    Fondue and apples.. wonderful

We love going to this local establishment. Friendly, good service, excellent wine. We thoroughly enjoy the tapas as well. We look forward to our next visit.

This place is amazing. I came here with some friends the service the food. The ambience was excellent highly recommended. What a small gem in battleground.

My husband and I had a delightful Friday evening at Emanar cellars, a beautiful little tapas wine bar that specializes in Spanish wine and food. The owners, Mar (who is from Madrid) and Richard, were friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything they offer. We enjoyed two of their wine flights and then picked glasses of our favorites while feasting upon their tapas for dinner. The combo meat/cheese plate was full of flavorful items and it came with fantastic flavored olive oil and balsamic for dipping bread. The fondue was also filling and savory but our favorite was the stuffed dates.....so good we ordered a second helping! They came fresh and hot right out of the oven and we savored every bite. Overall, their selection of wine and food was abundant along with some very tasty looking seasonal favorites (mmmmm....homemade eggnog). They have live music on the weekends and create a lovely atmosphere with both the decor and their attentive service. If we lived closer, we would be frequent visitors. That said, if we ever find ourselves in the area again, it is a must stop location. The only downside (or I guess it could be an upside) is its location. It's slightly off the beaten path, a hidden gem; because if this place was anywhere near the heart of Seattle metro it would be jam-packed every night.

Where to start. Emanar cellars is amazing! Mar and Richard clearly have so much passion for their business. They, along with their amazing employees pay attention to every detail. The food is amazing, and they plate it beautifully with the perfect silverware and plates. Finally got to bring my mom here Mother's Day weekend after eyeballing it for a while and it was such a wonderful end to the day. They have a $5 rose tasting flight for Mother's Day weekend, which was an amazing deal. Can't wait to come back

The owners are first rate folks and go out of their way to make you welcome and feel like friends. I was part of a group that held an event here and it was our best event yet hands down. Great food, cold drinks, what more could you ask for. Their outdoor space is brand new and designed to feel very open. Plus they give a discount to those that ride there on 2 wheels!

We were promised Cacio e Pepe (my FAVE!), but that was no Cacio e Pepe. It was good. It was a perfectly fine alfredo sauce, but it wasn't what I was excited to have for dinner that night. I would have easily overlooked this, though, if we'd had a server who was hard to track down and the dinner didn't take 45 minutes to come out to us (and honestly, she didn't know what the free dinner offering was for the night). We did order an appetizer (the artichoke dip - and it was super yummy), so I get that our dinner was being timed to come out after that, but I think we waited quite a bit longer than 20 minutes *after* we were done with our appetizer to get our dinners. And we were the second table to arrive for dinner service, so it's not like we caught them during the dinner rush. It was kind of a bummer. This was my second time there. I recall not particularly loving my first experience when it was still the Rusty Grape. I might give it a third (and final) try, but I'm on the fence. We'll see.

Even going on a Monday night, it was packed with people, however, we were able to snag a table for two without a reservation right away. The service was attentive and helpful. I got the full portion of the smoked mushroom ravioli and I absolutely loved it. I appreciated that the portion was quite large because too often ordering ravioli means you barely get any pasta. The sauce was decadent, savory, smokey, and had a hint of sweetness, which pulled everything together.

Our server was friendly and quick. She answered questions and described the specials. They have gluten free focaccia!!!! It was super yummy, but it was also served kinda cold. Worth it. We ordered the fresh catch, which was halibut with some potatoes and grilled asparagus. The accompanying sauces were delicious. The asparagus was good. The white potatoes though had been cooked previously and weren't reheated enough. They were described as new potatoes but were definitely large chunks of russets. They were hard to eat. So we didn't. We also had the Punta di Fesa which is a braised beef dish with mushrooms on polenta. The balsamic mushrooms and polenta were so flavorful and delicious. It was a good thing that my husband started with this dish (we traded halfway through and had plenty to eat!) because I would have eaten his share of the polenta too. The beef however was dry and not what I would have expected from a braised beef. When we were given a knife, we were told we probably wouldn't need it. We did. The service here was friendly and helpful. Our server was knowledgeable about gluten free needs and recommended a great bottle of wine that went well with our fish AND the beef (which is tricky...yummy Chianti AND half price!). It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night at 7. There were people that ended up waiting but not too long. There are shelves of Italian goods all around you. My husband said he felt like he was eating in a store. You kind of are, but it was still cozy. I plan to come back to try the gluten free pasta and maybe a lunch sandwich if they have solid gf options there. Also, the dessert menu looked great. We were just full.

Our food was outstanding! We ordered a brie that had a fabulous fig sauce on top and then also we ordered a burger. That was absolutely incredible! The scallops are cute little guys and very tasty. All the skewers were delicious. I think next time I would skip the beef cheek poutine. The beef cheek was the best part and the other ingredients were just so so. Dessert? We got the chocolate pot de creme and chocolate lava cake.
