So yummy! Everything is good. Casual ambience. We loved it! Make sure to ask what's inside some of them. Surprises!

These empanadas were to die for. The spinach and artichoke was my favourite, but all of them were amazing. The staff were great and there was very little wait for the food.

Now, I'm not an empanada connoisseur but I definitely think the empanadas here are super tasty! My favorite is the spinach and artichoke. Although, I do think the beef argentina is also good! They have a variety displayed so it can be hard to choose, but it's worth trying! Also, they're pretty filling, so it will take a few times to try all of them. I really like how they have the flavor imprinted on the empanada; I think that's a pretty nice aesthetic touch. I hold many events for work, and I usually contact Empanola for catering. They're pretty inexpensive and are easy to grab for lunch. They will also individually wrap them if requested. I've never had an issue with catering, and I would recommend it!

Empanola opened up back in 2017 and quickly became noted for their high quality South American empanadas which are available with a variety of great fillings. New Orleans is no stranger to food items like empanadas as crawfish pies and meat pies have long been popular in the area. Empanola has a good menu with enough items to please nearly any taste as long as it involves empanadas. Many people consider this the best South American food empanada option in New Orleans and they provide some great South American food empanada options along with a lot of fun. I have been to empanola before and enjoyed their empanadas so couldn't wait until they reopened. they recently reopened so i ordered the spinach and artichoke - which was really good; the ratatouille - which was alright; and the crawfish which apparently was also good the spinach empanada with the accompanying mint sauce was

I can't say enough great things about Empanola! Charming neighborhood vibe, with a few tables outside and a few more inside. Spotlessly clean. Super friendly staff who will happily help you select from the freshly made empanadas in the case. Great variety of mostly savory options and one or two sweets. I ordered four to go, the crawfish étouffée, mushroom & cheese, Argentine beef and Peruvian chicken, along with a bowl of tomato basil soup. After waiting 5-6 minutes for the empanadas to bake, they were packaged, bagged and ready to go. The smells coming from the backseat had my mouth watering for 20 minutes as I rushed home. Every bite was a taste sensation like no other! I honestly can't pick a favorite as they were all amazing... and filling! We each had two empanadas with a cup of soup, for the perfect lunch. I heard a rumor that they may be opening a second location on Magazine Street. I hope they continue to grow this winning concept with the cool name and perfect meat pies, each branded with the flavor so no guessing when you get home!

I've tried this place a couple of times, first time was through uber eats. I was pleased but not ecstatic about it. Not until recently did I start to absolutely love it! Service HAS always been friendly, and it's the perfect place to get a delicious bite when you want something quick. The two empanada with salad combo is perfect. Both the chorizo and crawfish are by far my favorite flavors. What I was really blown away by was the banana empanada! Wow. A great way to finish the meal for sure.

Honduran food in New Orleans? Definitely!…read more After Match Day, we went to celebrate at Tia Maria's Kitchen. Love, love, love this cozy mama and papa restaurant. It was busy at lunchtime, but it gave us time to reflect on the hard work that led to two of my daughters matching in great residency programs. Two years ago, we also celebrated another amazing match day with a friend who flew in from San Francisco to help our family celebrate. I had the San Pedro Maduro. A deep fried plantain filled with veggies, black beans, avocados, crema and queso. I had mine with chicken. One of my daughters did hers with more veggies. Absolutely delicious! My family ordered a wide variety of papusas and tacos. Definitely add an agua Fresca. Loved the horchata, but the favorite was the moracuya. Blackberry and passion fruit. So refreshing and delicious. Muchas gracias for welcoming our family and friends into your cocina familiar. We loved enjoying your family's kitchen on a special day celebrating another chapter of our family's journey. #2800

I've been wanting to hold back on this review because I swear every time I go, there's so many people ordering takeout or dining it! It very much is getting the attention it deserves. I will say, pricier than your other honduran joints but this one is worth it. You can taste the love and fresh ingredients they pour into this place. If you can, go with a group of people so you can try a bunch of dishes. You seriously cant go wrong with anything on the menu but my favs are: Mega Baleada with carne asada and their pupusas! I've had the pastelitos, enchildas hondurenas, combo miramar, combo lempira. Note: Anything that mentions Hondurenas (tacos and enchiladas) they're different than your typical Mexican style!**

Fresh seafood from the Gulf of MEXICO and a wicked drink menu. They offer several ceviches. Tapas include guacamole, empanadas, crawfish queso, fish dip and veggie salads like crispy cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. We had the crispy cauliflower served with tempura, cashew habanero crema, garbanzo hash, and chimichurri. Loads of flavor and just the right bite size for tapas/apps. Plates include churrasco, fish and grits, paella (can be served veggie or without shellfish if you're allergic), lamb, Yucatan style pork, shrimp or steak mofongo, and chicken poblano. I had the churrasco, served with papas bravas. Steak cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. My husband had the steak mofongo and the beef tips, like the churrasco, were seasoned perfectly. The plantain mash was sweet and somehow savory at the same time. We loved both dishes. They make mean margaritas and caipirinhas hre, and also offer drinks like the paloma, the Bolivian sour, sangria, and specialty drinks. Service was amazing. She was so upbeat and helpful. This restaurant was a little slow when we went. It deserves a lot more love. It's so close to the touristy part of the French Quarter. Leave the gimmicky spots and come here, you won't regret it.

I found this online prior to my trip and immediately added it to my list of places to eat. There are a few locations and I debated going to more than one of them. I only made it here once, but wanted to go back many more times. It looks like this might be a very small franchise, I will definitely go again if I ever run across this somewhere else. I loved it. There is not a lot of seating, a teeny bit more is available outside, it is not as fast as you would think it would be. It does seem like it can get pretty crowded fast, but this food is very portable and would be easy to take to eat on the go. I tried the 2 vegan options, the yellow curry and the impossible, I could eat the impossible version once a week for the rest of my life. My non veg partner was also very impressed, he loved that they had empanada version of New Orlean's food, he could not stop talking about the crawfish etouffee. He acknowledges that he would have eaten here many more times as there were a ton of other things he would like to try. I do wish they had some kind of vegan version of a New Orlean's food. I really appreciate that the emapandas are stamped with the name of what it is, this way you never have to worry about biting into the wrong one. I really enjoyed the chimichurri sauce as well, if I ever go again I will definitely get some extras to go and keep these as a snack for my hotel room.
