There is another gym staff person there named Ying, she is kind, helpful, and respectful. Sal works Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, SO STAY AWAY ON THOSE DAYS. I am handicapped and he verbally abused me on multiple occasions. The transportation service at the center is incredibly convenient and most of the drivers are excellent, respectful, and kind. After a year with Access,these drivers are a breath of fresh air.

The facility is easy to find, next to the Mill Creek police department. It's clean and the volunteers are pleasant and well versed. I checked out the "love of music" program and found people playing violins, mandolins, bass, guitar and a singer. I might just have to sit in on my C clarinet.

My group has heard her talk negatively about other staff and doesn't care about the seniors at all. She shouldn't be allowed to work with the public at all. Shame on the board for allowing that kind of treatment. I miss the old faces that actually cared about the members and their well being. I worked with Nancy at the SSC and she was really great to work with. Easy to talk to, very professional & quick in responding to all of my endless questions. The reason I gave such low stars for Value & Flexibility is we decided to go with SSC because it was cheaper than other "wedding" venues. However, I underestimated how much we would have to do to get the center ready for our wedding. We had to create our own backdrop & rent a stage, had to bring in garbage bags, chairs, serving platters, etc etc. There seemed to be hidden fees everywhere & things that were assumed to be included that were not included. Yes, they were sort of lined out in the contract, but quite confusingly. They also were NOT flexible on time - i.e. for chair rental, we HAD to be out on the same Saturday we got married on (because they are a community center for the week, not strictly a wedding venue) and could not store the chairs overnight Friday (even though they had nothing that night?!). Also, we had to twist arms & legs just to be able to set up the backdrop on Friday, the rehearsal night. Even though there wasn't anyone in after us and we were to be the first ones to use the center in the morning. Also, the sound system (for a microphone & piano only) really sucked. Playing an iPod through it was great, but not what we needed it for. (I'm a musician so the sound was very important to me!) We were told we could use theirs, but they didn't know enough about it to know that we would need to bring our own to get what we wanted. We found that out on the rehearsal day. That all being said, they do provide a lot for their clients. They allow you some flexibility in how you pay for things (if your clean up ends up going longer, they just charge you for the time you are there, not for an entire hour like some places), they have space for a bride & groom's room, there is AMPLE parking, the building on the outside is quite quaint looking (we loved it), there are MANY photo opportunities around the center, and there are many surrounding vendors within a close distance that helps cut down on delivery costs. Overall, I would recommend this to friends, but I would let them know to make sure to plan for the things I mentioned above.

Really negative experience with irrational and rude front desk clerk today at 3:30pm…read more I will no longer go here. Upon checking in, I was told by a viscerally nasty older woman (severe gray haircut) that my membership expired Dec 31st. It's February 9th. Ok, I'll make a call and handle this. But then this vicious entity refuses to give me my Silver & Fit ID Number because it was no longer valid. She berated me for having picked up a slip of paper off the counter to jot the number down. The number she refused to give me " If you had wanted a piece of scratch paper, I would have given you one. If you had asked! That's an enrollment card'!!" I left a message for a membership director to give me a call. This evening at 8:30, Tanya calls, and attempts to apologize for the front desk clerk. Tanya 'doesn't know' who was working the front desk today. Tanya does provide the expired ID number, which I can use as reference with my health insurance. Puhleeze! No. No thanks. I never will step foot in that legitimately hostile environment again. BTW, I am a person of color.
