    Be very careful if you're doing business with Tricia Cyr-Carrier. She pretends to be a seller's…read morebest bet ever until a buyer comes along. Then she's ALL ABOUT THE BUYER and will forget who she is really working for. She will lie to you to get whatever the buyer wants. She'll do anything to make that sale happen once she gets the scent of money. She allowed an unauthorized person into my home and lied about it, not knowing that I had my security equipment activated because she began acting strange. So I SAW what she allowed to happen in my absence. I only wish that I had gotten that gut feeling about her sooner!! Who knows what else went on before. She allowed the buyer's people to setup unauthorized tests without consulting me first, my personal property (not included with the sale) was tampered with and nearly caused me bodily harm. But the worst thing she did was NOT secure my home before she left on inspection day!! Windows were left unlocked and ANYONE could have entered before I returned or even while I was home. DO NOT TRUST this person, especially when she's got money in her sights. Someone that leaves a person's home unsecured is not someone that I will EVER trust or ever recommend, not even to my WORST enemy!

In a short period of time after our home went on the market, Gene was able to get us two offers during the home selling process. He offered great insight on the local market and provided above and beyond customer service as we had to relocate (with all of our home's contents) prior to putting our home on the market. Not only did Gene fulfill his duties as a realtor with paperwork, showings, and communications he made the process seamless for us who were out of state and needed to sell our home. He assisted with identifying contractors for any work that needed to be done and would also let them into the home as needed. He kept us apprised of the status of our home sale from the beginning to the end and truly put us at ease, despite the sometimes long process of closing. I work in healthcare where we pride on customer service and the WOW experience. This was certainly a WOW experience in every respect for us. It was important for my husband and I to have an agent who understands our objectives and tries to work within the limitations that we may face in a difficult seller market. I have worked with other agents and can honestly say I did not have a positive experience. Gene was easy to reach, always accessible, knowledgeable and had a true commitment to helping us meet our objectives as an out of state home seller. The customer service was not just good, it was EXCEPTIONAL. I was recommended by a colleague at my former employer, and I feel that I should send him a gift just for referring such a true professional! It was sad to see the other reviews here for other agents, but check out Gene Pica, you will not be disappointed.

    My wife and I first met Greg in 2012. We had owned a small cottage in Groton Long Point and the 600…read moresq ft living area was getting too small to accommodate our summer visitors (too many sleeping bags to trip over in the morning!). By chance we ended up visiting a new build being shown by Greg and Brom Builders. Greg listened to our 'small house, small budget' dilemma. During that first interaction he without question assured us, that even though our budget was limited we could achieve a dream house. In a couple of days he took my 3 Post-It notes of the house I wanted to build, and voila! He created external and internal views on paper and by way of digital video, a complete walk-through. I was hooked. 10 months later we moved in ... we had so much fun, Greg & Brom were so much fun to work with and everyday was like Christmas, we would walk the 20 yards to our new construction (we rented another cottage right across the street and just gasped at the progress each day, admittedly I always took the evening tour with a glass of red wine so was always happy!). Now the reason I tell this story ... Greg is not just a realtor, he lives and breathes housing and construction, his enthusiasm and passion are inspirational. He knows building code inside out and can instantly tell you right from wrong. We have kept in touch with Greg throughout the years and shared a few chases on property over the period. Our latest was just a few months back where we secured our second home ... Greg freely admitted that this was his quickest purchase ever People ask me, "How can you be friends with a realtor?" ... quite easily ...     On February 2023 I submitted an inquiry at Realtor.com looking for information on a property at a…read morebuilding in Mystic, CT. Within minutes a young lady from Garden Realty was calling looking to find out additional details on our wants and needs. A few minutes later that day, I received an email from Greg Hanner with additional information on the property, the area and an introductory video of himself, his realty company and services. Later that evening, Greg called me to introduce himself already informed on the details from my conversation with his assistant. He shared his background and extensive experience on the southeastern part of CT (2022 and now for 2023 the #1 Agent of the Year for CT New London County). I told him that we were early in our search and that we weren't even sure if we were ready to buy any properties. However, if we found the right place at the right price, we would consider it. Greg was very professional and pleasant, and even with this low-level interest, he was willing to assist us in our search. Over the next few days, he shared a series of property options, his own personal experiences with other buyers, and scheduled a viewing on the original property we had inquired on. Over the next few weeks, Greg facilitated several showings, and was present at each one, very engaged, clearly informed and knowledgeable. It was also very apparent that Greg had plenty of experience in the area, as each property we saw hit many of the must-haves we were looking for. He pointed out where a compromise would be necessary along with pros and cons, at times highlighting features we would not have considered. Finally, it seemed as if Greg knew everyone as we connected with the realtors on the seller's side and others. We requested a showing at another unit in the Mystic building we liked. The unit had a renter and getting in for a viewing required some negotiating. Greg made the necessary arrangements and we there we found our dream unit! Greg helped us come up with the best and fairest offer which after some waiting (and back and forth with Greg) was accepted. Greg presented us with a bank for financing with whom he had plenty of experience and who were best suited for the area. Greg scheduled the property inspection with a local home inspection team he had worked with in the past. Greg was there throughout, asking questions, ensuring that we understood where there were areas of opportunity. From the inspection, there were a number of areas where we would need addressed at some point, so Greg negotiated a credit to the purchase price as to not disrupt the tenant to address some cosmetic issues. Overall, our experience with Greg was very positive. His knowledge of the local market, his experience as seasoned realtor, his pleasant demeanor, with and realistic expectations were exactly what we needed. A short few months later, we are happy owners of a beautiful condo unit in downtown Mystic a few minutes away from restaurants, shops and everything Mystic has to offer. Thanks Greg!!
