C&C Finish Carpentry and Painting

C&C Finish Carpentry and Painting

Finding a skilled, honest, and trustworthy contractor these days can feel impossible, but we were…read morelucky enough to find Claudio. As first-time homeowners, we had a rough experience with another company that refinished our floors. After removing the carpeting from our stairs, they were left noticeably noisy, but the company went ahead and refinished them anyway without giving us a heads-up--leaving us no opportunity to explore other options for addressing the issue. On top of that, they left stain all over our trim, doors, and walls. We were frustrated and disappointed--until Claudio came in and made everything right. He meticulously added shoe molding throughout our entire upstairs, prepping, priming, and painting all the trim to perfection. On our staircase, he installed cove molding, carefully nailing it into place to help with the noise while also covering the gap between the treads and risers for a more seamless look. He then prepped, primed, and painted the risers and stringers, giving the staircase a beautifully finished appearance. He even went above and beyond, covering the stain left behind on our walls and doors, making everything look fresh and cohesive again. Claudio is not just incredibly skilled at his craft--he's also professional, hardworking, and truly cares about the quality of his work. He's fairly priced and willing to work with you if needed, which we really appreciated. He was so trustworthy that we felt completely comfortable giving him a key to our home while we were at work. Now, thanks to Claudio, we are proud to show off our home, and the results speak for themselves (check out the before & after photos attached!). Unfortunately, Google erased Claudio's well-earned reviews, so we're more than happy to share our experience and recommend him wholeheartedly. We look forward to using him again in the future for our carpentry and painting needs. If you need someone who is thorough, talented, and genuinely cares, Claudio is the one to call!

CONSUMERS and CONTRACTORS BEWARE!!! I have never made it a point to leave a negative comment about…read moreanother contractor until now. I cannot believe this company is in business. First the painter began painting door trim prior to flooring and carpeting being installed. He used white wall paint and tried to pass it off as trim paint. When the client noticed this the painter then finally used trim paint. However he failed to read the instructions on the back of the paint that specifies the correct brush to use. Needless to say the trim was chipped when the carpet was installed. Again, he wasn't supposed to start painting until after the all the flooring and trim were installed. I was initially hired by my client to install all the trim. My clients hire me to ensure all their jobs are done correctly and to their satisfaction. If not, I go back and redo my own work at my own time and expense. I was working on the job one evening and the painter showed up. He said he was just coming to check on the progress. I explained to him that I would call him as soon as I was done with the trim. A few days later I returned to complete the job only to find the painter had used my materials and equipment that were left on site and attempted to complete the job himself. He did it completely wrong! He also may have also ran nails into the PEX and copper plumbing since he clearly does not know how to install trim at a basic level. There aren't any FHA plates/nail guards on a building this old. We shall find out once the nails rust out. My client is extremely dissatisfied to say the least. I am not in business to lose my money and my time. I absolutely refuse to work on a site where this company will be present before, during or after my work. If this company is willing to go out of it's way to treat other contractors with such an appalling level of disrespect and disregard for quality workmanship. Then, You the consumer, should ask yourself "is saving a few dollars today worth a multitude of headaches during and possibly after the job?" Buyer beware!

Do not use this company for painting. This guy said he had…read more25 years experience in painting. I would bet it's 25 years of kindergarten finger painting. He doesn't understand which type of paint to use on the wall or trim. He doesn't understand to do trim and cut in first and then apply the paint to your walls. Drip marks everywhere, poor caulking. I'm getting level 5 drywall installed in my house and I was looking for a reputable painting company, Don't hire these guys regardless! Unfortunately it's in my work place at my office. I'll have to pay another Painter to come back and fix their mistakes, lesson learned!! And to top it off, my carpenter who I've worked with for several years nearly walked off the job after he found that the painter has taken it upon himself to install trim. He may have hit my plumbing and my carpenter refuses to be responsible if there are any leaks! My carpenter is also known for doing caulkless joints in his trim. This painter might as well put peanut butter in the joints. The painter is so out of order from how I've seen my own remodeling done, that I begin to wonder myself if this is his first time painting. I've never seen a trade use someone else's equipment and supplies in my life. Clearly being in a skilled trade business, I would not appreciate it either. This company nearly cost me in losing one of my best contractors. More, I know I'm stuck with a sub standard job that my contractor can not guarantee and I don't blame him. I did give one star because the painter was a nice liar as opposed to a mean liar.
