When I came in person, I was told that the doctor no longer wanted to work with me and was simply advised to take 800 mg of ibuprofen instead of the 400 mg I had been taking. Instead of examining the issue or checking the bridge, no effort was made to identify the cause or fix the problem. Throughout the treatment, it felt rushed and primarily money-driven. My concerns were dismissed, and I felt talked down to. The cost estimates contained multiple errors. I strongly recommend double-checking all estimates. My experience was truly disappointing. Don't make the same mistake.

We happened to have mentioned this to our Wisconsin dentist while in for a cleaning and he recommended we try Michael Barr. It's a bit of a drive from Jupiter but we're glad we went! Dr. Barr is the dentist at Palm Beach Smiles. My wife and I both went for our first visit with back-to-back appointments for screening and cleaning. Kim, the Hygienist has a soft touch but our cleaning was as complete as it's ever been. We had X-rays and Dr. Barr pointed out two old fillings that needed to be replaced. My dentist in Wisconsin had replaced one six months ago and said the others needed replacing within the next year. I decided to try Dr. Barr for the work and was scheduled within two weeks. I arrived with typical anxiety which Dr. Barr quickly noticed. He said I won't have any pain (been told that before) and he'd talk me through each step in the process. Dr. Barr was very gentle with the numbing process and although I was anxiously awaiting the pain, I soon relaxed when I realized it wasn't going to be painful. Repairing both fillings took over an hour as the two teeth were opposing (upper and lower) and Dr. Barr fussed over the marking and shaping until my "chomp-chomp" was perfect. We're happy Dr. Barr was recommended to us and feel good we have a local dentist we can depend on.
