I rarely write long reviews on Yelp but I certainly make an effort to write when I have a…read moreparticularly negative experience or when I have a particularly positive experience. In this case, I don't know if there's enough room in this tiny text box to type all the positivity I want to type about Generation Model Management. I have worked in the entertainment industry since 2007, specifically in the NY market, and I have dealt with many casting directors, producers, and various industry professionals. One thing I learned (before becoming a parent) was that the entertainment industry is small and the people in it do not hold back on feedback. With that said, I have always been told that Generation Model Management was a top agency in NY and they stand apart from the rest by working specifically with children, by being extremely professional, and by having a strong and well-respected leader, Patti Fleischer. Patti Fleischer is an incredible businesswoman who always, without fail, has the best interest of her kids at the forefront of her efforts. Flash forward to having my own children and being on the other side of the desk... Myself and my husband were invited into a meeting with Patti Fleischer after submitting both of our children to GMM. I submitted my children at the advice of a fashion production company president who stated she would not put her own children with any other agency. Boy, am I glad I listened to her. Generation Model Management from the very first day has been a warm, loving, professional, and truly all-embracing supportive environment. During our meeting we spoke about the industry, what would be expected of a parent of a model, what the casting/booking process involves, and any questions we had as a family. We brought both of our "two under two" kids to meet with the team at GMM and we wholeheartedly signed that day with ZERO hesitation. Generation has proven time and time again to be a perfect match for our family. Patti, Ellen, and the entire team are hardworking, caring, knowledgable, and unquestionably great at their jobs. My children have booked well over 30 jobs in their young lives and made memories to last a lifetime. This is only the beginning, too! On a more serious note, we have always had thorough communication from GMM, my children have always been paid within 90 days of their jobs, and whenever I had a question or a situation arise at a casting or booking Patti and/or Ellen have made themselves entirely available and aided in the quick and positive resolution we needed. This team works with you the whole way. More than business though Patti and her team care. They have reached out and asked me about my family, our health, and my children's activities all unrelated to modeling. They asked "just because" as a family member or friend would. GMM invests personally in your children and in your family. It is no surprise that the parents past and present of Generation are very inclusive and welcoming. Patti leads by example. Soon after signing I realized that we were now part of a family. Everyone in the Generation family is not only supportive but helpful and kind. To sum up Generation Model Management as a business in one sentence: they have a very old school mindset in a new age world. Your children are PEOPLE before they are MODELS to them. I truly believe that there is something to be said for an agency that has been in business as long as Generation and we are blessed to be a part of their past, present, and future.

I can't say enough good things about the Intro to Yoga package I completed with Nicole. Beyond…read morebeing just knowledgeable, she knew how to present the information in digestible amounts so that I felt as though I was always engaged and learning. She blends some of the things I might have previously viewed as "new-agey" with so much science and anatomy knowledge that I was able to silence my inner cynic and really learn the skills that have already started to improve my day to day life. Having someone work with me one on one with the poses was great, but really the thing that was game changing was the way she helped me develop strategies for incorporating yoga into my daily life. As a bartender I work long shifts on my feet, she has given me ways to stretch and breathe that I can do when I'm in the middle of a twelve hour shift that really improve the way I feel during and after long days. She taught me so much about breathing that has shifted the way I face the day, reducing anxiety and improving my mood almost immediately. And because I'm not the most flexible person (yet), she showed me modifications and stretches I could do to increase flexibility and get the same benefits of the full pose. I feel like the thing that keeps the people who need yoga the most, from getting such an amazing introduction is that most private lessons are over $100/hour. Third eye has made this package more affordable (which is amazing), but also they have exponentially increased the value of the lessons. Nicole isn't just teaching you how to do yoga poses. She's teaching you from the inside out about incorporating yoga into your life in a million different ways. You leave there feeling like the poses are the least important part, and the core of what you've learned will carry you on an amazing journey for the rest of your life. Tonight I attended my first regular group class. I was still very much a beginner, but I was confident in my practice and my core and so I left feeling positive and excited about continuing with yoga. Do yourself a favor. Treat yourself to this. You won't regret it.
