Just two of us this time, and the room is small enough that I don't think a full class would be intimidating. The instructor, Dave, is awesome. He's very passionate about it, but he's also very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. More than happy to answer questions and explain everything. Although not hard to get to, the building is set back in the parking lot, so if you don't see the sign at the road, mixed in with other signs, you'll miss it. I drove down 295 for the 6PM class and the traffic was heavy. Give yourself plenty of time and if you're early, there are several fast food places where you can grab some food while you wait. I have no complaints about this class and would highly recommend it to everyone.

In healthcare, we are taught high-skill concepts with fear and anxiety. Not at CPR World. They take the fear and anxiety out and with that you can actually learn the concepts. Just such a great experience. I could take this class for free at work, but I'd rather pay to come here since you actually understand the material. This is my 7th time at CPR World. I've only ever been taught by Suzanne (who is awesome) but this time I had Frank. Education is this guy's true calling. So positive, so upbeat, so encouraging. I actually had a great time.

I booked for a specific date and time and took off of work for this specific date and time. I paid my fees everything was great. The day BEFORE my scheduled class I get a text saying my class is being rescheduled due to LOW REGISTRATION. Mind you the contract states non refundable due to limited seating. Make that make sense. Anyways I needed this cpr class for a job so it was quiet upsetting that my class had to be rescheduled even though i paid for that specific date and time !!! They didn't try to accommodate me knowing I took off work and letting them know that the day they wanted to reschedule wouldn't work either because I had to work. Horrible customer service. I was basically told too bad reschedule or go elsewhere. I had to pay out of pocket AGAIN to find a cpr class who would honor the date and time that I chose. Thankfully they took me after I got off of work and guess what !! I was the only person in the class !!! I paid for a service and they were able to honor that like a good business should even with one person. The low registration thing is bs. If i pay for a service for a time and date i should be able to receive my service !! Long story short i get a lengthy text message saying i will be taken to court because like most ppl would do is ask their bank for their money back for a service they did NOT receive. Why should i have to pay for a service i didnt receive ? Why should i have to pay a rebooking fee for a service i didnt ask to be rebooked ?!?!!?! Its one thing if i reached out and had to rebook but noooo i was told I had to reschedule due to no one registering. So much for "limited seating" LOL clearly you all are just $ hungry and don't care about your customers at all !!! You're in business because of ppl like me who paid for a class for a certain time and day. Most places would've or refunded for the inconvenience on yalls end NOT MINE!

Save Life offers a certification through American Red Cross in a blended class format: online portion in the comfort of your own home and then hands-on on location. I got to say, the online portion was actually kind of fun :) Way better than sitting in a room for hours dozing of. Sam is wonderful. Thorough in his instruction but does it in a fun manner. He offers 1 on 1 (which is what I did), group, business, or in home training. I feel confident that if I needed to, I could safely and effectively perform CPR/AED and first aid. What a great little studio! Patti has been so patient with me, even though I can barely sew a…read morestraight line. I love that no matter whatever I want to make, Patti still encourages me, and seems truly delighted in my meager accomplishments. She is a true teacher, taking time to explain details again and again. She willingly shares details and knowledge from her lifetime of sewing, down to what kind of pin to use, to where to find the least expensive magnetic pincushion. Who knew? I've even learned how to make my own patterns! The atmosphere is always calm and focused, and I find it a welcome respite from my busy day to day life. Sewing has become a meditative practice for me now, which I look forward to every week. Patti is able to juggle every skill level in class, whether someone is just learning the bare bones basics, to the much more advanced. She's pretty well connected in the sewing world too, and hosts really interesting guest workshops. The studio is small and very tidy, with easy parking just outside the door. Classes are currently on a month to month basis, which is nice because it's not a huge commitment. I've seen students come for just a month, to get help on a specific project. Yep, she can do that too. And for the record, I've seen 2 men in class, everyone is welcome, West Side Sewing Studio is my little weekly getaway.
