I've been to several lounges but for my money this lounge measures up to all the (great ones) Customer service is second to none, both Anjal and Danny are highly knowledgeable about tobacco. I originally came here shopping for a new humidor and these guys taught me much more than expected, plus the selection really blew me away from pipes like my dad use to smoke to cigar cutters, lighter, they even have supplies for people who Vape. The CIGAR selection was overwhelming, I must have shopped in the humidor for 45 plus minutes, they covered all categories from your finest smoke to your everyday cigar and the prices are extremely competitive. Embassy cigars has a large variety of cigars, The owner and staff have helped me pick a few different types when I was first getting into cigars, I took plenty of time looking through all of their selection multiple times and not once did I feel rushed by them. Not only did they educate me on the different flavor profiles and types but also recommended many great ones for me to try based on me describing what I may or may not like in terms of flavor and taste. Their lounge is great to kick back and enjoy a cigar on their couches, the back lounge area has three tv's. Great place to unwind. Of course prices are very reasonable. I started this Yelp account a long time ago to help me in finding awesome businesses to be a patron of. I never once wrote any reviews because, to be honest, I just don't like to. However, because of the experience I had today with Embassy Cigars, I had to write this. I've been looking for a nice cigar lounge to hang out and buy cigars from in OC. When I came across Embassy on Groupon.com I decided to purchase a Groupon. I was excited reading about their large selection of cigars, the nice cigar lounge, and great customer service here on Yelp. I called them the day I purchased the Groupon and asked if they had any Kuba Maduros in stock and was told that they normally don't stock them but I could place an order for a full box if I wanted to. I said awesome and told them I would call back later when I was running lower on my current stash. Two weeks before the expiration date (and with 10 cigars left), I called and asked if I could place an order and redeem my Groupon and was told that I could ONLY talk to Anjal for Groupon deals and that he wasn't in. I called back the next day and was told Anjal still wasn't in. I called a week later and asked for Anjal, and again, he wasn't in. I told the gentleman on the phone that I would really like to redeem my Groupon before it expires and that I would like to place an order for a box of cigars. The gentleman took down my name and number and told me that Anjal would call as soon as he got in. A few days later I still get no call so I decided to drive down there in person on the last day of the Groupon deal (today). I told the gentleman at the counter that I called a few times and was told that Anjal would call me back but he never did. He tells me that Anjal told him to tell all customers that yesterday was the last day to redeem Groupons and that I couldn't use it today. I told the gentleman again that I called a few times and couldn't get a hold of Anjal and I would really like to redeem my Groupon. He calls Anjal, I'm assuming to his personal cell phone, and it goes to voicemail. Immediately after he hangs up, Anjal calls him right back (which I wish he could've done for me whenever it is he got in). The gentleman tells him my story and then gets a response and hangs up. He then tells me "I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do for you." I said to him "I've been trying to get a hold of Anjal, who is the ONLY person that I could talk to for this Groupon deal and then waited for him to call me back and he never did. Now I have this Groupon I can't even use because you guys have poor customer service?" He told me "I'm sorry, I just got off the phone with Anjal and he said he can't help you." I said thanks and walked out. In the car I called their other location in Anaheim Hills and told them the same story. I asked if there was anyone there that I could talk to that could help me. I was told that the person in charge there was in India and I had to speak to Anjal. I said nevermind, thanked the gentleman on the phone, and hung up. Luckily, Groupon's customer service is what it's supposed to be...GOOD, and refunded my money back. It is just absolutely ridiculous that only ONE person can redeem customers' Groupons and that I HAD to order on HIS schedule. Why couldn't any of his other employees do it? On top of that, I never got a call back, and when I showed up in person to tell them what happened, they WOULDN'T make things right. I'm glad that everyone else had a great experience here. It would be an experience that I will never enjoy because I would never step foot in this place again. It makes me sad that my very first review had to be a negative one. I hope no one else gets treated this way. read more

Went in and the guy who runs it is a jerk. Basically told me to leave because I was taking up his time and he had to get back to work(isn't it his job to help me figure out what I want?!) there wasn't even anyone there besides me to make him to busy to help me. I used to be in cigar business and am a firm believer in supporting local brick and mortar shops in this age of the internet - particularly in California where cigars are taxed to death. But I have to voice a fair warning to those to visit Embassy Cigars in Brea: buyer beware. Most cigar smokers are just trying to get positive recommendations and be given honest information. They often have access to internet on their smart phones, but most are polite and well mannered to not "google" things someone says in conversation. In the case of the owner of Embassy, have your phone ready. Selection in the store's humidor is solid. No complaints. Pricing is Southern California high. Taxes are heavy in this state on tobacco, so expect to pay the price accordingly. Try not to ask the owner for a recommendation as some of the information he gives out is categorically false. And that is my only issue with the store. People expect information that is correct. For their money, they should be provided recommendations that are not only fair, but more importantly, informative. You - the proprietor of Embassy Cigars - are in the business. Joe Businessman is not. Just wants a nice smoke. My hope is the owner reads this Yelp review and makes an effort to education himself more on cigars and not just recycle myths or untruths. Here's the truth....because in life that's all there is: There are 2 locations of course...Anaheim Hills and Brea.Anjal runs the Brea store,Gary operates Anaheim Hills.I have lived in the Anaheim Hills area since 2005 and I have been a customer since that time. 1.These two gentlemen are brother-in-laws ...they run an outstanding business.! 2.Their employees are eager,friendly and care about you and what you smoke. 3.I have seen their prices fluctuate over the past 7 years through this challenging economy in the USA...and I must say their pricing is right on ,considering their vast inventory! 4.I am a LONG TIME CATALOG cigar buyer for at least 15 years and always came to Embassy for my "Onesies" and "Twosies" because Gary and Anjal have QUALITY,FRESHNESS, and VARIETY!!! 5.I am a customer for life....these guys are excellent TOBACCANISTS!...I can say so because I'm in their shops more than 3-4 times a week consistently for many years now. If they dont have a certain brand OR if they have the brand, but not the size you want ,they can get it at a reasonable price so you are happy and they can make a profit...so I hope you come down and become a customer.I have learned alot and have been introduced to many cigars that I would have never smoked. This place has a great assortment of cigars and accessories. I initially had zero knowledge of cigars- other than I like to smoke them occasionally. I came here in October '14 to buy a humidor for my boyfriend for his birthday because we were both gradually more interested. The owner was extremely helpful and explained everything to me. Because of him I got a great humidor and cigars to start with and he even set up the humidor for me. The owner and manager, Anjal is very knowledgeable. Their prices are decent and their selection is larger than any other lounge or shop I've seen. I'd say the size of the humidor in the brea lounge is three times the normal size you see in other shops. Anjal will also help you pick out cigars that fit your flavor profile and recommend new cigars that are always great smokes. Every single time I've been in there the service has been exceptional. Anjal gives you space when you need it and help when you ask for it. Nothing worse than someone hovering over your back while you try to take your time to check out the new stock or decide what you want. They have great events and discounts on boxes too. The best thing about buying a "box" is that they count ANY 20 cigars as a box so you get a large variety. This is especially helpful if you're not an experienced smoker so you can try different brands and sizes. The only thing that I would improve is the size of the actual lounge area. A bit on the small side. But as I said, I haven't been to too many places that beat Embassy in terms of selection. That's why it earns four stars. read more

stopped by this place to buy a cigar and the owner is a fucking douche bag. he only kisses up to his customers that spend money in his store. the place is cool and his selection is top notch but over priced and his attitude sucks balls. wasn't sure if his lounge was open to the public. he only offers his lounge if you have deep pockets or if you look the part. if you look g'd up like me, he won't let you in. so i went up the street on central to ISLANDS CIGARS where i met the owner chad. dudes real cool, nice selection of cigars n a chill lounge. save your money n stay away from embassy cigars. read more

This is a great place to get your cigars. I'm definitely a cigar novice, but I do enjoy a good cigar here and there even though I can't really tell the difference between the different types yet. I've gone with my bromosexual before and we had a good smoke in the lounge and that was a great relaxing time. The owner is very helpful and very nice. I can walk in there and he can point me towards a good starter cigar. They answered any questions I had and even humored me in talking about matching a good cigar with a good beer. That part of the convo I liked because I actually do know quite a bit about beer so it was great hearing how the pairing actually works with the two mediums. Anyways, it's a pretty classy joint and it's quite the looker. It's not for the faint of heart though. Some of the higher end cigars are quite pricey and so are the cutters and the torches but if you decide to smoke in the lounge, the cutter and the torch is provided for you. Oh on another added note, I brought in a torch that was almost dead and the owner showed me how to fill it and he refilled it for free.
