As Jason Lacanlale works his last few days at Spine and Sports this week, I thought it would be fitting for me to express my gratitude for his good work as the best PT I've ever had by far. After my appointments with him, I always feel significantly better. As a provider myself, I can tell you that I would personally recommend any of my patients and those I know to see Jason. I have had complete confidence in Jason's competence, knowledge, and experience to know how to progress my health to the next level. He has a special way of partnering as a team with his patients. You can sense that he genuinely cares about your health and works especially hard to help you get better. His departure is huge loss to Spine and Sports. But, I know he will be great wherever he ends up. A huge disappointment is that Spine and Sports is undergoing some changes and will no longer be accepting certain insurances, so I will have to look elsewhere. Of note is that this particular facility has very high ceilings and ample space unlike their dublin location that feels very tight and crampy. They also have lots of equipment and various modalities they use for PT that other facilities don't have. Until recently, they have changed their masking guidelines so that it is no longer required since the covid state of emergency has been dropped, in case that may be a concern for you. I highly recommend spine and sports PT for anyone needing PT and hope they won't ever change the way they care for their patients.

It was no quick fix, but he got me back running again. A bonus is that I am able to wear something other than my running shoes on a daily basis - although I do still look for supportive shoes. 2 years ago an issue flared up related to my lower back and he quickly noticed how out of alignment my hips were and after a few visits, I was feeling so much better. But the reason I am writing this is because of my most recent. I was really struggling with ankle pain. I had not injured it and normally when I get this type of pain, it is an indicator that I need new shoes. But new shoes and 6 weeks of no running did not solve the problem.
