    Melanie is an absolute GEM of an agent. We worked with Melanie as first time buyers. She didn't…read moresimply guide us through the process (which, I'll add, she did so wonderfully), but she really cared about finding the exact right fit for us. She never pushed us to make a decision too quickly, tried to convince us that we needed something more expensive than our range, or tried to brush away our concerns in favor of trying to close a deal. In fact, Melanie's knowledge and attention to detail caught red flags in properties that we never would have known to look for, saving us wasted time or even major headaches had we moved forward with those properties! Melanie is extremely detail-oriented and frequently was reaching out with properties she thought were a good fit (and they genuinely were properties that met our specific requirements -- not some general email blast). She is also extremely responsive and very fast at setting up showings, which is so crucial in such a fast-paced market. When we finally found "the one", Melanie worked tirelessly to make sure we closed quickly and on time. She even helped us negotiate with the seller after the inspection to put some money back in our pockets. She really didn't have to do that, as she knew the deal was going to go through regardless. But she genuinely went above and beyond what she had to do, and for that we are so grateful. In fact, we raved about Melanie so much that the owner of the condo we were renting hired her to sell the condo after we moved out (it closed in less than two months!!)

Selling a home is extremely stressful. In my case, I was living in a different state and cleaning out the home on weekends and vacations. Jack's extensive network of vendors were reliable and delivered quality results, helping me with the final touches needed to get the house ready to sell.     I rented with ECP for the school year, and it was a wonderful experience. My roommate and I often…read morejoke that we will never have management this responsive and helpful again -- they've fielded all of our questions and requests by next day! One of my blinds broke one morning, and I had a new one delivered to the door of my unit within 1-2 business days (I installed it myself due to COVID). Our unit has also been really well maintained -- the walls are relatively thick from room to room, and between floors. I also really appreciate that the exterminator comes once a month, which has offered a lot of peace of mind. The only thing that would be nice is if we could sell furniture to the next tenants and leave furniture for them in the apartment -- ECP does require you to move everything out between leases so that they can deep clean the apartment and the floors, which is wonderful, but it's the only thing I would want to change about my experience, and not a big deal in the larger scheme of things. Not having to worry about a landlord trying to nickel and dime me, or not responding to maintenance requests has been great.Overall, it's been a delight renting with ECP!

They have always been pretty pleasant to me, came whenever I needed anything fixed, no problems, and returned my security deposit after I moved out without incident (less a $100 cleaning fee, but to be honest, I deserved that).

    Who would ever be dumb enough to buy one of these apartments. Yeah the actual list price is the…read morelowest in town by a long shot. But why would you ever want to live in a place where I went by just to check it out and it was like walking through a retirement home. There are basically 1,000 rules. HOA fees vary based on the bedrooms. Parking is an additional cost despite your HOA fees alone for a 1 bedroom 750 square foot apartment (these aren't condos) is about $1,100 a month. That is equivalent to a mortgage payment alone of purchasing a $230,000 3 bedroom+ house. Then if you're looking for even a 2 bedroom place. Just take a look at the numbers. The nicest one on the market is a 3 bedroom/2 bath for $130K with HOAs at $1,800 a month. That is equivalent to a $2,600 TOTAL payment mortgage+HOA+insurance+taxes & $2 per month per square foot. You could get a $350K house and pay about the same per month. Not to mention, New Haven isn't a Boston or New York or LA or San Francisco where living in the heart of Downtown with a balcony is that amazing of an idea. Not to mention if you're on one of the higher floors it will take you 3-5 minutes just to get to the lobby.

Unbelievably rude!!. There is a board of directors who rule. And make up rules that as a renter you don't even know about. And this is a shout out to " Mister Black Cowboy Boots" you're a spineless hide behind your wife tattletale and you know who you are!! That's another problem here tattletales. There is no freedom in this building people watch each other and the guards can be very rude because they have carte blanche over everything! You don't want to live here it's not worth it financially or in any other way! It's an old building with old crappy rugs in the hallways and is very difficult to get hot water and any maintenance done. Forget about living here I don't recommend it
