For a drink I got a Jugo de Lulo, a favorite of mine when I travel to Colombia, and it tasted nice, but seemed a little small compared to those I've had in other Colombian places. We ordered empanadas. My first empanada was not freshly cooked and lacked the snap in the masa that comes when it's right out of the fryer. Instead, the masa was rubbery and cool. The other empanadas and my second one were fine, so they'd unloaded an old one on us with our order. Since my wife got the Bandeja Paisa, and I knew I'd end up helping her to finish it off (the plate was typically massive) I ordered from the arepa menu and got an arepa with shrimp. It looked underwhelming on delivery as it was lacking the style and topping shown in the photo. It tasted fine, but wasn't anything special at all. The third member of our party ordered the shrimp and squid in cream, which she enjoyed. Then the staff got annoying when they tried to clear our plates away while we were still eating. We asked them to wait until we were all finished, but two minutes later we had to stop them again. They were literally trying to grab the plate in front of me while I was moving some of my wife's bandeja paisa to it. Finally, we asked for a takeout box, and they were hovering over the table waiting to clear it and actually started as I was loading the takeout box. It was as if they couldn't get us out of there fast enough. After all that, we couldn't get out of there fast enough either. FYI, be advised that tips were included in the bill even for our three-person party. It wasn't mentioned, but it was on the bill when we reviewed it before paying.

She said we'd have to wait 20 minutes for a manager to help us. When the manager arrived (from another room), the server tried to say that the item wasn't available and then she tried to say that we had ordered a different meal than what was shown. It took us about 20 minutes to have our bill adjusted. Even though the food was very good, the customer service was not good in the least.

The front room has music some nights and can be noisy, but the back rooms are quiet and service there is impeccable. On our last visit, our server overheard us talking about this meal being for our wedding anniversary. After our main course was cleared, we were presented with a dessert on the house. Owner, Shiv and Juan were communicative, knowledgeable, and accommodating throughout the planning process, during the party itself, and even after. At the time we hosted our party (July 2025), Lola's wasn't open for lunch so we had the whole restaurant (and patio!) to ourselves from noon to 4:30pm with a flexible set-up time prior to the party start. Guests arrived around noon with the surprise guest of honor arriving around 12:30pm. The connectivity from indoor space to outdoor patio takes this venue to the next level; perfect for a celebratory cigar and beautiful weather days. For set-up, we arrived around 11:15am and had plenty of time to set-up with help from the staff. What's incredible about Lola's owners and staff is that they don't just help you with anything and everything, they WANT to help you with anything and everything. They felt more like family friends than restaurant or venue staff. We could tell they truly cared about us, the party, and really wanted to make everything as special as possible. They helped us with everything from the exact table and chair arrangement in the room to decor and even a spotify playlist. Anytime we needed anything throughout the duration of the party they were eager and willing to help. Appetizers were served family style, then the entrees, then we did toast prior to dessert. For parties of 4 or more, they offer a sampling of their menu in a family style setting, $40 per person with Ropa Vieja (cooked beef stew to perfection over white rice) or $48 per person with skirt steak with 20% required for all reservations of 9 people or more. Some of the other menu favorites were the chorizo ajillo (Spanish sausage sauteed in garlic) and the salmon asado con mango caliente (grilled atlantic salmon with a mildly spiced mango glaze with pineapple salsa and polenta cakes). Everything was delicious. For drinks, it's BYOB. We provided red and white bottles of wine which were opened at our direction by the staff and placed on the tables and in ice buckets around the room. Additionally, one pitcher of Lola's signature red sangria was placed on every table, for which we provided Carlo Rossi Merlot (recommended by the owners, deliciously approved by me). One of my favorite things about Lola's for a party or special occasion is how colorful it is, leaving us with vibrant and lasting photographs and memories for years to come. As you can see from our photos, guests were smiling and happy with many complimenting us after the fact on what a fun and well done party it was. Highly recommend.

I thought it was a cake and my husband thinks Yucca, but I love Yucca. It was rectangle and the outside was hard and the inside crumbles like a muffin. He ended up finishing it for me. The place is ok. Bit on the louder side but that expected of a restaurant like this that most ppl show up with drinks and big groups of friends. Also the place is BYOB! Which is awesome. My rating is 3.5 they don't have halfs, if I could come back and get another dish I would do so and update my review. The staff was extremely nice!
