I was pleasantly surprised to get a call that it was done the week before Christmas. They did a gorgeous job on a "baby block" with baby's birth information embroidered on a fleece bean bag chair I am making. I allowed them some creative license for colors and placement as I felt they are the experts and my trust was well-placed! I've used Alison's services three times now. The first 2 times were good experiences, so I asked her to embroider my graduation cap. You can just tell it was rushed. Plus, the day I was supposed to pick it up she was very hit or miss with responding to my messages. She claimed she was running late from work while I was waiting in Fenton to pick up my item, but I'm pretty sure she was at home the entire time rushing to finish it. She said she was going to sew the piece of fabric on my cap, but instead she hot glued it. It looks a MESS. She also somehow ripped a piece of my cap where the cardboard underneath is now showing. I'm very disappointed in this experience especially because this was for such a special occasion for me. I will not be giving her my business any longer. read more

My husband and I dropped off seven needlepoint Christmas stockings at Allison's house the week after Christmas to have first names embroidered on them. Allison said they would be done before the end of January. What followed was over three months of unanswered phone calls and text messages, as I tried to find out if the stockings were ready. We finally dropped by her house two days ago to get the stockings, finished or not. Three had been embroidered, but she had torn the linings on two of them. A fourth stocking had been embroidered, but she was in the process of picking it out, and the lining had been damaged. I couldn't believe the carelessness--these are very meaningful to our family! Thankfully, three had been spared. Allison offered no apology or explanation--at least she didn't try to charge us. We are going elsewhere to get the job finished and the damage hopefully repaired. I dropped off a quilt square that needed a name put on and was told it was no problem. (I actually met the woman who does this when I dropped it at her house). It's been weeks and no response to any messages. Luckily I didn't pay first and found someone else to do this. I understand being busy but if you make available commitment then honor it. Well...we eventually got the 30 patches we ordered through Trail Life who contracted with Embroidery on Demand. However, they came 3 months after we ordered them. I followed up several times by email and rarely received a response. When I did get a response, it was about order status being updated to "Ready to Ship", even though it wasn't actually ready to ship (and didn't ship for another 2 1/2 months). Based on their website, it looks like the new owners took over about 2 years ago. I suspect this is an actual physical store with an online presence, but they seem to be very overwhelmed with orders. Or maybe they were waiting on supplies? Who knows. I just know that better communication and transparency would have gone a long way to improving the experience. I was about ready to write them off when I got an email with a shipping label, and then the product actually showed up. But it was radio silence for the 3 months before that. read more

I contacted Alison a month ago regarding an embroidery order, which was three items. Dropped them off and weeks went by with no communication. Message after message was "read" via DM and crickets. Two weeks ago she told me everything was done except one item which would be completed the next day. Again no communication. I finally said I was coming by today to pick the order up. It was there but the first letter on the backpack I had embroidered is messed up! I NEVER leave poor reviews but do not use this company for your embroidery orders. Unreliable. I have ordered from Embroidery On Demand a few times and each time the service has been such a wonderful experience. My responses were very quick and very friendly to the questions I had. Drop off was easy and the turn around time is quick. If you are in a hurry they work well with you to complete the order when you need it. My most recent order was a Baby Lovie that turned out beautiful and Perfect! A very professional company that I would highly reccomend to anyone and will definately be using again! I called and spoke to a woman. She seemed very nice when I explained what I needed, the only thing was that they were very busy at the time and would have to get back to me early the next week. In the meantime I did as she requested and sent her an email containing a graphic and a description of what I needed. At the end of the next week I called, no one answered so I left a message. I have called and hung up because no one was answering or left messages at least 2 or 3 times (maybe more). OBVIOUSLY THEY DON'T NEED OR WANT MY BUSINESS. read more

I would avoid this company as Alison has avoided our messages and calls for a status update on our order. Several people in this office have been waiting on orders that were placed nearly 4 months back. On my only call with them, around a month and a half after placing the order, they promised to mail the order within that week. These items still have not been shipped. They refuse to contact us back. This company simply ghosted an entire program office worth of orders, and will not contact any of us back. We had to go thru a refund process simply due to their inability to professionally call or message back. read more
