This was only my 2nd visit to Emagine. Marcus is closer to me. I realized, it's worth the trip. The seats are comfortable, it's less crowded, and less expensive. The MAJOR issue I have is that there is only one full public restroom area and one single user restroom. The full public restroom is located at the entrance which means if you are at the last theater on either side, you have a long way to go to get to the restroom. read more

This theater is developing my perception of movie experience. Never have I been to a movie theater with luxury reclining seats and plenty of isle space. Emagine has a great selection of seats and even is offering shared "cuddle" seats. The prices are what to expect from the experience and as always: break the piggy bank for the food. This is now my hands down favorite place to see a movie. It is always clean, the popcorn delicious and the pop cold. I have been here with my whole family, with just my wife, with only my granddaughter and with both grandchildren. I have even come here by myself and have never been disappointed. All the theaters have gone to the luxury seats but no one has the quality that they have here. They are wider which I really appreciate. They go all the way back and there is plenty of leg room. I honestly love this movie theater so much. It is beautiful, and you can tell that they definitely put some money into it. The seating is nothing short of superb quality. Forget those old movie theater chairs that felt like you were sitting on bleachers coated in cheap fabric that freaked every time you even moved a quarter of an inch. This place has generously sized, electric powered reclining seats that have a nice (faux) leather feel to them. The seats are wide enough so the audience is not all completely piled on top of each other- the theater rooms are cozy and do not feel like sardine cans. Major plus in my book!! They do offer a bar area in the entrance. It is beautifully decorated throughout the entire building and the food isn't all that bad. Typical movie theater stuff with just a little extra. You can place a food order and they will even deliver it to your seat. How nice is that! I think movies are $6 on weeknights after 9pm. What a deal! This is my theater of choice and though they cannot help the rude people that feel it is necessary to talk through movies, I understand that and this will continue to be my movie theater of choice. This is the best theatre in the south suburbs. Super clean, very comfortable recliners, full service bar and food! It's the classiest and best run theatres around, blows AMC and Marcus and Ipic Away. For a while after it opened, this became my go-to theater despite the 40-minute drive each way. It had (past tense) new, comfortable chairs, clean bathrooms, fresh popcorn, and pleasant staff. Now it has none of these things. The last two seats I sat in were broken, and the floors were sticky. The bathroom is disgusting. I told an employee about it, and when I went back 2 hours later after the movie, was the bathroom cleaned? Nope. The popcorn is disgusting and always tastes stale or burnt. I mentioned this as well, to a different employee, and was simply told, "no, it's fresh". The staff are all kids-- not a bad thing in itself, but apparently nobody told them how to act. 2 kids were talking about the girlfriend of one of them rather than helping any of the 30+ people in the concessions line. I stopped at the desk after the movie to complain-- I was only 3rd in line-- but nobody from management ever showed up. read more

Forewarning I've only been here one time, i need to visit a couple more times. The style of the theatre is very nice, purchasing tickets is not a hassle and the space is very open. The biggest pro was the comfort of the seating and how comfortable the theatre attempts to make u feel by having plush reclined seats. My complaints would probably start with how much trash and pop was on the floor when walking to our designated theatre room. Next would be the smell of the theatre room, smelled like straight feet to be honest. Place has potential but they might need to hire more people for their cleanup crew. read more

We broke up.....with our old movie theater for this one! This is the best movie theater we have ever been too. The inside appears very luxurious with the fire place, piano, and lighting. They sell blankets for only 5 dollars if you need one. The staff there is very friendly and they will bring your food to your seat. Their prices are very inexpensive and their food is better than other movie theaters. The movie theater is never crowded and it's very spacious. The lines are never long and everything works efficiently. For moviegoers who live in Chicago, this theater is worth the drive. read more

I just visited the Theatre over the weekend and noticed the food area was a mess. It was popcorn on the floor and counter. The open Kitchen was a mess. Whoever is managing the food area is not doing a great job. You may want to keep the kitchen area clean where food is being prepared. The fountain machine was running over with soda and dirty. This is a nice theater but they have to do a better job of keeping things clean. read more

My ONLY suggestion would be to maybe turn up the heat but I think that to many people would fall asleep during the movies, because they would be to comfortable. They always have the latest movies. Went to see a movie tonight at the new Emagine theatres. Really great service from a young and enthusiastic staff. Food came out to our seats. It was the wrong pizza, but someone was close by to take it back for us and get us the correct one pretty fast. The food was mediocre at best, to be expected. I will definitely try it again though. Choices were limited, pizza, nachos, wings, Bosco sticks, etc. The bar was comfy and chill. Had a whiskey and a blue margarita from the machine. Very good. The bathrooms were clean and nice. Fun atmosphere. The seats are great, comfy and relaxing. The prices were decent and the online experience was relatively easy to navigate. Get the loyalty card when you get there. Will give you some perks including a free popcorn you first time. I love having this place in the neighborhood. Great date choice! We will be here often. read more

For my first time going to a new theatre I assumed it would be a great experience. Well, it took 45 minutes to get our food. And it was some bosco sticks, pretzel bites, and chicken tenders. And believe it or not, that food cost $40 added to the already $30 for two tickets. On top of that, the food was not that good. The bosco sticks tasted the worst. So, if you decide to go to this theatre then be prepared to spend way more money than what it is worth. Other than that, the seats were comfortable. I'm very disappointed that the one day I had in a month to go out cost $70 and was full of frustration. read more

The bathrooms are gross, the pop stations are sticky and the seats have popcorn all over them when you arrive. There are dirty trays stacked high at the garbage stations. Today I saw a movie for the first time here. This is such a step up from the Marcus in Orland. Because it is new it is super clean. The bathroom was huge and clean. The seats in the theaters were soft. They didn't recline loudly. The seat numbers were a little confusing. We noticed we were the only ones confused about which seats were ours. The movie started and there was only one preview. Which I loved because I don't like to watch the previews. Every employee we came across was nice and smiling. The popcorn was good. So we're the prices! They also have self serve slushee machines. I didn't try any of them. But it looked fun. Overall a great theater. I can't wait to return. read more

We attended the Day one of the soft opening on 23 December. Even for day one, they had their act together, and the artisan pizzas (DELIVERED TO OUR RESERVED LEATHER RECLINING SEATS) were completely fresh and tasty! The popcorn was great (and they offer cheese corn and caramel corn too - !!!). I was concerned that putting the theatre into a former Dominick's grocery store would be tight, but the theatres are comfortable and the screens Huge and perfectly sharp. The seats are the best of these new-generation recliners. I am now spoiled for other theatres in the area. Go here and you will agree with me. read more

Nicest, cleanest, fanciest movie theater I have ever been to. The chairs have so much space and they recline nicely! Food options are wonderful (they even have white castles). I have a dairy allergy and they have two versions of popcorn you can get, one of which is made with EVOO instead of butter. The prices are very reasonable for both the food and the movie. You're allowed to bring a blanket if you wish so I literally went in my pajamas and brought my blanket and was very comfortable! They have a love seat option towards the front row if you'd like to get a little closer to your lover. Overall, this theater is the best! read more

This was a great movie theater. First of all, the tickets are inexpensive and much better priced than other surrounding movie theaters. All of their seats in the theaters are recliners!!! Their movie screens are beautiful and large- perfect for a person who doesnt like wearing their eye glasses. The movie started on time, the theater was very clean and smelled fresh. Second of all, The amenities they have in the lobby are outstanding (live music played by a piano, a bar with cocktails and drinks). Their bathrooms are very clean and easy accessible. Third of all, if you order food other than popcorn they literally deliver the food to you in your assigned seat in the actual movie theater.
