The Spa At Norwich Inn - Pool was refreshing after the heat of the sauna, steam room and hot tub!

My mom and I just got back from a wonderful weekend at the spa celebrating her birthday. We stayed…read moreone night at the Inn, enjoyed massages and the spa facilities, and ate at both Kensington's restaurant and the pub (in our white bathrobes mostly, ha!). We also did the afternoon tea, which was absolutely lovely and a good value. Our hotel room was clean, comfy, modern, and spacious. The spa facilities were also extremely clean and well kept, with the ladies locker room stocked with everything you could ever need. Every staff person we dealt with from the hotel to the restaurants to the spa was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the hot tub/sauna/steam room area.. yes, it was crowded a few times but I noticed that crowds in both the pool and hot tub areas tended to clear quickly and several times I had both to myself! I especially appreciated the thoughtful little touches everywhere, like cold washcloths available for post-sauna cooldowns and fresh flowers all over the place. The vibe was extremely relaxed and I appreciated that when staying in the hotel you get full use of the spa facilities even on check-out day. We had breakfast and lunch at Kensington's and also had the afternoon tea. Everything was delicious!! Good cocktails too. I wished the indoor pool had been larger to better accommodate busy times, and the spa treatments are definitely on the pricey side, but those are about the only two criticisms I can come up with about this place! We are hoping to make it an annual tradition!

In terms of the facilities, I feel like more upgrades can be presented in terms of a complementary snowball other than just fruit maybe some granola or some nuts or dried fruit would be a wonderful addition. And I see the $22 fee to enter. The spa should be calculated within the price for the actual service. Because on top of that we are paying 20% I would rather be $22 go to Andres.

The entire staff is always so nice. Lexi and Leah has taken care of us twice. And this time I met Rachel which was just as nice. Last time I worked with Janelle and had a few issues that she managed to help me joggle. I have always come in a group of 3-6. We have gotten facials and massages and all has been extremely satisfied with service. In addition we have used full facilities and have been pleased that everything is cleaned and working. I recommend that if anyone makes reservations to plan to stay the entire day and have some lunch at Fresh Salt restaurant. Is the best spa day ever. I didn't take any pictures because there were customers around. But feel free to go online and there's plenty of pictures.

There's a lovely relaxation room with tea and snacks. My massage was wonderful, as was my friend's massage. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, and we were able to eat lunch there in our robes (though we were a few of the only ones). The bad: The amenities in the shared space with resort guests meant more of a hotel pool with a small sauna and steam room. Didn't feel as though the facial or the pedicure was worth the cost. The ugly: The spa was supposed to be open for another hour after our last service ended, but they decided to close early and kick us out into the pool locker rooms. These were crowded and not nearly as nice as the spa locker room. Very unhappy way to end a relaxing spa day. Super disappointed that they just decided to close early on us. "Please leave now, but give us lots of money before you go." Yikes!

Very randomly put together furniture pieces, ants in the room (came back to see my coffee cup from breakfast swarming in ants), and no refills on the soap which still come in the little bottles. Our room didn't even come with a Do Not Disturb sign. Also our windows had dew all over them and obviously had not been cleaned for awhile so we could not get a clear view outside. Housekeeping did a great job, though, and the shower got hot and had good pressure. No racks for your towel in the bathroom, though, so we had to hang on the shower door. Our mattress was nice a medium firm, I think we had to upgrade for it but it was worth it. Front desk was okay, not very friendly. When we left, the person at the front didn't say a word to us or ask how our stay was. Parking lot was frequently full with event guests, at least it's free. But bonus was there are fireflies! As an event venue, it was nice but the wifi caused issues with the photo booth which kept having to be reset because it wouldn't connect to the printer. Also the speakeasy room was obviously not very well kept, we even were treated to a millipede or a centipede crawling on the wall behind the guests as they sat on the sofa. For the amount guests pay, I think they deserve better.

When looking at reviews online, it flooded six months ago and did not appear to have been handled. Only two out of our six room outlets worked. And they did not provide amenities to their customers. After arguing with the main desk we were moved one level up. Other than that, the scenery was well taken care of, and all though the pool closed early it was well maintained.
