We were looking for a sports bar with food. This place is a cool building on a hill, and we had high hopes based on the reviews. What we found was a dated restaurant with a couple of TVs and a bar. The service was pretty good. The salsa was amazing. We split the shrimp tacos. They were disappointing. The shrimp were tiny and scarce. We've been going to Rocky Point for over 15 years as a family, sometimes bringing friends with us. The chef at this restaurant is very good! We always have a great meal & great time when we go here. We can always count on football games on TVs. The service is very good too. The owner is very friendly, personable, nice (also an American). You'd think with an American owned restaurant in Mexico, the food was going to be lacking flavor. Well, that changed my mind after a visit here. We had some hiccups with this restaurant, especially with our group being so large, some of us wanted lunch and others wanted breakfast. The restaurant was giving us a hard time about ordering different items from the menu. They said that our whole group had to either order lunch or breakfast. It didn't make sense to us, as our timing for breakfast was still within the allowed time frame, and we even asked them if we could break up our seats if it would be okay to do so, but nope - they wouldn't allow this at all. After speaking with the manager and reasoning with them, they finally allowed us to do so. It just sucked that we had to even start our experience that way. Our food took a while, but we were keeping ourselves entertain, so it didn't really bother us too much. But, if you're just looking for a place to grab a bite and head to town, be cautious of your time here. The chips and salsa were delicious. The chips were freshly made and the salsa had the perfect kick. Also, let me tell you...I had some of the most delicious chile relleno ever at this location! I was delightfully surprised, especially coming from a very touristy spot! Word of advice: Check this place out if you're looking for a place to watch football. There seem to be a ton of football fans here and they have plenty of large screens to watch it on. read more

I'm rating the restaurant, the food and the staff based on what they present to be, not some unrealistic expectations I conjured up in my head based on my own prejudice or bias. ‍ Now that we've established that....this place deserves all 5 stars of this review. I had the BLT, which was JUST as good as the ones my grandmother made me as a child. The sandwich was served with a side of French fries. The fries were hot, fresh and crispy. (Pro tip: ask for ketchup & mayo and combine the two to dip your fries in. Yum) The bacon on the BLT was crispy and plentiful. The tomatoes were ripe and tasted like the ones from our garden. The lettuce was crisp and the bread was toasted to perfection and topped with just the right amount of mayo. I've had BLTs at many places. You wouldn't think it would be that tough to make a good one, but, it really is. Unless you're the folks at Latitude31 who don't skimp or cut corners and the result is - perfection. read more

Hands down best Chile Rellenos and bloody marys in town. Not to mention the bloody mary's are only $3.50 and come with shrimp as a garnish. We ate here after having eaten at koffee house the day before. It is the big yellow building on the hill right next door. I thought the service here was better and there was no wait. The shrimp omelette was delicious and the coffee was better. They have basic options so if you're looking for lattes and fancy pastries this isn't your spot. They take credit cards unlike a lot of local spots and have a gift shop that sells higher quality local gifts than you'll find in the street shops. Latitude 31 has just about everything!! It's a great place to catch a televised sporting event, indulge in an adult beverage, if you like, and hanging out for awhile. Bring the kids because they have a fun little play area for children!! And did I mention the HUGE menu offering Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner? They have so many options it's difficult to choose but we've never been disappointed. Today I had Chile Rellenos which did not disappoint . . . hubby had a Jalapeno Cheeseburger, and my sister had bacon, eggs & toast. I also like their chilaquiles because of their homemade red chile sauce which is to die for delicious . . . the green chile sauce is also VERY good! Did I mention they have a gift shop? Their gift shop, which has recently been expanded, offers unique works of Mexican art and custom pieces as well. It's truly something to see. The owners are amazing, kind and attentive, as well as the servers. Our group had a great afternoon watching OU v Iowa State on their big screen TVs. Great sports bar. It is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. The owner is cool and the food is good. Clean and great service with several tvs to enjoy game day. The prices basically follow prices you would pay in the United States which in my opinion is a little high for Mexico... Came here for their Thanksgiving feast. It was excellent. The yams and stuffing was some of the best that I have ever had. Washed it all down with an ice cold DosXX and I'd say that this was a good Thanksgiving meal. I had the Chilaquiles and they were super delicious and better than Kaffe Hauser which we initial went for but the wait was over an hour. The mango margaritas are great too with the spicy rim. Stumbled upon while driving to the Malecon. Decided to give the paradise cheeseburger a try. The green chili gave the burger so much flavor and the dos XX Micheladas were the BEST! I decided to come here since I was on vacation and was looking forward to watching the NBA championship and Stanley cup. They did have the sports that I was looking for and did have a decent atmosphere. Service was good. But my problem with this place was the enchiladas that I ordered were way to dry and didn't taste good. I would have given more stars if I would have had something to rate. Myself and my daughters decided to give this place a try due to good reviews and food menu. We showed up about 7pm and noticed only 2 cars in the parking lot. Seemed odd for the size of the place and the great reviews it received. Figured we would head on in anyways. Went all the way upstairs and saw 2 guys on the top perch area outside. They didn't say a word to us so I wasn't sure if they worked there or not. Went inside and the lights were all off and not a single person inside. Behind the bar was empty too! Stood inside for a couple of minutes looking around. Saw 2 girls through a closed glass door sitting at a table on their phones and talking to one another. Seemed to be workers too but they didn't seem to care much about what was happening inside the restaurant. We decided this isn't where we wanted to be and left. The guys outside saw us and just looked as we left not saying a word. The hours of operation said 8am-10pm so not sure what the deal was. I think I'm going to stay away as it seems they don't care much to notice a customer. read more
