Dining at Garufa Argentinian Steakhouse was an unforgettable experience! The ambiance was cozy and elegant, with a touch of rustic charm that made it feel both upscale and welcoming. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the steak. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The chimichurri sauce added the perfect Argentine touch. We also tried the empanadas, which were flaky and filled with delicious goodness. An order of mash can be shared my favorite is the Cowboy Bone in Ribeye We paid $250 dollars for 3 people. One Tomahawk 2 Cowboys 3 drinks and 3 sides. The service was top-notch, with staff members who were knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. They made us feel like valued guests, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our needs were promptly met. For anyone craving an authentic taste of Argentina, Garufa is the place to be. Highly recommended for steak lovers and anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

We had a mixed experience here. The customer service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and definitely one of the highlights of our visit. However, the food itself was just average, especially considering the price point. For a steakhouse in Mexico, it felt pretty overpriced for what you get. The steaks were decent, cooked between medium and medium well, and definitely large enough to share unless you have a big appetite. My partner and I split a ribeye, two sides, and a bowl of clam chowder--there was still food left over. Speaking of which, the clam chowder was absolutely phenomenal. Rich, flavorful, and definitely something I'd recommend ordering. The other couple with us went with the cheese board, a steak, and fries. Everything was fine, but again, nothing stood out aside from the chowder. Overall, great service, average food, and high prices. Not a bad experience, just not one I'd go out of my way to repeat.

    Great churrasco!

A definite stop when in Rocky Point, Mexico. Excellent service with delicious food. The ambiance was very nice. Even though the place was full, it was not too noisy.

Excellent! Our server, Yaya, was perfection. She was knowledgeable and had great recommendations. The wine list was amazing as well with a variety of regions and varietals. I ended up choosing a Nebbiolo from Mexico that was outstanding. The food was great as well. Both steaks were perfectly cooked and had phenomenal flavor. My one tiny suggestion is to spice up the Caesar salad, it lacked a robust flavor. Anyway, I highly recommend Garufa & Yaya!

Food, ambiance, and service at this steakhouse were all above expectation. Dress is casual. On our last night in Rocky Point we decided to eat here. A good choice. Portions are a little big, but that could just be me. Definitely get your money's worth. I would definitely recommend eating here. Provecho/Bon Appetit

Having just returned from Argentina, I was still craving a delicious South American steak--but luckily, I didn't need to book another plane ticket to find it. Garufa came highly recommended by two different people as the best steakhouse in Puerto Peñasco, and now I'm happy to join that list of glowing endorsements! My family and I visited Rocky Point for a relaxing vacation and were on the hunt for savory steak. A short drive brought us to Garufa, nestled in a charming food center. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere transported me back to Argentina. The aroma of perfectly grilled meat filled the air, and the staff were gracious and welcoming. We each ordered different cuts of steak--mine being the short rib--and every bite was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, juicy, and packed with incredible flavor. The sides and drinks were equally amazing--potatoes, asparagus, spinach dip, and refreshing lemonades rounded out the meal beautifully. While I'd always recommend traveling to Argentina to experience its incredible culture and cuisine firsthand, Garufa is a stellar substitute if you're in Puerto Peñasco. This place is a must-visit, and I'm already planning my next trip back. Highly recommended!

The food and service was Excellent!! Angel was Awesome!! You can tell he cares for his customers whether they are regulars or new comers like we were. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The fire tuna appetizer was to die for. Also every seafood item except for the salmon is locally sourced. The price for the 7 of us was well below what we expected for such a delicious dinner. We will definitely be back.

I had an amazing experience here ! We were able to make reservations in advance and even on a busy holiday weekend the service was fast and friendly. We were immediately seated and shortly after our waiter came to take our order. We were given bread while we waited. The decor was very nice, think upscale steak house with a beautiful wine refrigerator in the center of the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious!! I had gotten the surf & turf dinner & substituted the octopus for an extra serving of shrimp. The steak was cooked to PERFECTION!! The restaurant was very accommodating. The food was very delicious. When I go back to Puerto Penasco, I will definitely be returning here.

The food here was awesome. Had the margarita pizza, steak and shrimp. All were excellent. This is a must try when in Rocky Point sorry all the steak and shrimp were eating.

I loved my dish. It was creamy and the veggies added a touch of refreshment. The mezcalita was probably one of my favorite cocktails I have ever had. It was sweet and still had those smokey elements that are a must from a good mezcal. Our server was super friendly and everything came out quickly! The only reason I am not giving it a higher rating is because even though I enjoyed my dish, my friends were not as fortunate. The restaurant was clearly supposed to be a classy and fancier establishment. The steak was a little flavorless and every other dish was bland and looked stiff. I tried some of my friends dishes and they tried mine and we all agreed that theirs was not up to the same standard. I would return for my dish, but probably not for anything else.

The ambience is good, similar to a small Buffalo Wild Wings. The service is excellent. Kudos to Erik and Mario, most lately, who've attended to us most lately. But we stop in mostly for some American/Mexican style food. Skip: The Pizza. It's not tossed here. Nuf Said. Takeout? Always a disappointment. In full disclosure, we only did it once. Maybe's: The Wings. I asked Erick if could get Wings naked with Parmesan. They were plentiful, meaty and liberally coated with Parmesan. I've ordered the same since, and they were good, but not quite the same. I suppose experiences depend on the employees that shift. The Onion Rings: The Rings aren't made in-house. They're frozen, in exact shapes. The Best: The Guacamole Burger is excellent. There's something about Sonoran Beef even when made Medium to Well (not our preference). But the Burger is constructed well with just the right amount of Guac. Arrachera Quesadillas: These Big Flour Tortilla Diamonds are filled with Monterey Jack Cheese and very tender, small cubes of Carne Asada. The Guac Burger and Quesadillas are a sure thing. Btw, the Fries that normally accompany the Burgers are definitely sliced in-house with skins, and are hot and seasoned well We recommend paying tabs with a card or with pesos while the exchange rate is favorable Typically, our food and 2-3 glasses of wine =$US38

Compared to the other bars next door this was the bar that charge the most for shots/drinks. However staff was very nice, and it had a beautiful view of the ocean. They had a DJ, a tattoo parlor inside, swing sets at the bar, pool table and a slide that I heard broke a persons ankle that same day, if you are intoxicated don't go down that slide, but if you're brave, go for it. Anyway, the diversions don't end with one mere gimmick--the bar seating is made of swings, not seats. The balcony has a dance floor. And there's a billiards table upstairs.
