Legends has extremely competitive pricing (Games Workshop stuff usually 20% off!) and a very nice selection of board games, comic books, cards, minatures, and geeky merch (I definitely picked up a Rainbow Dash mug on my last visit here.) If they don't have something that you have your eye on, you can connect with them to see if they will order it for you (which they likely will, if they can!) Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. Customer service here is quite friendly. I'd HIGHLY reccomend checking out Legends if you are in/around the Vaughan area to get your geek on :).

It's like Walmart lol you go in for one thing and leave with 10. There's a pretty good selection of board games, both popular and obscure. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll gladly order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. The guys who work there are all very nice and very knowledgeable. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.

Finally a nerd store that gets it!…read more I've never been to X Planet prior to Thursday. I've recently come across some free time, and was looking for painting supplies as opposed to models as I have lots of unpainted guys. I cannot recall the name of the fellow working there who introduced himself to me. Sorry. We even had a 10 minute conversation, and I can't recall his name. The store seems to be modelled after a GW layout, with lots of gaming tables in the front with full scenery to get your attention Having been to a number of comic book stores that morphed into gaming stores it was so refeshing to walk into a non-GW gaming store that was clean, uncluttered and did not smell. They had a small RPG section in the store, but that's not the crux of their business. There's a tonne of Privateer Press and GW product in the store. They even had Warhammer Fantasy Battalion boxes in store. My wallet started to drool. Anyways off to the painting stuff which was why I was there. They had Vallejo Game, and Model, and the airbrush versions too. I believe that there was GW paint as well. They had a couple of the bigger Vallejo paint sets (the $300+ ones) but I wish that they had the 8 and 16 bottle sets They also carry Citadel Paint Really liked the store. I'll definitely come back in the future. Plus its closer to my house than the two that I recently reviewed in Brampton.

It's located in Richmond Hill in the business/warehouse district off a windy road called West Beaver Creek. The address is easy to find, lots of free plaza parking, it's next to a kids dance studio and very visible store sign. Nothing sus like another yelper stated. Inside is very spacious, clean and bright. I love how organised the shelving for new games were laid out and they even more games in back. Off the walk in, I was greeted immediately and four employees were excited to help me. They are game experts and could name off suggestions for games quickly, to pair with similar games I had in mind. Super fun to nerd off in the board game world here! I always cross reference with boardgamegeek.com first when planning to new purchases, but asked them in person to see if opinions lined up. I was impressed one employee was quick to suggest ones I never heard of. Prices are good to fair. I felt no pressure to buy anything there, they even offered if I wanted to test ones that they have opened or to get a feel of the pieces(card game quality for kid durability is real). I left with buying three games I had eyed online, and excited for the suggestions for the next visit. They have a free loyalty program, can't hurt to sign up when you're a board game investor, as this is one place to bookmark. No food or cafe noticed here, unlike other board game places. Maybe one day as they are still new.

I saw graphic t-shirts on sale. What stopped me in my tracks were a ton of plushies. It has a good selection of Squishmallows. If you love Funko Pop figurines, you will find a wall full of them and more. It was impressive. I spent a good chunk of time checking them out. I particularly loved the R2-D2 and C-3PO ones. I was delighted to find Grogu Funko Pops. One was a keychain, which I had to purchase. The other was a larger one by the checkout area, on the top left shelf. It looked amazing. I'm sure it costs and arm and a leg. The man at the checkout was friendly and chatty. I signed up for the newsletter. I'm still waiting to see what that's like. There's supposed to be a rewards system coming up. Nice! My Grogu keychain didn't have any tax on it. Sweet! I love it. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. It was such a small item that I put it in my pocket. I thanked the man and left the store and mall, walking a while to get to my car. I will return to this store. I'd like to get the R2-D2 and Grogu Funko Pop figures. (48)

It's more of a place where you're not looking for any specifics and more of "oh I think they would enjoy this". I was told before coming here that they have a good selection of books. That I can agree on. Tons of board books for my one year old niece, all priced very fairly. Most were under $5. I got one book for $2.75 and another for $2.50. Both books retail for $8-$9. They even have a section for French books. My boyfriend came in looking for some toys for his nephews. They have a ton of minion things. Oh and a huge section for Thomas the Tank Engine. He left with 3 red bags of toys, books and puzzles. They have a TON of puzzles. He picked up 4-5 licensed character puzzles (Mickey Mouse, Cars, Minions). They have a good "art aisle", which has everything you could possibly need. Paint, crayons, markers etc. There are Crayola brand items. There is a "boy aisle" that has Thomas the Tank Engine, some Lego, remote control cars, Hot Wheels and other toys. I'm pretty much listing off what I can remember. They obviously have a "girl aisle" but I cannot remember a single thing in that aisle, as we didn't spend much time there. Then they have a "baby aisle" which has some Fisher Price toys, some clothes and bibs and stuff. Like I said, they have an okay selection of toys if you're not picky. In addition, not ALL prices are deals but most are, I guess. They had some remote control cars for $12, which I thought were kind of expensive, as they were small dinky cars. However, as mentioned previously, books are a great deal here.

My son wanted a special HotWheel playset for Christmas however I could only find it in the USA. So I went online and purchased it from JC Penny and had it shipped all costing me about $90. 2 weeks after my brother in law told me about Samko. I went into this warehouse not sure what to expect however I realized that the same items they have in store are probably 50% cheaper here. I found the same Hotwheels playset for $29.99. They have Transformers that I had purchased at Walmart for $20 at a very good price of $9.99. Other then the fact you dont get a shopping cart and that you are inside a warehouse the prices are very good. However most of the items were books. Before you go to Walmart go here and check it out. Good deals.
