It is not a Burke's, woodhouse Day Spa or a hotel Spa. I've been there and prefer this place if you want a very good deep tissue massage. The room is not fancy, but it is clean and all the rooms have doors. I had Tina today and she did such a good job. I regularly get massages once a month. I am sad I don't live close by. She knew that my shoulders were knotted and spent a lot of time getting all the knots out. She knows her anatomy and often checked in to see if I was doing okay. She offered some herbal Chinese medicine, I think it is similar to biofreeze. I took the chance and glad I tried it. I feel like a new person.

For the price and going in for a problem area, fantastic!…read more To preface, I'm someone that's very low maintenance/simple. If you are more high maintenance and want all the extras and more expensive spa features this may not be the place for you, but giving that as a warning now so someone with that type of lifestyle doesn't go in thinking it's something it's not. I really feel like I have to leave a review because some of the negative reviews almost discouraged me from going here, but I am SO glad I did. About 2 weeks ago I strained a muscle in my left upper back and another just deep to my L shoulder blade. I have background in PT and work in healthcare so I tried to resolve it myself with no avail. In the field I work in, I am axial loading A LOT, carrying heavy bags, gear, and equipment. This week I told myself I NEEDED to get a massage. I've gotten several over the years as someone with Thoracic (70deg) and lumbar (50deg) severe scoliosis. I got a 90min full body massage today for $90. I had Lucy and she was GREAT! I showed her the areas I was having tightness and she worked that out and more in the first 30 minutes. I was skeptical at first because the first 30 mins of the massage were dry with no lotion, but I think that was intentional to work out the knots that I had throughout my back. For the next 30 mins, she used lotion and primarily continued on my whole back, neck, and upper glute area. Last 30 minutes she covered my limbs front/back and chest area. I am a 5'2, 160 lbs, solid, athletic build female. My masseuse was probably no more than 120lbs but you wouldn't have known it. She used leverage to really get into the areas I had problems with and I left as a satisfied customer feeling much looser in my upper back. Definitely will be back and recommend! Things to consider: *For the price, you're not getting a fancy place. For some the sheet may be too small/not enough coverage. If that's something that is a concern for you I would recommend bringing a sheet of your own along for extra draping and/or asking for an additional sheet. It didn't bother me, but I saw that was a complaint below. *Walls and doors are thin. If you're going there for a muted experience where you only hear the music in the background, not a place for you. (I'm super easy and low maintenance so that wasn't bothersome for me, but I could see how that might bother someone else.) *They do not do an intake/waiver form like other fancier places do. If that's something that will bother you, I think that's a good thing to inform as well. They have an eastern medicine approach (not bothersome to me but maybe to others)

Have mostly had positive experiences here except for my most recent one that really didn't leave a great taste in my mouth - I came at the end of the day with an appointment. I showed up on time but they ran late and I waited 15-20 minutes to get started. Then my masseuse seemed upset that my massage was going to run late and seemed to rush through it. She also only gave me a 50 minute massage when I paid for an hour, and spent multiple chunks of time stepping out / talking to others out in the hall. Because of this most recent experience I am not sure if I will be coming back. They do offer couples massages as well. I recommend making an appointment in advance especially for peak times like weekends and Friday nights, since they can fill up.

After one session with him, I now know why his clients stick with him for many years. I'm a pharmacist and do a combination of traditional weight lifting, yoga sculpt, and started this new Hyrox program that completely destroys my body (mainly my lower back) due to its high volume. After a brief consultation, Dru goes over a game plan with you to determine what muscle groups to work on, what areas to prioritize, and also explains where the root cause of the pain is coming from. I like that he goes hard in the paint and can adjust pressure in areas that are more sensitive. Most importantly, I like that he works WITH you and not ON you, meaning that he will communicate with you throughout the session to make sure that his techniques or elbow placement is in the perfect spot. Most therapists just do their thing and sometimes take feedback as micromanaging or being bossy during the session, but Dru truly caters to your needs and turns off the ego while working with you. After my first session with Dru, my lower back wasn't constantly achy anymore, My shoulders felt like they had more range of motion, and I could turn my neck better than I have in months! If you are looking for quality Bodywork, come see Dru and his team!

She took an assessment of my activities, habits, physical health, painful areas, and preferences, and gave me the massage I needed based on my responses. Perfect pressure, methodical, and incredibly relaxing. Her reiki training was also evident, which I felt really enhanced the massage. They seemed new and didn't have many reviews, and as a Yelp Elite, I usually rely heavily on reviews. But we decided to give it a shot. I'm really glad we did. I asked for deep tissue, and they did not hold back. For a large portion of the massage, my masseuse actually walked on my back -- fully standing and balancing herself using the rails attached to the ceiling (you can see it in the photos I posted). Not just for a quick moment either -- this was a consistent technique throughout the session. I've always said during stressful times that I wish someone would just walk on my back. I didn't think that would literally happen. And honestly, it was exactly what I needed. The pressure was deep but controlled. She shifted her weight carefully and worked directly into my upper back, where I carry most of my tension. It felt intense in the best way. I've only ever seen that style of massage in movies, so experiencing it in real life was pretty surreal. They also incorporated hot stones, which helped everything settle afterward. The room was clean, calm, and comfortable -- simple and relaxing. My mom was in the next room and loved her massage too. What stood out most was how they cared for her. She's legally blind and has some mobility challenges, and they took the time to walk her to the room and make sure she was comfortable before starting. That meant a lot to both of us. The lobby and bathroom were clean, there was plenty of parking, and it's tucked into a quiet strip mall in a nice area. For the quality and the price, it was absolutely worth it. I would definitely return the next time I'm in California.
