Before booking anything, I texted this office directly to ask if they take Anthem Blue Cross for cleanings AND a sleep apnea mouthpiece. Their text back was crystal clear: "We do! And we do all of the above." (Check the screenshot attached). Any dentist offering sleep apnea devices knows these mouthpieces are covered under medical insurance, not standard dental insurance. They knew full well what I was asking for, yet they told me they covered it just to get me through the door. Are they that desperate for patients? I drove 45 minutes each way (an hour and a half round trip) for this appointment. It was only after they brought me back and put me in the chair that the dentist dropped the bomb: they don't actually bill medical insurance at all. To text-confirm "we do all of the above" under my insurance beforehand and then admit in the chair that they refuse to file medical claims is a blatant bait-and-switch. Instead, the dentist. last name Lapin, tried to play it off like no dentist bills medical insurance (only retired ones with nothing better to do), then pitched me an outrageous $5,000 to $6,000 cash price out-of-pocket. That is more than double what these custom devices normally cost. Luring someone into an appointment with false promises on insurance just to try to trap them into a massive cash bill in the chair is completely predatory. When I called them out on wasting my time, they were smug and dismissive. They waived the consultation fee, but didn't even bother to offer a basic apology for wasting almost two hours of my day and gas money due to their own line of BS. Do not trust what this office tells you over text or phone just to get you booked and in the door. Save yourself the headache and go to a real dentist who actually knows what they're doing and isn't incompetent, overpriced, rude, and arrogant.

Dr. Hamarnah and her staff helped me feel comfortable from the start. From initial intake to my first meeting, Dr. Hamarnah helped develop a plan to fix some long required issues. She had me deal with a top Periodontist to have some teeth extracted. That went very well and then she somehow worked with a lab (magic?) and had me fit with temporary teeth the next day. The cost was very fair and I felt well taken care of. The follow up from Dr. Hamarnah and her staff was excellent. April 2025 - I had an extraction and bone graft here. I was told the first few days would be tough but by day four, I was still in unbearable pain, with no real support. They acknowledged the tooth had a severe infection, but only prescribed ibuprofen. Nothing stronger. I couldn't eat, sleep, or talk. I felt completely dismissed and neglected. Once they got paid, that was it. No follow-up, no concern. Just empty reassurances and zero empathy. August 4, 2025 - Against my better judgment, I came back for the next step (implant screw). I called two hours ahead to request laughing gas due to my last trauma. After the procedure, I experienced immediate discomfort. Then it got worse. The front desk staff were rude, cold, and completely unhelpful. My prescription was supposedly sent at 1:45 PM, but the pharmacy never received it. I called the office FOUR times and got nowhere. The final time, Joan yelled at my husband, claiming she "saw it go through" and told us to be patient. Meanwhile, I'm bleeding, swollen, and in intense pain with no pain meds. This place is a nightmare. They don't care about people only profit. I left in tears and would never recommend this office to anyone, not even my worst enemy. The new people have provided me wrong copayment information, have not done what they said they would do and told me my refund was being mailed, when it has not been. Xavia is not easy to deal with, has a condescending attitude with patients and actually had the audacity to tell me that "that is why he is the owner", when 3 weeks ago I indicated it is not fair for patients to be made to wait for responses regarding over payments because the owner/dentist only works one day a week. Not an appropriate response, in my opinion. Given I have had to chase refunds from this office twice now, I will not be paying for services upfront. Will wait for EOB to do so; and if not able to, then I guess I will be looking for a new dentist. I have left messages asking for either the owner or my treating dentist to call me, and nothing. I guess they are not interested in knowing what their patients are going through. This has really left a bad taste in my mouth. Would have never happened with Amy. Good employees are truly hard to find.

Well I was delighted it didn't need the crown. He also checked prior to see that the nerve was not involved and thankfully it wasn't.
