The beef empanada was good, the corn and cheese was ok. Empanadas are delicious so I was happy to see this food truck. However, I wish they had more of a selection, maybe a salad or something lighter to go with an empanada.

Found this food truck outside of Pins Mechanical the other day and what a treat it was! While I can't tell you that it will always be located there. What I can tell you was this was my first time having an empanada and they were super tasty. They are pretty small, so I'll recommend getting 2 so that you don't have to wait in line again. I made that mistake and jokingly fussed at the nice young man who was taking the orders. "Why didn't you tell me they were going to be super good and we'll see you back in a few moments." Out of the 2 had which were the chicken and beef, the chicken is the way to go! Good prices, great service, nice vibes and tasty food. Just what you want. I hope you enjoy it!

I randomly stumbled upon this food truck during a trip to Nashville. I've never had an empanada before and after tasting the ones from Empanada Lua, I can honestly say I've been missing out! I tried the Corn & Cheese and Chicken empanadas. While both were good, the chicken was fantastic! I could've eaten a whole plate of them! I tried them both with the Chipotle Ranch dipping sauce and it was the perfect combo! The young man at the counter was pleasant and wait time was reasonable. I think I stopped at the perfect time because there weren't many people ahead of me. However, by the time I finished my serving a full line had formed. If I was a local, I would definitely be a frequent customer. For those interested in giving them a try, their truck schedule is posted on their website and Instagram!

Rice and beans here are impeccable. I ordered to go and everything tasted as if I went in and sat down.

Spoiler alert. We were not let down. We started with the grilled octopus, which was excellent, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The catch of the day ceviche was fresh and bright, exactly what you want. For my entree I had the lomo saltado with beef, and the flavors were excellent across the board, that classic Peruvian stir fry hitting all the right notes. The sauce alone was worthy of a take home box. On the drink side, the pisco martini was a great pairing with the meal and a fun way to lean into the Peruvian specialties. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, which made the whole evening feel like an occasion rather than just dinner out. Parking was easy with a private lot right behind the restaurant. This one is a great addition to the East Nashville food scene and well worth the visit.

It was mother's day and they were very busy- so booking a table on Open Table was the right move. I love Lomo Saltado, Ceviche, Chaufa- but this time I decided to try something new and got Aji de Gallina. I love the flavor of aji amarillo and the flavor & taste were perfect. It was so delicious. It was served in a big plate and I had to save the half of it for later. Pricing on menu is slightly more than I usually spend for lunch, but here I thought it was worth every dollar! Quality and taste delivered. Last but not least, our server was wonderful! She was attentive, friendly and spoke to us in Spanish and English. What a gem in East Nashville. If you have not tried Peruvian cuisine, you just have to try it here!

My partner and I visited on a Friday evening around 7:30pm and it wasn't overly crowded (it was also raining...so take that into account). I ordered a pork/cheese pupusa along with a carne asada baleadas. The Pupusa was served with all the typical staples: slaw in a HUGE container and the hot sauces. They came out hot and fresh with the perfect blend of soft, flavorful inside and crisp exterior. This was my first time trying baleada, a popular El Salvadorian comfort food. It was very satisfying and quite large: a soft flour tortilla with refried beans, eggs, and meat. The star of the show (aside from the Pupusa) was the beef tacos. These were flavor bombs with a nice char on the meat. Will order again. The staff was friendly and their offer their menu in Spanish and English. The kitchen is open, and you can see the staff working hard on your meal after you order. This is now added to my list of staples in Nashville. Looking forward to being a frequent visitor.

You can have some great food, cider and even hang and play some board or card games. Everyone is super nice and welcoming both at Cyanide and Birria Babe. The food was great. We tried the Birria Trio (chicken, beef, lamb) tacos. All were great but the lamb was my favorite. It's a little more fatty ans softer. The beef and chicken were great as well. We also tried the Birria Ramen which i thought was great. They provide a good amount of beef and the broth is rich and flavorful. The pizza was bit too cheesy for me but I love trying new things so Im glad I did. We were told that they experiment and rotate different fun birra specials often. The salsas are all great. I like the spicy which has strong garlic and very unique flavor to it. The avocado salsa also stood out, almost a guac like flavor. All sauces were very unique and amazing. The cashier was super nice and we spent some time talking to the owner, drinking cider and hanging and pigging out. An afternoon well accomplished...
