Delicious! I found this place while out on a walk, and made a note to try it out. When Valentine's Day was coming I bought a pound of chocolates for my wife. I built my own box, and hand-picked the chocolates. They have SO many varieties, all delicious! I was in the area and saw the sign Emil's home made candies and my care just veered off the road and parked itself, LOL Car knew it was definitely time for a sugar fix. Emile's is a smaller size store , But they make all there own candies. I got some apricots pineapple marzipan and fudge, Obviously all were covered only in dark chocolate which is my favorite. The lady behind the counter was extremely friendly and nice and very helpful. The selection they had was good as well. The candy was excellent maybe not the best I have ever had but really good. Only negative was I thought the pricing was a bit high at $25 a pound. read more

Best candy around. I grew up on this candy, and still look forward to Easter because of the chocolate covered marshmallow eggs. My grandparents used to own the building it was in and ran a liquor store across the street, so when we were little, we'd go across the street and get to pick out something from the store when ever we visited. Fast forward forty years...I live in Boston, but I still haven't tasted chocolate as good as this place (and yes, I realize memories probably make me biased). The French Chocolates are decadent and delicious. I love to give them as gifts. I gift a box to myself while I am at it. My parents used to get us the molded Easter bunnies and Thanksgiving turkeys every year. Mom loved the peanut brittle. Dad learned to get an extra box of French Chocolates and hide them for himself.
