Day 5, they have bent over backwards to take care of my husband. They have been kind, encouraging and attentive. I'm grateful!

I CANNOT suggest this company. The therapy we have experienced over the past 1.5 years has been…read moreexcellent, but the administrative end is a mess. They are a small company (which I usually prefer) and do not have the resources to deal appropriately with insurance and billing. Those in charge of administration are not well equipped to do their jobs adequately and (at best) you will suffer financially for their inadequacies while attacking your personal character. I am canceling my services with this company and wish I would have looked elsewhere before I ended up in this mess. There are a lot of good resources out there for families with needs and the last thing a family with medically complex children needs is unexpected medical bills for services they were promised (multiple times) were covered both through AzEIP and insurance. If you are looking into Sunrise Therapy Services, your family has medical needs. You likely are overwhelmed with all the medical appointments of one or more of your family members. You need a company that helps you reduce your mental/emotional/physical load. Based on my experience, Sunrise Therapy Services will only add to those (sometimes insurmountable ) burdens. You do not need a company that does not have the resources to adequately do their administrative duties; you need a company that has a great history of communication and is able to take care of billing issues before they become big issues. Because this has not been my experience with Sunrise, I cannot recommend them. 0 stars - look elsewhere.

My child was attending OT here for the last bunch of years. Today I get a call saying that sorry we…read moreare cancelling your child's therapy as of today. He will be put on a wait list so that maybe in October he can come back! They would not tell me why it was only my child! The owner will not return a phone call! My child has abandonment issues and now he is in tears asking why she (his ex-occupational therapist) could not even tell him goodbye! (Such a good question)! I should have known better, the same thing happened 2 years ago with the speech therapist and he is still on a waiting list! If you choose to go here, be prepared to be dumped at the last minute and out of the blue!

Life Care Center of Paradise Valley - I mean it's still a rehab center and all but at least I'm in the best of company. #munchkinsvisitingmom

Wow! Wow is not a BIG enough word but it is what comes to mind all too often hour by hour, day…read moreafter day concerning my care here at Life Care Center of Paradise Valley! Every professional here is always approachable and they can't do enough for me as to my comfort and care and get this...I am part of the conversation! They know that because I am sick or with all the concerns that I have, I'm still deserving of respect. I feel valued...wow, again! Besides medical services or care attention, I am offered non-solicited and genuine conversation and actually look me in the eyes when conversing. What? Yes....it's true! It's a nice feeling being respected and knowing that what I say actually still matters. I can go on and on and believe me, if I had the time and strength, I would...because these folks ( Gigi is my favorite if I had to pick one ) are over the top professional while forwarding comfort and compassion, offered and delivered with a warm hand. I have been around, folks....I have had relationships with other temporary residents in these sorts of facilities. What I am saying is that I wish someone took the time to write a non-biased and accurate review that I possibly could have read and my last 3 or 4 facilities would have never happened. Someone would have actually read it and told me as, to be honest, I do not have computer accessibility. I have another week or so here still and I had to ask a few times, how can I thank these people for all they have done for me and continue to do....a niece told me about YELP and she found it and let me type away on her computer gadget here. Anyway... we are all in this together and I feel good writing this in hopes this helps someone else. Time to go....dinner is served! ; ) Tim P. (Phoenix, AZ.)

My mom was taken here from the hospital on Friday the 5th late at night. So when I went there on…read morethe 6th, I was so shocked. The place stink, the rooms are dirty ie dead bugs wrapper papers from food and above all I found a pill on the floor looked it up and it was a extended release morphine tablet. My two year old grand daughter was there, and we all know that they put everything in their mouths, the staff for the most part was good except for Lucy a night nurse. Went in one night and found a dirty diaper laying on a chair. Asked how long she had left before she had to start paying a copay was told 8 days then got a call the next day that said her time was up, and her copay would be 218.00 a day. So went to take her out against medical advise, they didn't help me get her into the car and didn't give me her meds. Because I took her out against medical advice Talked to her Dr, and he said that they couldn't refuse her meds. Going to seek legal advice. Didn't want to give a star but couldn't post without it. In my opinion neg 5 stars
