Awesome little place!…read more Friendly service, well stocked bar and good food right next to Peñasco de Sol Hotel. We found this place by chance and enjoyed our food and drinks at sunset. The outdoor seating and awesome rock music made for a real treat to our evening! The music was loud enough to enjoy but soft enough to allow for conversation and food and drinks arrived on a timely basis. The menu consisted of seafood & tacos mostly but beef was an option too. Because i am vegan, however, they whipped up some veggie lettuce wraps with loads of guacamole! Amazing with a little 7 Mares hot sauce and a cold Tecate Light! Nom nom nom said this vegan! Thank you, Skullyz, for your flexibility and open mind with your menu items. Not everyone will do this for me so I am so grateful that you do! For that, we will be returning so go ahead and add the lettuce wrap option to your tacos and veggie filling to your menu!!! Go onnnn!

The ambience is good, similar to a small Buffalo Wild Wings. The service is excellent. Kudos to Erik and Mario, most lately, who've attended to us most lately. But we stop in mostly for some American/Mexican style food. Skip: The Pizza. It's not tossed here. Nuf Said. Takeout? Always a disappointment. In full disclosure, we only did it once. Maybe's: The Wings. I asked Erick if could get Wings naked with Parmesan. They were plentiful, meaty and liberally coated with Parmesan. I've ordered the same since, and they were good, but not quite the same. I suppose experiences depend on the employees that shift. The Onion Rings: The Rings aren't made in-house. They're frozen, in exact shapes. The Best: The Guacamole Burger is excellent. There's something about Sonoran Beef even when made Medium to Well (not our preference). But the Burger is constructed well with just the right amount of Guac. Arrachera Quesadillas: These Big Flour Tortilla Diamonds are filled with Monterey Jack Cheese and very tender, small cubes of Carne Asada. The Guac Burger and Quesadillas are a sure thing. Btw, the Fries that normally accompany the Burgers are definitely sliced in-house with skins, and are hot and seasoned well We recommend paying tabs with a card or with pesos while the exchange rate is favorable Typically, our food and 2-3 glasses of wine =$US38

Hubby loved the fish tacos so much he got them again. This time I got the fish sandwich & asked for crinkle fires. My fish sandwich was so good. Appetizers: Beet Carpaccio (delicious!) and a ham & cheese empanada. Warm rolls served with three dipping sauces: a marinara, a chimichurri and a white bean. My husband had a huge steak that came out on a sizzling cast iron plate and I had the fish fillet in white sauce. Both were perfection but his steak was the best he has had in YEARS. We took dessert to go: cheesecake and some kind of banana walnut sponge cake. Again, incredible. They do not price their drinks/shots in pesos they will charge you American Dollars. For example, one shot was 7$ which is the norm, and another shot was 12$. Compared to the other bars next door this was the bar that charge the most for shots/drinks. However staff was very nice, and it had a beautiful view of the ocean. They had a DJ, a tattoo parlor inside, swing sets at the bar, pool table and a slide that I heard broke a persons ankle that same day, if you are intoxicated don't go down that slide, but if you're brave, go for it. I've gone down the slide myself but luckily I had a friend at the other end who assisted in my landing lol.

It is probably the stupidest idea ever, but what really matters is that after a couple rounds of "Coconut Water" it will briefly feel like a stroke of genius. Please note that no actual coconuts were harmed in the process of producing "Coconut Water". It's just 3 shots of vanilla vodka, blue curacao, and sprite. Anyway, the diversions don't end with one mere gimmick--the bar seating is made of swings, not seats. The balcony has a dance floor. And there's a billiards table upstairs. Every corner of this spot is designed for some sort of activity, and every drink would violate American liquor laws. This might be the most underrated club in Penasco.
