Do NOT go here! This place does not even deserve one star. This place is basically a lot with cars on display because the staff makes no effort to make any sales. We were here on two separate occasions - on a Saturday, and on a Monday. On our first visit, throughout our whole visit, not one employee approached us to see if we needed any help. Finally, we approached an employee to inquire about a vehicle, and we were basically denied any assistance unless we scheduled an appointment. On our next visit, we scheduled an appointment beforehand to obtain a purchase order for that same vehicle. The appointment was scheduled for 5:20 pm. However, we waited for almost an HOUR until we received "help"! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. What was the point of making an appointment?! This "dealership" just lost a quick and easy sale. Just purchased a 2011 e250 cargo van from Frank, he was the best worked very close with me on this purchase, very helpful, professorial, and not at all like the stereo cheesy used car sales people at used car lots. The total time to purchase the van was very fast, the hole crew at Emmons Motor's were great. I wasted my time walking in here. Came to buy a truck I saw online and I had to wait to be seen by someone. Then I was given the keys to the truck told to start it up and "play with the buttons." (REALLY!!) Salesman left me inside the truck by myself and was nowhere to be found. Went inside and gave the keys to some guy sitting in an office told him nevermind. If you love having your time wasted, by all means shop at Emmons. My wife and I stopped by and saw a car we liked and made inquires. After some going back and forth we were approved for the car we wanted, I go back home to get the cash for the down payment and after fighting rush hour traffic there and back I am told that someone had secured the vehicle earlier with a deposit. Five hours wasted on a day when I had other things to do! There are a million dealers in Houston, you are better off going elsewhere, IMHO. Since I couldn't find where to respond to the manager's comment I will do it here as an addendum. If your company feels that giving me the opportunity to buy your car after the rug was yanked from under us is your way of making it right for wasting 5 hours of my time then that says it all right there. Maybe asking for a lower price was something business wise you could not do, I understand that but Emmons did nothing other than say, "hey the car is available now" shows that to Emmons the bottom line is the bottom line and that we the public should be lucky to be able to buy from them,that sir is an arrogance that I cannot abide! i didn't have a problem with my salesman "Britt" was fantastic!!! unfortunately he only relays the information that the finance guys generally relays to him. I've purchased at least five vehicles in my lifetime and i know all to well how the process works especially when it pertains to the gap insurance. when my salesman after my inquiry about the gap refund came and relayed the information that chris told him to tell us, i knew it was not the truth "been there done that" but i went with it while shaking my head at the same time. this was my second purchase with emmons and the dealership itself is fantastic but where the problem lies is with finance. please stop deceiving or trying to deceive your customers it's bad for business. there's a saying don't let one apple spoil the whole batch but when you entrust people who are supposed to be held to higher standards and they lie to you not only do you throw away the rotten apple but you tend to think that the whole bag should be discarded as well. chris do better, that's if it's possible for you to do so. read more

Follow up - received call this a.m. from Finance Manager at Emmons, he said they read my review and are refunding my money. I checked my account and money has been returned - kudos to them for correcting a bad situation. wouldn't ever buy a vehicle from this dealer. I was effected by Hurricane Harvey - lost both my vehicles, all my personal belongings, and my home. I was provided assistance from FEMA to aid me and my family get back on our feet. I used part of the money to hold a vehicle while my credit union approved it. Unfortunately the credit union wouldn't approve because their retail value price was too high. They refused to budge on the price. I was told that they would refund my money. Now I've been given the runaway. They are trying to keep my money that was granted to me by FEMA to assist me during this devastating time!!! they are crooks!!! I would not recommend anyone buy from them. Employee disregarded what I said because I'm a female and assumed I didn't know what I was talking about which resulted in my time being wasted. I purchased my car in February from Emmons Autoplex along with my extended warranty. I have recently had some issues with my ac blowing hot air, which is a big issue in with this humid/hot weather in Houston. I looked through my manual and noticed that my car does not use the typical 134a freon. It actually uses 1234yf. A more expensive kind that is better for the environment; it requires different equipment and scope of skill. This guy (Matt maybe) walks up to me and I explain to him that my car uses this more complex freon, and that I would have otherwise just put the freon in myself. He doesn't take what im saying seriously kinda ignores me and says that he has to diagnose it first to see whats wrong. This guy tells me I have to wait a whole hour and a half to get it diagnosed which I say is fine...when you assume they know what they are doing. Story's short I end up waiting around 30-40 min not including the 15-20 min I waited for him to even come out and get my car. He comes out and whats does this man tell me??....we don't have the equipment to diagnose this vehicle..looks like this car uses a different freon which uses different equipment..try the Honda dealership... I value my time. Do you?? I also expect to be heard. I'm sure If I was male he would have taken what I had to say more seriously. When I get off work the last thing I want to do is waste an hr of my day for nothing to even be accomplished. I was hungry and tired, there weren't even and vending machines with snacks. I would have been ok with waiting if something got accomplished but it was a complete waste of my time and theirs. Bought a Jeep from them in March. Engine light was on when I test drove it but they assured me it was just a lose gas cap. Drove it home, engine light came back on the next day. Took it in and they 'fixed it' , well light came back on a couple of days later. This time they gave me a loaner and kept it for a few days, then they finally 'fixed it' again. Took it home and was good for about a week, then I went abroad and the Jeep was parked in my garage for 10 days. On my return home I drove it for a day and the light came back on! I called them and Brett asked me if I had bought the extended guarantee, which I had not, and promised to call me back on Monday. I knew he wouldn't so I took it to the Jeep dealership. They still can't figure out what's wrong with it. At this point I feel they sold me a useless car and since I didn't buy their guarantee I'm stuck with a very expensive undriveable vehicle. Since March I haven't had a reliable. I regret going to Emmons. read more

UPDATE: Gary Emmons - Thank you for your response; it is a relief that someone at your company can understand the importance of keeping personal information secure, and I appreciate the gesture. My issue was with the DL number and the signature; you do not need a SSN to open a bank account and it is surprising your staff takes pictures of purchasers after sale. I opted out of the picture, but it is innocent gestures like this that could lead to information leaks; someone could take this data and picture (which I can only assume your company uses for promotion online) and use this for malicious purposes. Again my issue is with the practice (I understand car salesmen are human too and can mistake a phone number). I'm sure you feel it is a convenience for the salesman to send the information to the purchaser; my salesman tried to send me the total I needed to return with the next day but did not need to send the picture of my information. I contacted the person your salesman sent the info to and she assured me that she would delete the information, but once information is out there, there is no guarantee that it is taken down, so it is possible that I will have issues because of this for the rest of my life. My complaint about wait time has to do with actually waiting after I had told the salesmen what time I would return the next day and the day of. I scheduled time to see a representative, hoping that they would have prepared paperwork before I came in, but was asked to wait so they could print the pages for me to sign, (which I feel took long based on the amount of people were in your business while I was there). Since I had come in the day before to take care of most of the work, I assumed that I could come in, hand in the check, sign the paperwork, and be on my way. I have had much faster service at another highly rated used car company on a Saturday and I was surprised it took so long at your reputable business. Again, I really appreciate your attentiveness and I am sorry that it took an online post and review of your business to get a serious response. I would be happy to talk about possible solutions to this issue and to help prevent it in the future; I'm sure you can get my information from your salesman or a public data site. read more

Emmons Autoplex is a sham. They tell you one thing and when it's actually time to speak with a finance manager, they add additional prices and, since they're non-haggling, they do not negotiate. They tell you you can save the car with a $500 deposit and verbally give you the interest rate and price you desire, have you fill Out allllll the tedious paperwork and then when you present the same bs information to the finance office, they act like you made it up and pulled the numbers out of a hat when in actuality that's the number the dealer sold you on. In my experience, Troy buttered both me and my dad up; although we were financing through amici, they told us we could finance through JSC or whatever crappy loan place that and that they could guarantee a better interest rate. Then to make sure, they called the finance manager to "finalize" but the gag is they put a different, cheaper car in the system, get those rates, sell you a pipe dream and let you walk off the lot with your dream car, only to come back the next day to speak with a different finance manager, let him tell you they "made a mistake" and give you the actual price. Totally a waste of time and possibly $500. Not sure if they're going to take that money since they said if you don't buy it, your "refundable $500" will not be refunded if you don't buy the car. Gary, don't even respond because all your responses have been bull crap. I will be telling everyone about your sorry excuse for a business. read more

We just purchased a used car from them on Friday. So far my experience has been great. They seem to specialize in low mileage very clean vehicles. We found a few discrepancies after the sale and they are taking care of them with no pushback. I would have no reservation doing business with them again in the future. I like the car I bought, but the service was pretty bad. When I showed up for my appointment to see the Nissan Leaf they were selling, my salesman Josh didn't know anything about electric cars and didn't seem like he cared to learn. Then after I bought the car I decided to cancel my warranty because Marcus (the warranty salesman) assured me it was super easy to void, and it was better to get and cancel it than to not get it and need it. 30 DAYS after canceling the warranty (and what felt like a million phone calls I had to make) I finally have my refund check. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt but Jesus H Christ I've had the worst experience I have ever ever had. I purchased a car back in September of 2018. I spent 4-5 hours there in total. When I was finally approved no one went over my payments at all. Just a "sign here". Anyways after that hell around a month after I got the car I noticed it began shaking whenever I applied brakes. Took it to a mechanic and he said the brake pads and rotors were shot and weren't changed for months! Shortly after that my tires were low on air. Took it to the shop again and was told I needed NEW TIRES because there were patches over existing patches. But wait! There's more! Also when I first got it I noticed 2 small cracks on the windshield and took it to safelite since my insurance covers it. The technician there told me whoever previously repaired BOTH of the chips did a terrible job. Thus the cracks would remain visible unless I replaced the entire windshield. And last but not least as of January 2019 as I was driving my car it completely shut down. Everything. Electronics, power steering, traction control etc etc. Well turns out I had an incomplete alternator recall that was never taken care of. Had to have it towed to a nearby dealership ($200) and get it fixed. While the recall was free of charge my battery was fried so had to buy a new one ($230). Every single one of these problems could have been avoided if Emmons just looked over the car like us as customers expect. But instead they did not and in turn I've had to deal with headaches,stress and tossing out money. If I could go back in time and never have done business here I 100% would. I will never return to this dealership or recommend it to anyone E-V-E-R. I have never wrote a review this long but it is to warn anyone else from making the same mistake I did! Also on goggle I placed this exact same review and the owner basically picked out everything I said and called me a liar. Stay away!! EDIT::: Gary you can try to do run arounds and make me look like I have no idea what I'm saying. Yes I was contacted but I did not respond because at that point I was fed up and was frankly not going to be driving 40+ minutes out to be paying for a mistake that was not mine. If it would have been heavily discounted or free of charge then of course. But knocking $40 off did not warrant me driving out or responding to you. I also actually did speak to you, Wayne and I scheduled to bring my car in with Kameron on a Monday but had to cancel via email because the car was in no state to drive. I also have a copy of the email and call conversations if you would like them Gary, since apparently I'm talking out of my ass right? When I spoke with you actually you rushed me off the phone. As for the recall it was sent out in Feb 18, 2018 and actually WAS on the car fax I received at the time of purchase but silly me put my trust in your dealership that everything would have been squared away. I also have a copy of that car fax with the recall if you would like it as well. My review was not put here to argue with you over the internet it was put as a warning from others to not put trust like I did. And the fact that you sat there and typed a reply to argue every single thing I said shows how much you care about customer service. I purchased a 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP from Emmons Motorsports. I live in Vancouver WA. It is always a challenge when you purchase a big ticket item from a place you find online. Purchasing a car is even more so. I was able to work with Frank Aceves at Emmons Motorspots. He was very professional and was able to help me every step of the way including financing, car fax information, and answering general questions about the car. Now, keep in mind I cannot do a test drive myself, so I had to trust what was being said and the pictures that were provided. I am happy to say the car arrived as described and Franks honest option of the condition of the car was accurate. The most nervous thing about this process was sending a cashier check for $2,000.00 for the down payment. What if they say it never arrive, or took advantage of this situation? That bad scenario never came to light as they were clear they received it, and clear on all paperwork that was needed. They even helped when the car was being loaded on the truck that I ordered which would take it from Texas to Washington state. Though I've not been motivated to come up with a review for anything previously, I decided Emmons Motor Company was deserving of an after-the-fact summary of my experience. It is now 2/15/2017, I initially contacted Justin at Emmons Motor Company via E-Mail/Cars.com on 2/4/2017 stating I was seriously interested in looking at now my 2009 Cadillac CTS-V, however, am located near St. Louis, MO. After a short discussion, I had decided to lock in the car with a deposit, so I had time to figure out my financing as well as travel. Not only did Justin & Emmons work with the extended period of time that I needed to take to sort out my side of things, but, they helped arrange a driver to pick me up from Houston Hobby Airport in order to get me to the dealership without headache. The facility and staff from the driver, to the porters, salesman, and even the GM, all were top notch and shared comradery with me whilst I took my time checking out the car and evaluating my decision. Fast forward to today, my I still view this as a positive experience from start to finish, most of which I can award to the help of Emmons Motor Company. It was very much worth my travels, and, I hope this encourages others to go out there and get what strikes your fancy, even if it seems far away. They want things to work out for you, too. BEWARE of "we owe" work promised and good faith with this dealership. They said after we called them out on not finishing the repairs; and I quote: "we try our best to attempt to make things right." But they never had intentions to make things right. Ya either make things right or ya don't. They got real good at playing a game of semantics when the repairs were not actually done. The technician knew less about alignment than my spouse and we were told they had balanced the tires which was also not done. I gave them 2 chances to make this right. And they disappointed. AND lied! If you want to be treated ethically and know the car you drive off the lot is safe for your family, this IS NOT the place. Pros: Excellent selection of desirable vehicles, rank-and-file sales people and admin staff were friendly and courteous. Cons: It's in Pasadena..regardless of how you feel about the community, I wouldn't recommend leaving your vehicle purchase off of their lot in the area left alone. They only finance through JPMChase, Wells Fargo, and JSC CU. Prices are non-negotiable, which isn't exactly a buyer-friendly policy. Getting there during normal business hours can be a pain because it's so far from most of Houston. I bought a used Honda there recently and the model I chose was not available anywhere else in Houston. I would not recommend the service contracts. I would go there again for a used vehicle, but would recommend that anyone gets their purchase checked out by another mechanic within Texas law for returns after the purchase, aside from doing the pre-purchase due diligence to make sure you aren't getting ripped off. read more

Horrible customer service at its finest! I found the car lot by browsing the net for a particular car I was in search of and this lot had that car. Called and spoke with a salesman that informed me that the car was still available and he went over the details of the car. I told him I would come in today it will take me about an hour. Drove for an hour I finally get there and go to the customer service desk and ask for the sales rep that I spoke to over the phone. He comes out and greets me. We go back to his office space and I fill out a guest inquiry form. He goes to show me the car on the computer and I told him I already seen the car from my computer I am here to see it in person. He goes to check on the location of the car. When he finally comes back he informs me that the car has a deposit hold on it that was made this morning around 10am and said he would call if that deal didn't fall through. But let's not forget I called an hour or so before arriving that afternoon which is around 3:30pm so If he knew it had a deposit hold on the car from this morning why not say anything. ‍ So much for my time and gas money making that hour long trip. read more
