This place is amazing!! The staff was kind and caring, and attentive. The facility is so clean!! The Pt/OT team made such an improvement in such a short time. I woukd certainly recommend this place in a heart beat.

About 5 days after he was admitted, I was told by a staff member that the administration and certain staff do not like to have them as patients. This was very concerning to our family. We were paying a huge amount of money to provide him with the care and compassion he should have received. He had IPF and was on 24 hr oxygen. He had two very compassionate and kind nurses aides, a young male Indian or Pakastani and a gal around 50. He had an asian appearing female nurse in maybe her 50's or 60's who was on the afternoon shift. She was uncaring, rude at times belligerent. He had a catheter and was being awakened at 5:00 AM to empty it. I asked if it could be done a little later as he couldn't sleep. She told me "Well I guess we can just not do it at all ". Other times when I was there she administered a nose solution and brutally shoved it up his nose, he at some point didn't want her near him. She did not follow Hospice drug protocol in his medications. Did it how and when she wanted too. My husband several days before he died was bleeding profusely into his catheter bag. I asked for a Dr. to see him and was told it was not possible. At one time when I was there he was having extreme difficulty breathing, we pressed the call button, nobody responded, I went and checked it, it had a huge crimp in it caused by a nurse who had changed it awhile earlier and failed to notice it. I understand that those there for rehab receive excellent care, my husband who was dying did not, except for a few very kind, compassionate staff.

Lots of chicken as the main protein they serve is what my dad says. My mother was supposed to be on a diabetic diet, and we were paying for it, but no one was monitoring, so she ate what she wanted, so i had to ask several times to get the charges for the diet plan removed. They didnt give me a full refund, not sure why, but im ok with it. We are going to get hit with 6% price increase on Jan 1st. not to happy about that since my parents are on a fixed income. The care is good. We pay for my mother to have her medications dispensed and her glucose monitored. Which im glad they do very well. Thats why they had to move, due to my mom not being able to do that herself or my 91 yr old dad, at home. This place has given them the time not to worry about meal prep, home upkeep or having to go get groceries, plus all the things living on your own has. They join in the activities, play cards, interact socially, which has been very important. So overall Brookdale of Monroe is a nice place for them. Just wish it wasn't so expensive, and if they make it past their retirement fund, i will have to move them to a place that takes Medicaid.

They said they called the family but didn't (as if we can't check our phones for missed calls or that they couldn't leave a message). When we got there to visit Mom in the morning we thought she was in the dining room and waited for her to return her room. When she didn't show up I asked receptionist where she was and then she told me she was in the hospital emergency. This is after watching me and 2 sisters (she knew us well) signing in and walking past her that morning to see Mom! Appalling. Sadly there were other terrible things - unclean rooms including an ant infestation (crawling on Mom!). It was not dealt with immediately (I brought ant hotels myself that filled up with hundreds of ants overnight). Also Dad was left unattended (they were supposed to check and attend every few hours due to his incontinence) and was wandering his room in completely full depends - with an established urine trail from his bed to bathroom. The smell was horrendous - it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned for days. And they had to be asked to clean it. Do NOT trust these people with your family members!

Words are not enough to describe what an outstanding compassionate caregiver service Honey…read moreHealthcare provides. From our very first interaction with Isabella Johnson, she was professional, compassionate and understanding of the complexities involved before we even realized it. She and her team, especially Mia and Edith, were sincere and committed to high quality care. They communicated regularly with family and were great with my dad. It felt like they truly cared about us. They were reliable and handled problems with Lacey Post Acute prior to discharge home quickly and with professionalism. I would highly recommend Honey Healthcare to anyone looking for heartfelt dependable and professional care. Amazingly they still keep in contact to check on us. They truly make a difference going through such a stressful time.

He adores her, and so do we. She has a ton of experience with the elderly and it shows. We have had a couple of "fill ins" when we needed more days on occasion, and they were also great workers. Also, whenever I call or text the owner for whatever reason, I get an immediate response. Nobody I have worked with in the past has been this responsive.
