The Lobster Place at Chelsea Market has always been a favorite. Recently I went there to have a…read morelobster roll. Was I in for a surprise price wise? What used to cost $19 now is $23. Ouch! Nevertheless I had a lobster roll and it was still delicious. Next time I will have the roll with the soup and the bag of Zappo chips as it's much more value for the amount of money spent. There was plenty of seating available as now it's not as crowded as before the world stopped.

Ordering delivery from you all was the best decision I made. I was nervous to order seafood and I…read morefigured I would just do a light order to see what the quality would be like and I am so glad that I did. The shrimp and scallops are fresh, clean, and meaty. The cod is beautiful. The prices are definitely good considering the quality of the product. The delivery itself was super quick and early which I was shocked about. I hope you continue to offer this delivery service because I plan to gift my mom and in-laws with some of this great seafood.

Followed them on instagram and happened to see the video on how to cook octopus. Looked easy, so I ordered an octopus and tried it myself. Delicious and easy! (And low in calories too.) Just received my second order -- another octopus, plus a package deal of frozen cooked lobster, breaded shrimp, salmon cakes, and crab cakes. Am very excited to try everything. If I had a quibble at all, I think the shrimp might have gotten a tad defrosted en route to me, but I'll just cook that up today, so still very happy. Thanks Val's!

It was an amazing experience to visit The New Fulton Fish Market. There is mostly wholesale for…read morerestaurant owners, but a few vendors do sell their seafood individually. The space is really bright and wide inside and there are cars moving around fast, so you should be careful walking on the pedestrian walkway. The market is open from 2am to 7am Monday through Friday. The parking is $7. Be expected to wait in the car for a little bit if you arrive close to 2am. However, the cars do move fast enough to enter the market. We ended up getting scallops, oyster, shrimps and uni. We tried to cook everything the next day and they all tasted very fresh. We will probably visit again soon to try their fish, but firstly we need to find more friends to share with us lol

The whole event was very organized (including before hand). As we moved around their building all the stations were set up, so there was little hanging around. My class was split into a few sections, after a little team bonding and shouts of "meat" we got going. Firstly a run through of the anatomy of animals and things to look out for or attributes that change taste, we even touched on a few ethical issues which were interesting. Secondly Jessica ran through food labeling which was very interesting, I consider myself pretty well educated on meat purchasing but learnt a few things (I didn't know to look out for 1000% grass fed vs grass fed). Finally we got into the butchery section, initially with a demo then an attempt ourselves. I definitely learnt a lot of techniques I could use and they helped you throughout. Overall the class was great fun, the instructors were very helpful and at the end I had a lot of delicious meat to take home. Highly recommended. Matt
