We were the only 3 people in the theater, so asking to turn down the volume was not going to ruin anyone's "experience". I asked three times to lower the volume, which was beyond obnoxious. I mean come on, it's a movie for children, can we not read the room! My Mom and I were able to tell they did lower the volume some, but was told that was as low as they could lower it Really?! It was so beyond for a child that we told them we wanted our money back and we left. $49 for 2 adults, 1 child, 2 bottled waters, and 2 small popcorns.

I grabbed 2 of their trays for the seats to hold the popcorns and drinks and began juggling all of that alone. I proceeded to my theater and was met by a staff member that said they were still cleaning and we would need to wait in the hall. When I asked where I could place the trays and food I was juggling I was told "I don't know" I asked for a manager and I had 3 "managers" come up to me. I explained that I was juggling all of this as a single parent and they said " maybe don't come so early". I said that the staff member should advise the theater doesn't open until 30 mins before a show and she said " we can't catch everyone".... We were having a great time until, completely out of the blue, the owner approached us and told us that if the kids broke any of the games, we would be responsible for paying for them because they are 30 years old. I completely understand wanting to protect valuable, vintage equipment. That is reasonable. What was not reasonable was the way it was communicated. There is a right way and a wrong way to address customers, especially families who are there spending money and trying to enjoy themselves. I was so uncomfortable with the interaction that I went to our server, who was incredibly kind and sweet, and told her we were going to leave and simply pay for our drinks. She even offered to have the drinks put into to-go cups. At that point, the other female owner, who was sitting at the bar, commented that the games were 30 years old and that we should "parent our kids." Excuse me? We absolutely understand the responsibility of supervising our children. What we did not expect was to be spoken to in that manner by the owners of an establishment we were patronizing. As someone who was also raised in the hospitality industry, I understand that protecting your business and your property is important. But hospitality is also about how you communicate with your customers. A simple, friendly, "Hey guys, just a heads up--these games are vintage and we ask that the kids please be careful with them" would have accomplished the exact same thing without making your customers feel unwelcome or insulted. We came in excited to introduce our out-of-town friends and their kids to your establishment. Instead, we left embarrassed and disappointed. The food may be great, but unfortunately, great food doesn't make up for making your customers feel unwelcome. I sincerely hope this is something the owners take to heart, because there was a much better way to handle this situation.

We told them we went on the website and it showed the lounge's hours and it didn't say anything about being closed.... they said nothing. And guess what? I got home from the show and went to the web site and NOW it says it's closed til May...... We haven't been happy with the Center for awhile now. It doesn't feel like it's being run very well.

We entered via the outfield entrances, so we had to walk all the way around the stadium to get to our seats down the third base line. They had some nice fireplaces in right center and adirondack chairs located all over the concourse looking onto the field. There really isn't a bad seat in the house as the stadium isn't big enough or poorly designed enough to offer bad sightlines. Food was a little disappointing. While there were a crazy amount of options, the pork was just okay and the nachos were the same. I'd have to come back and try some of the other stuff since there's just so much variety. If you're even remotely a baseball fan and you're in the area, Dow Diamond is worth a trip.
