We had an absolutely wonderfully prepared buffet and the residents there said the quality we received was normal and not for show, so that was good to hear. We had a brief tour passing through some lovely gardens and the closed campus seemed very safe and pleasant with its plantings and benches, and pets are allowed! The tour and event was for learning about the apartments and the building and hallways reminded us of our college dorms and wasn't as modern and fresh as hoped for, although they have tried to make them more pleasant with artwork and decorative touches. The little lobby and common rooms were pleasant to get one out of the apartments and wait for friend or visitors, and the bulletin boards were full of activities. They were updating the apartments and they really make the best of the space. Many have sizable terraces, but the one we saw didn't have much of a view. The staff and residents we spoke with were all very upbeat and happy to be there talking about the events on campus, transportation to appointments and events off campus, and the comfort of being where a continuum of care can be provided. They regularly offer various tours, so by all means, give them a call and see for yourself.

I was referred to this business through my insurance. I am a 48 year old woman who just fought and…read morebeat breast cancer, have three kids still at home and am completely disabled. I booked 1 2-hour session and 5 4-hour sessions. The first issue I had with this company was that they cancelled the 1st booking at the time of arrival due to a "family emergency". I was told they would call back by the end of the day to reschedule. I called twice and my insurance called as well and we left several messages over the next 2 weeks. We finally got a hold of them and rescheduled for yesterday. The caregiver came out and asked what I needed and I told her my bathroom needed worked on and everything went smoothly. Today she came for the 1st 4 hour session and things were going fine. When she started I told her I just needed her help in what ever way she could as my home had become very messy and unorganized during my cancer treatment and since I've become almost totally bedridden. She said "no problem" and started working. About halfway I to the session, looked like she was upset and I asked if she was ok and again a few more times and she continued to say yes and I apologized for the state of my home and she said "that's what I'm here for". I noticed that she was going outside several times and then she came into my room and thrusted her phone at me saying "it's my boss on the phone". The boss, Myra, then proceeded to smt elk me that her caregiver was having a reaction to the cats (I told her at booking that I have cats) and that its wasn't her job to do deep cleaning. I NEVER ONCE asked the girl to do any deep cleaning. She then tells me "you need more help than we are supposed to give you." And then the caregiver left. I don't understand people. How they can be so rude to people who are already down and kick them. Please stay away from this company. So unprofessional and rude.

His behaviors became increasingly erratic, needing family to stay with him 24/7, even though he was in Assisted Living. 3 ER trips in 3 days, physicians at the ER were all saying "this is end of life" - but the smaller hospice couldn't support us with the services we needed - basically, keeping him comfortable, calmed, able to rest, and not so fearful. We made the call to HOV and that same day, EVERYTHING was being addressed. He went from literally trying to climb the walls, injuring himself, thinking there were killers hiding in his shower, to resting quietly. We were kept updated by the compassionate HOV team. This made everything so much easier. The stress on family during this time is unbelievable - to know your loved one is in such great care, that we don't have to be there 24/7 while juggling work, home, kids, etc. is an incredible weight lifted. I've also worked with HOV on numerous occasions for work. As a nurse, I'm confident in recommending HOV. I also needed the 8 hours of training mandated by AZ for dementia care - and HOV provided that for free to our entire staff and did a tremendous job. Your outreach across the valley is incredible and your stellar reputation is well-deserved. Many thanks!
