As the president of a company that works with clients everyday, I was looking to clean up my smile and luckily, I found Dr. Sally Hamarnah and her staff at Dentology. Dr. Hamarnah and her staff helped me feel comfortable from the start. From initial intake to my first meeting, Dr. Hamarnah helped develop a plan to fix some long required issues. She had me deal with a top Periodontist to have some teeth extracted. That went very well and then she somehow worked with a lab (magic?) and had me fit with temporary teeth the next day. The cost was very fair and I felt well taken care of. The follow up from Dr. Hamarnah and her staff was excellent. The dental work itself was fine. Dr. Tremaine is good at what she does. Marnie, the hygienist is the reason I have been a patient, as she is great! My frustration is with the administrative side of things. It has been terrible since Amy left last year. The new people have provided me wrong copayment information, have not done what they said they would do and told me my refund was being mailed, when it has not been. Xavia is not easy to deal with, has a condescending attitude with patients and actually had the audacity to tell me that "that is why he is the owner", when 3 weeks ago I indicated it is not fair for patients to be made to wait for responses regarding over payments because the owner/dentist only works one day a week. Not an appropriate response, in my opinion. Given I have had to chase refunds from this office twice now, I will not be paying for services upfront. Will wait for EOB to do so; and if not able to, then I guess I will be looking for a new dentist. I have left messages asking for either the owner or my treating dentist to call me, and nothing. I guess they are not interested in knowing what their patients are going through. This has really left a bad taste in my mouth. Would have never happened with Amy. Good employees are truly hard to find.

We happened to have mentioned this to our Wisconsin dentist while in for a cleaning and he recommended we try Michael Barr. It's a bit of a drive from Jupiter but we're glad we went! Dr. Barr is the dentist at Palm Beach Smiles. My wife and I both went for our first visit with back-to-back appointments for screening and cleaning. Kim, the Hygienist has a soft touch but our cleaning was as complete as it's ever been. We had X-rays and Dr. Barr pointed out two old fillings that needed to be replaced. My dentist in Wisconsin had replaced one six months ago and said the others needed replacing within the next year. I decided to try Dr. Barr for the work and was scheduled within two weeks. I arrived with typical anxiety which Dr. Barr quickly noticed. He said I won't have any pain (been told that before) and he'd talk me through each step in the process. Dr. Barr was very gentle with the numbing process and although I was anxiously awaiting the pain, I soon relaxed when I realized it wasn't going to be painful. Repairing both fillings took over an hour as the two teeth were opposing (upper and lower) and Dr. Barr fussed over the marking and shaping until my "chomp-chomp" was perfect. We're happy Dr. Barr was recommended to us and feel good we have a local dentist we can depend on. It took another 5 years for me to admit I needed them out and I decided to go to Dr Feinerman after hearing for years how great he is. 1. Hes seriously awesome. All my fears were totally squashed after meeting him. Seriously I was convinced I was going to go permanently numb and lose all feeling and taste in my mouth. That didnt happen and the milkshake I just devoured was glorious. Granted I'm still numb so spilling milkshake all over myself definitely happened. I'm not even bleeding. Which is good (see point 3). 2. He told me exactly what he was going to do and what would happen. All of his prognosis was good. Mind you I'm still numb and on painkillers but I can still Yelp like a pro, so it couldn't be that bad. He also listened to EVERYTHING I said from my concerns to where my veins were so that the IV didnt kill me. 3. I woke up and started laughing because I almost dry heaved due to the gauze. Than I couldn't stop laughing. These drugs are great. No pain and constant entertainment. I legit cant tell you what's funny, but I can tell you the experience is fun. 4. I was seriously worried about being Chip and Dale's long lost sister. NO SWELLING so far. And no excruciating pain. All of my fears were literally for no reason I should have listened to my dad (if you know him, dont tell me him I said this as he will hold it over my head for the rest of my natural life during this I told you so moment). Dr. Feinerman is awesome! Obviously, no one likes oral surgery, but he is great along with his amazing staff! Thank you!!!
