This movie theater has gone through a lot of changes in the past ten years. They do not have the spec for a full recliner experience, however they did upgrade at least 1 row in their smaller theaters and 2 rows in each of their bigger theaters to have recliners. The recliners are comfy, cozy, and have a good view of the screen. The staff keeps the premises and auditoriums very clean, despite how busy it gets. This movie theater is prone to bouts of understaffing, which is when you get a messier premises, but they are on top of things regularly which I appreciate. My biggest problem is with how expensive this theater has gotten. Charging almost $10 for a drink, and then charging almost the same price for a popcorn, is a bit outrageous. It used to be that you could get a large combo for $9.25, and they did away with the medium size entirely. It also used to have a nice and spacious concession stand/ ticket counter, which is now cluttered/ crowded with stanchions and candy/ merchandise that nobody buys. I also do miss when seasonings were included at the butter stations. That may be the fault of the company as a whole, but it is sorely missed. Their new IMAX area is quite lovely. Definitely feels like a VIP experience walking in and through it. read more

Movie was good. Theater had trash in the row I was in. Not just a wrapper. But empty popcorn containers candy wrappers and popcorn itself on the floor along with drink cups! Paid three dollars more for the VIP experience! Ohh what fun setting in other people's trash! Will not be going back anytime soon read more

We went on a date night to see the movie Weapons in IMAX and the facility was clean and well maintained. The movie pretty much sucked but the staff were great and helpful. The theatre was really warm and it was humid that day but it was still good to get out and actually do something together besides work and no play. read more

Only one person working concessions when we walked in. He was polite but lack luster. There are only 2 rows of theatre recliner seating in the actual theatre in the middle of the theatre, tight sitting. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING, not cleaned at all with gross stalls in EVERY way. The front lobby was covered in garbage, wrappers, and popcorn, as were the floors in the theatre room itself. Two of the four drink machines didn't work, and the popcorn was stale. (They didn't offer Ollypop either.) You have to pay for seasoning, only offering salt for free. This theatre has gone down hill SO BAD, and we definitely won't be returning, and we see at least one movie a week. The "cleaning" employees were on their phones in the hallway, standing around the cleaning supplies. You need to do better NCG, GB. read more

Had to go to someone in maintenance to start our movie last night. Not sure how long we would have waited if they weren't notified that the movie was already 10 minutes late starting. Just a blank screen. The guy was apologetic and went to the background and got it started. Women's Restroom was discussing. See video. They said at the desk that there has been record low attendance lately. Hmmmm... i wonder why?&$)?& Not in a hurry to return. read more

My 3 and 4 year old grandchildren love the movies. The recliners make the experience even better. They can bring their favorite blankets and kick back. We bring cups for popcorn. The game room only takes cash for the machine to get tokens. The only negative is only a couple of the machines even work. Young children were upset. So only wish owners would do upkeep and fix them. They lost probably a good $20-$40 twice now. Cash needed for the Photo Booth in the game room, It makes a great photo keepsake to take home. Fix the games in the game room and it's 5 stars. Assigned seating? Talk about making a simple transaction a total pain in the rear! Now to meet friends (or your children to meet friends) you have to try to coordinate so that you can sit together. What a hassle! If you wait to purchase the tickets individually when your friends arrive, the other ticket lines are pulling on the same seats too. Talk about complicating a movie with friends! What happens if someone sits in your assigned seat and you can't be next to your friends provided you do happen to get all your seats together? You need to go out and pull someone in to enforce it. Ugh NCG. They now serve beer and wine too so, not only do you need to be concerned about if your children will be able to sit with their friends who arrive at different times, but will there be someone stuck in between them that can't go 2 hrs without a beer while out? On thé plus side, the chairs are more padded -- which will last for how long -- but we're left with paying $9.50 for assigned seats stressfully bought. Poor move NCG. Poor move. New reclining chairs are very comfortable but everything is extremely expensive. A large pop is $8 and seats are now around $12 each so a family night out to the show is near $80 and that is sharing a large popcorn among 3 people. It was $75 for 3 tickets, 3 drinks, and a tub of popcorn. I will never return or recommend. Just crazy prices. Then the movie A Quiet Place 3 sucked with very little story and poor writing, and the workers don't even keep the pop station clean. A very bad experience. This is the reason I rarely go to the theater. Waste of time money! read more

Decent theater! I've mostly come here for their massive IMAX screen, but that was also before theaters closer to me than this one didn't have IMAX screens. Now that they do, there is not as much reason to come here. They have those standard, narrow rocker-style seats, so it's not too comfortable, but this'll do in a pinch if I find myself jonesing for a movie when I'm in this area. I appreciate that they do reserved seating so I don't feel the pressure of getting there massively early and their concessions are great. Love the kid's pack option, even for me as an adult haha! If I could give them a negative star review I would. Bought tickets 10 days ago online. TEN! We go there today and they had double sold not just our seats but many others as well! I thought the point of buying tickets online was to guarantee your seats? Nope. Guess not. We told them that there were people in our seats and that they had tickets just like ours, basically were told to join the club because a line of other people were experiencing the same EXACT issue. Disorganization is an understatement. They were selling walk ins, the same seats that everyone who bought them online already purchased. We paid extra for the VIP seating and the vouchers we were given don't even cover that. So we are out many and made an hour trip to the theater for no reason. Saying I'm disappointed is putting it lightly. Probably the last time we will ever go here. read more

Not a bad theatre. They have the IMAX, which I love, and the most movies offered at any particular location around here. Ticket prices are standard, the seating is comfy with reclining chairs, it's pretty clean and modern, but the lines to buy tickets, which can only be found at the concession line (dumb as can be), are long and a disaster. They have never opened the actual ticket counter lines to sell tickets- ever. That's stupid. They don't even open them for blockbusters. It makes zero sense. The place is full of people in line buying tickets, snacks, getting extra snacks or have questions, gift cards, etc and it's a mess. It's not very well planned. Why are ticket counter lines there if they never were going to use them for guests? Explain this... The restrooms are usually clean, the staff is usually ok, but the concession section is a mess, including the soda refill area. As for the popcorn, it is sometimes stale or unseasoned. Parking is decent and the lot is well lit with limited security watching the lot at night, which is a bonus when it's quite dark or bad weather. A pretty good theatre experience compared to the rest. read more

Had never heard of NCG Cinemas before I found this theater. It was the only theater playing a movie that we wanted to see within a 50 mile radius of where we were staying in Michigan. There's nothing really wrong with this theater..it's what I would call one of the older newer theaters. You can tell that it was either built or renovated right before the new rounds of theater renovations took affect. Meaning, stadium seating but no reclining seats..also no seat selection..first come first serve basis. The theater seats weren't the most comfortable..but that could be because we have become so used to the recliners in newer/newly renovated theaters. That being said, this theater was alright. The set-up is a bit confusing. When pulling into the theater, the entrance you see is actually the back entrance. There is a lot more parking if you go around back..which is actually considered the front of the theater..just a bit confusing for no reason. They don't have a specific box office..at least they didn't when we were there..you buy your tickets at the concession stand. There is no sign or indication anywhere that this is the case..which leads you to just having to go to concession and asking what the deal is. The theater itself wasn't bad. Like I said, no reclining seats, no assigned seating..just an old school stadium theater with old school movie theater seats. Not awful but not ideal. I did like how the stadium style was slightly steeper than other "old" theaters. It makes it so that if someone sits in front of you, you're still fine...which is nice. Nothing wrong with this theater. If by chance we came into a scenario where we were nearby it I wouldn't object to going back. The architecture of the theater was pretty cool. They should spend the extra money to upgrade to the new reclining seats..then this theater would be really nice. read more

I just was here to go see the Hunger Games and paid $24 for a movie ticket and a popcorn. The movie started off great, however, halfway through the sound cut out and sounded as if a speaker had been blown. I went and talked to 3 associates, 3 different times telling them that the audio sounded off. After sitting through the movie for another 45 minutes waiting for it to be fixed I finally had to leave. I do not understand why the film could not just have been moved to another theater. The staff did not even come into the theater and announce or even acknowledge the issue! Extremely disappointed and disgusted with the way they handled this. Absolutely will NEVER come back here. read more

Theater is spacious with stadium seating and has Imax screen as well. Free refills on pop & popcorn helps when concessions are so expensive, especially with a family. Staff had always been courteous and helpful. My main complaint would be the 10 minutes of advertising commercials I have to sit through before I sit through the next 10 minutes of movie previews before finally getting to the feature presentation. Not sure if the local cinema is to blame or the studio but not loving the extra 20-30 mins on top of an already 2 hour movie time. read more

We went on Sunday to an imax movie and the lights were messed up. First there were absolutely No lights on the steps, then there was no picture for any of the previews which was annoying because we go a lot and we get there early to watch the previews! It is odd to buy your ticket at the concession counter but what ever works I guess. The staff is always friendly and theater is clean. Lots of parking too. I love you get to add your own popcorn salts/butter, free refills on drinks/popcorn and the crazy amount of drink options. $5 for movies in Tuesdays and bathrooms are clean. This theater is huge. A grand looking building with huge ceilings, large lobby, and a *lot* of theaters. And overall it looks fairly new and well kept up. The movie we saw was shown well, no issues with the screen, beautiful picture. Fairly clean and well kept. The down side? The seats. Borderline uncomfortable. Smaller, and barely a rocker, much less the oversized recliners you see nowadays. I'm ok with no recliner, but the seats need to be bigger. My butt and legs were cramped when the movie was done. Plus, there's barely anything around. A couple restaurants, and then nothing. This theater should live near a big shopping center with cool restaurants nearby.bit deserves that, for how grand the bldg is. Also, the entrance is really confusing. The grand front of the building with big spires and sparkly walls, which looks like the entrance, is actually the back, and you have to kind of wander around inside to find the front where concessions and tickets are. Why I'm a fan: the frequency card is a nice bonus (buy so many movie tickets, get one free), the IMAX theater is quality, and the matinee prices make my wallet sing and do a little dance (also, SuperCheap Tuesdays!). Evacuated during a movie. No personnel to tell what was going on. No presence at exits. Could barely hear the message to evacuate- but saw the lights and heard buzzing noise. No further compensation or communication. Nobody brought out the fire department to check it out. Disappointing. But the place is clean, pricing comparable and seating comfortable. read more

Went today to try the new VIP seats they offer. Most uncomfortable movie seats I have ever been in. Felt like I was just sitting on a wooden chair. The seats reclined, when they wanted to. Had to force it to let your feet down. There is no room between a reclined seat and the barrier in front, so when you have to use the bathroom or get a refill, you have to make people un-recline their seats. They do have side tables on each seat that help you store your food and drinks, but it makes it extremely hard to get in your seat. They are also not wide, so you feel like your squished. Not a great set up for comfortable movie watching, or not interrupting other patrons. Also, the popcorn was overcooked, and none of the syrups were mixing right in the pop machines. They state they have beer and wine available, but nowhere to purchase them, as we did see a concession area or pricing. read more

Price is a decent bit more expensive than emagine and not justifiable other than no close competition. Seats are incredibly uncomfortable and now you even gotta buy popcorn seasoning. Drive a little bit further and go to emagine heartland for a much more enjoyable viewing experience. read more

Had a good experience at the theater. When using a coupon that I had received in my email I was able to show it on my phone and use the popcorn coupon. Good customer service and good popcorn. I like how the slushee machine has been moved out like the other pop machines so now it's was more convenient then trying to get the slushy refill when they are busy at the counter. read more

Great theater very beautiful building reminds me of the wizard of oz I see they are upgrading the seating if you join the vip or pay more for the seats which is cool the other seats are ok. My only complaint is the horrible break your teeth cheap popcorn omg it's so bad every bite is a kernel and it's every time we go I rather pay for good popcorn their should be choices I get not everyone can afford it but they should be options.the food needs an over haul heated up pizza and preztal gross it's cold by time you get yo your seats read more

This is a typical Michigan theatre. Small seats that are too close to others. Lackluster food options that are overpriced. No adult beverages. This theatre style is why people stay home except for the big movies. Go visit an AMC in Kansas City or AMC John R in Metro Detroit to see what a theatre can be. read more

Trillium is huge but the theaters are out dated. Only a small section of seats recline and you have to pay an extra two dollars per seat to sit in them. I thought leather, heated, reclining seats were a standard for movie theaters at this point in the century. read more

This is the closest movie theater to probably any location in Grand Blanc. I went there a few times over the snowy season and the maintenance is great- nothing sucks more than having to trudge through the snow after sitting comfortably through a movie! The theater itself is well kept and they have many registers which sell you both your ticket and concessions which is nice. Overall, not a bad place to watch the latest blockbuster. read more

The family and I came here to check out Mission Impossible in IMAX. We were here shortly after Christmas on a random Tuesday or Thursday night, so there was next to nobody when we arrived, enabling us to grab great seats. Since this is a real IMAX theatre, not one of those lame "oh we made a regular screen size digital and called it IMAX so give us more money for it kthxbai!" ones, the sound and picture were incredible on the massive screen. Best part? $12 for an IMAX movie!!!! Now, I'm sure all you Michganers (Michiganders?) are reading that in shock wondering how $12 for a movie is the best part. Well, my friends, I'm in New York City. An IMAX movie, I bleep you not, costs $21. Nope, no slysdexia there. TWENTY ONE BONES. Throw in free refills on ANY size (not just mega jumbo you'll probably be dead after eating this bucket of popcorn so giving you a free refill option does nothing to our profit margins size) popcorn or soda, and you've got a movie night deal that can't be beat! Regular theatre plus IMAX. My biggest pet peeve with theatres is waiting in line to purchase tickets or concessions. I didn't have to deal with lines on a Friday night. Tons of staff members working every station. You actually purchase your tickets to the shows at the concessions desk - a new process for me, but it worked just fine. They offer $5 movies on tuesday, student discounts, senior discounts, unlimited refills on your drinks and popcorn, a FREE movie card (buy ten movie tickets, get one free - they swipe the card each time you buy tix and the free one prints automatically good for use within a year thereafter), and so much more. They are CLEAN, they are friendly, they are NEW. They are even putting in an IMAX theatre on the end of the building. You can't go wrong here. We've never been disappointed! My daughter, grandson and myself went to see Frozen 2 at 10:20 a.m. on Monday. My daughter and I each got the pretzel bites and small drink and my grandson got the kids pack (popcorn, gummies and a small drink) I picked the recliners not knowing there is a $2 upgrade charge! Total cost: $57!!! Should have went to Waterford cinema where they give 3x as many pretzel bites, do NOT charge $2 for each recliner and tix are only $5 for a matinee. Lesson learned. read more

The movie theater is conveniently located a mile or so off of I-75 and is the only place within 50 miles with an IMAX screen. I particularly enjoy the weekday specials they have, such as $5 matinees before six (Mon.-Thurs.). And the $5 movies all day on Tuesday, along with the $2 off concessions. They've upgraded there soda pop machines which is a plus and have plenty of kids working which provides little wait time for your tickets. read more
