Came here last month when they were part of the Wine & Art trail. I didn't get a chance to try any of their wines, though the owner I believe, spoke to us was really friendly and informative about her wines. Prices were good for sampling (I forgot if their called samples or flights) but I'm hoping to go back with my husband to do some tasting. It was a nice establishment, very spacious and nice outdoor seating with gorgeous views. The event was nice, lots of good artists and gifts for sale. They have music on occasion here and open mainly on the weekends (starting Friday) I can't wait to go back, a gem in the backcountry of San Diego, treat for residents of Warner Springs especially Stoneridge community:) read more

We caught this winery with its main pourer gone and had a woefully inadequate and under educated server. She had no clue about anything. She said there were no menus or even a list of wines they would offer to taste. I had to access the website to see. She was nice, but this was way out of her league. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the red wines in particular. Their price point is right on. Love finding hidden gems. Emerald creek is one of the North Mountain Wineries....located on 79 just outside of Warner Springs. Open Friday through Sunday. Kathleen was our hostess and server. She gave us background on the winery and how many of the wines were named which were after horses. The bar is simple but small. Six people fills it up. Not sure what they do when the big crowds come. We tried all reds for our tasting. But my favorite is still the syrah. We've been drinking the syrah around town and few other varietals around Temecula restaurants. My second fave was the Super Tuscan, a blend of sangiovese and merlot. Joe C is the winery manager and also runs the kitchen. Today we had some fine roast beef paninis. They were delicious and just melted in your mouth. Sandwich and a bag of chips 10 bucks. Not bad. Made fresh and took care of our lunch needs. The main room is HUGE! Lots of room and definitely not crowded. Tables located throughout. There is a projection TV that is on the wall. Its like 12 x 20 maybe. Outside is plenty of seating with views. Also a fire pit to keep you warm. Note....Warner Springs is about 9-10 degrees cooler than temecula so bring a jacket during winter or cold season. Wines are reasonably priced and well worth tasting and drinking on site. They have horseshoes and bocci ball if you want some activities. You have to check out the restrooms, they are really nice and Jen G approved. Big parking lot that accommodate the weekend crowds. A definite 5 star experience! We have enjoyed EC wines from afar, and so we decided we must do wine tasting at the winery. We had such a good time! The tasting room is huge. Kathleen served up several pours for us to taste. The wine selections seem endless. I enjoyed all of the reds that we tasted today. EC currently has 150 acres of vineyards. They have plans to open a Airbnb and RV camping. Joe, the chef, cooks up a delicious panini. The bread is toasted perfect, the pesto is tasty, overall a delicious sandwich. Today there was a one man band for entertainment ... that is until Mark D. stepped up to be a part of the vocals. Priceless memories created here today. There are several wineries in the Warner Springs area. EC is a 19 mile drive door to door from our house in Temecula. It's not that far, but farther than our drive to Temecula Valley wineries. The drive out is along highway 79. On a day like today, it was a beautiful drive with clear blue skies with puffy clouds to accent the view. Because they are a drive away from the 15 freeway, they don't get a lot of traffic. They are only open Friday-Sunday. If you are up to exploring wineries off the beaten path, you must stop by EC. read more

It was an iffy experience as we were ignored when we first arrived because the one person working there was engrossed with the one other couple already there So we stood around awkwardly not sure what to do. Nothing was explained about tastings or what to do and we ended up just asking for her to recommend a red. Of course, unbeknownst to us she recommended one of the most pricey ones. I gotta say, my family and I had a fantastic time at Emerald Creek Winery a few weekends ago. We had a decent sized group of about 12 people with even a few dogs and kids added in. Kathleen took great care of us and we left with probably as much wine as we consumed (which is always a good sign). The wine was great, with a series of red blends making a stand out appearance along with their sparkling wine. The space they have here is fantastic. The large outside seating area has great views and the inside tasting room will be able to accommodate a lot more people when the restrictions are lifted. The only down side here is there are very limited food options in the couple snacks stocked at the bar. You can, however, bring your own food and I hear there may be food trucks in the near future as well as the weather improves. Needless to say, I am looking forward to going back. Cheers! read more

We went out on 03/20 for a family birthday. We called about a week before and Kathleen arranged live music for us. He was a fairly talented guitar player who did a wide selection of songs. We enjoyed him very much. Kathleen did a very nice wind tasting, We brought our own food and sat out on the patio for a lovely afternoon of wine, talk and. She even arranged a golf cart tour if some animals for the kids in our group 12. Very pretty hillside venue offering a nice sloping westerly view of the property. Emerald Creek Winery is approximately 20 miles from Temecula on lower 79 ( Temecula Parkway ) and is located at the beginning of Warner Springs. It is located on a beautiful 700+ acre property, has a very large tasting room and a HUGE tv on one wall. They have a good selection of white and red wines and the tastings are very reasonable ($12.00 for 6 tastings). The winery is open Thursday through Sunday. They also have some basic foods like salads, panini sandwiches and cheese plates as well as chips. Their staff are nice and are knowledgeable about their wines. This is a drive from Temecula but well worth it as I like a number of their red wines especially their 2014 Syrah wine. You can also make a day out of it by bring a picnic lunch as they also have horse shoes and bocce ball. There are other wineries in Warner Springs like Hawk Watch and Shadow Mountain. I have been excited to come here for the last two years! Finally able to fit it into our schedule and wow, what a disappointing stop. I will say the wines were very nice. In fact I was so impressed that I was considering joining wine club. The property was lovely. The staff on the other hand was unfriendly. My mother in law walked up for her last taste and was informed that she received a double pour for last taste (number 5) so she couldn't have her 6th taste. Seriously... what the heck was that about. The place was not busy, the gal was rude and it completely turned us off. My husband and I have been actively looking for a new wine club with good wine and a great property, this could have been the place. I just had my wedding here, and it was an amazing experience! First of all, the people who work here are wonderful. I first met Kathleen who is always so sweet and helpful. She remembers the wines I like when I can't! Then I was referred to Joe for wedding planning, and I couldn't have asked for anyone kinder or more accommodating than him. He really went above an beyond so that everything would be perfect. Their wine is delicious, and the venue is gorgeous. I pictured an outdoor wedding in the sunshine overlooking acres of vines as far a the eye could see. We ended up having unusually bad weather for this time of year and had to have the reception inside, but it ended up being more beautiful than I could have imagined! After this experience I would suggest that anyone looking for a venue choose one with an indoor option!! Both their outdoor and indoor areas have incredible views which make for breathtaking photos. My photographer was really excited about the pictures we took in the vines! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!! In comparison with the Temecula wineries, Emerald Creek is much more affordable and accommodating, and even more beautiful! My husband and I are so happy with how everything turned out and we'll definitely make a tradition of visiting every year for our anniversary!! read more

We saw this on our way from San Diego to Palm Springs and decided to make the 3 mile trip out of our way to check it out. SO glad we did!!! It seems that many wineries these days are creating sweeter and sweeter wines....but not Emerald Creek! They have yet to sell their soul to the devil, which pleases me SO much. We arrived to a beautiful winery atop a hill. The place itself must be relatively new as all of the finishes seem extremely updated, clean, and sleek. The tasting is a little steep at 6 tastings for $12, BUT that is easily rectified by checking-in on Yelp. We got our tasting for half-off ($6), which is definitely reasonable. They have 10+ wines to choose from, including multiple Cabernet Sauvignons, a Merlot, a Malbec, a Syrah, a Chardonnay, and many others. Like I alluded to before...many great dry wines to choose from! We tasted the Sauvignon Blanc (an award winning wine), a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Merlot, a Malbec, a Syrah, and the Excalibur (which is more like a rose). The woman who served us was extremely knowledgeable, bubbly, and personable. Make sure to ask her about the difference between the Cabernet Sauvignon from SOCAL vs the one from northern CA. Really interesting. We were able to take advantage of the Yelp deal ($30 for $15) so we bought the Sauvignon Blanc and the Syrah (our two favorites). A few other things....they are open relatively late for a winery (7 PM). They frequently have live music. They also have quite the selection of food, including steak I believe. We didn't try any food so I can't comment on that. Finally, I have to mention that they have Sunday NFL Ticket!!!! If only I lived here.....it seems like a dream come true! Wine and football is the perfect combination. In sum, definitely a place you should check out!!! read more

Excellent winery! I am a tasting room manager for a Temecula winery and I must say that I was impressed by this place. Albeit small right now, this place will definitely take off! Currently strong in white wines, the Reds are soon on their way! The staff is extremely friendly! I met Lisa and Breana on a Friday. There were a few people who seem to be regulars there while we were tasting and they were so friendly - even sharing their food with us - that we could tell this winery is definitely doing something right. We had our wedding reception here. The place is beautiful. The reception hall was very nice, they make the wine and store it and sell it at a wine bar all in the same location which makes it fun. We had our reception on the covered patio. There was a nice breeze and the whole thing went great. Stephanie, the coordinator at Emerald Creek, was very responsive to all of our many questions. She was very attentive during the reception as well. The wine was excellent I had two glasses of their Riesling which was just the right amount of sweet and a tiny bit fizzy which I enjoyed. I was very busy so I did not get to sample all the wines but I heard the Malbec was great as well. We had the winery cater our reception. We went the inexpensive route but I expected a bit more. The chicken was ok but I heard people say the hamburger was dry. The potato salad was good. At this point I would suggest hiring an outside caterer but their catering option is new so maybe they will improve. This winery is about a 30 minute drive from Temecula or Anza. The grapes are about four years old I think and the winery just opened last year is Autumn of 2014. The place is very nice and you can see how it is going to keep improving and growing as a winery. Overall I would definitely recommend this winery. I recommend it most to anyone hosting any sort of event. Also, if you are a wine buff I think you will find this winery to be a unique experience. They were very excited to take us on their wine tour where they show the grapes and explain their process. read more

I was here yesterday with a big group. This place is amazing! They have a shuttle service from Temecula ( emerald creek tours) which makes it convenient. We started with some tastings, followed by the winery tour, lunch, more tastings and live music to end the evening. The wine was excellent. The Excalibur was my favorite. The scenery from the tasting room is beautiful, especially in the evening when you experience the sunset.... So relaxing & peaceful. The staff and owner were very nice & attentive.
