
