Ely's is the best! Been getting meat and chicken here for years --and now their new store is wonderful!! Their homemade ice cream is great!!

Over priced, got some sausage cooked a couple links and tasted extremely salty had to boil in water to get rid of the salt in the others. Scrapple at over 6 dollars a pound will be my last purchase. always prefer buying from family farms but the cost is just way out of line. read more

I do a lot of BBQ in my home and they have a lot of cuts that your grocery stores won't have (brisket, pork belly, etc..) looks like the store has had been remodeled recently and they did a great job. Staff are friendly and you can tell they take pride in what they do. However, their beef prices are high, especially for their BBQ cuts. I might be spoiled though because I'm used to Texas beef where a brisket is $3 a pound. read more

Ely Farms has the absolute best farm fresh meats. Their steaks cut like butter. Their bacon is delicious, flavorful and the best I've had. Their artisan cheeses are delightful. The pepperoni is fabulous. Best of all you can pre-order a fresh Turkey for Thanksgiving. I go the beginning of October to order mine; 20-22 lbs. They are fresh, never frozen, farm fresh. They offer deer processing. Their employees are family members, well versed in all their farm products. Absolutely polite, always a smile, and happy to serve their customers. This is a generational farm, teaching their offspring all about farming, processing meats, serving their customers. A Christian based farm and family, which shows in how they treat everyone. Highly recommend for any of the products they sell there. Their hours are 9-5 Thursday and Friday, with 9-2 on Saturday. You'll find rolling hills, cows in the pasture, as you visit the small store on their property. It's run top notch with the family member's. read more

The drive down Woodhill Road, Upper Makefield, from Highland Road, is a perfect example of the beauty of Bucks County. Forests, farms, valleys, rolling hills. As you go east toward the Delaware River, you come upon Ely Farm and its multigenerational pork products agribusiness on the left. Its long drive framed by white picket fence escorts you to the large barn processing facility, small retail store, and the old farmstead under aging trees. It is a quite the bucolic vista, worthy of photograph, or at least a deep breath of appreciation. Walking up to the shop we met several people waiting to pick up their freshly butchered deer. "Eat what you kill," has immediate meaning, as we saw a couple carrying out a large flat box full of neatly wrapped meat and a plastic bag holding a multi point antler rack deer head for mounting. Not something you see every day. The retail space is very small, with display cases showing many of their items for sale, access to walk-in refrigerators, and buzzing workers (mostly family) attending to the customers. It takes a few minutes for a first timer to figure out the process. We did, and ordered Seasoned Pork Chops, Hickory Smoked Kielbasa, Honey Bologna and Ground Beef. There was a lot more tempting us, but we had to start somewhere. Everything was made on site and looked great. When we got home we quickly sampled the kielbasa and bologna. Both had rich taste and we're slightly addicting. I fried up thin slices of the bologna and scrambled in a couple of eggs, salt and pepper. Delicious! Will grill the chops later this week. Can't wait. They are lean cut with thin edges of fat. Nothing will go to waste. If the seasoned pork chops are as tender and tasty as they look and the smoked meats have proven to be, we will become regular Ely customers. read more

Tried them out for the first time recently and was really impressed. They are offering curbside pick up during the pandemic which I took advantage of. The woman that helped me over the phone was friendly and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed (eventhough I could tell they were busy). I placed my order, gave my cc info over the phone and chose my desired pickup date and time. A few hours later a gentleman called me back to let me know one of the items I requested was sold out but was so great with suggesting a similar substitute. Curbside pickup was smooth and easy - parked, someone came out to get my name then they popped it into my trunk. Safe and easy. So far we've been very impressed with their product. We've tried a mixture of beef and poultry products which were very good. We also really liked their Washington's crossing cheese and beef sticks! read more

If you enjoy meat then you have to try Ely's... Their homemade bologna is amazing. Porks chops are thick and juicy. We also purchased beef filets OMG!!!!!!! They were the best steaks we ever had!! Juicy, melt in your mouth and the flavor of the steak was just amazingly fantastic. They come vacuum sealed two in a pack but large enough to split. Elys products are as good as -- and IMHO better than -- any of the highest quality supermarket products and are more reasonably priced. Their snack sticks (like Slim Jims) are amazing - my kids go crazy for them. We stopped in one day a year or so ago unannounced with my Girl Scout Troop. Wow. They were sooo kind and excited to share with the girls how they do their work. One of our girls is Hindu and a strict vegetarian. They were completely understanding about her not wanting to visit the processing areas - not judgmental in the slightest. They source most of their own feed from their own organically grown fields. The family is 8th or 9th generation on the farm. Its been around since General Washington actually crossed!!!! My wife and I have been buying from Ely's since we lived 10 miles away in Hunterdon County, 20 years, and we now take a 1 1/2 hour drive up there still. We have never found higher quality meat products and cheeses anywhere else. All at a fair price with friendly knowledgeable service. As we approach our 6th week in quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic, a big issue for us has been how to eat well without stopping into a large yet understocked food market. My husband and I took a road trip from Montgomery County into Bucks County last Saturday in search of a family farm to shop at. What a gem this place is! Beautiful steaks and pork chops, delicious sausages. I literally felt like a kid in a candy shop. I also LOVE that they restricted the number of people who could enter at the same time. We grilled the steaks and chops and they were amazing. Sausage and chicken were great too. And the staff was so nice. We are planning to head back this weekend. read more

I was given some of their hickory smoked bacon as a gift from a work colleague, as I am a bacon aficionado. I travel a lot for work so I sample bacon from five continents :-) This was the most memorably tasty bacon for years. Better than what I can get 'at home', lightyears better than what I buy in Asia, and better than just about all available even in Germany and Austria and South Africa (which are no-slouch countries for bacon availability and taste). Uhmmm...okay! My daughter's company gifted their employees with pre-cooked spiral glazed hams for Christmas. And may I just say OH. MY. GOODNESS! I live in NJ. Their product left me asking: "WHERE have you been all of my life?" If you haven't guessed by now, I'm buying! Online. In person. I will drive the distance to the farm. It was THAT good! Well worth the picturesque 30 minute drive from Burlington. Ely's Farm is beautiful, you feel deep in the country there. The butcher shop is amazing! They have every cut of meat imaginable...just ask and they will cut it to order. Their Washington Crossing cheese is a gift from God & the hickory thick sliced bacon will make the angels sing. We also purchased a chicken, rib eyes, filets, fat beef short ribs and a couple thick cut bone in pork chops. Susan, the owners wife said we will never eat a fresher chop. Everyone there was friendly and happy...there was a verse from the book of Psalms on the chalkboard and a very well loved, broken in Bible atop the corner of the meat case. Full disclosure, as Dwight's nephew, I'm a little biased, but the Ely Farm really is a welcoming place with delicious food and uplifiting service. It's always a good day when I get to stop by the shop and say hello because they never fail to put a smile on my face! The meats and cheeses are award winning on a national level and the eggs are fresh. The BBQ snack sticks and the Sweet & spicy cheese links are my favorite snack options (not including the cheeses). The people who work here are very helpful. One, who looked like he might have been the owner, joked with us, "You got a deer for me?!" (they process deer) I don't know. It made this experience more fun. You can sample a lot of the meats and (their only) cheese they have in the case. We bought a lot (I'm posting this review after we went home and ate most of it). The snack sticks are better than slim jims. The pork roll is really good, a tad spicy. The "sweet and spicy cheese sticks" were amazing. Another customer recommended we get this and fry it in a pan with onions and peppers. I'm really glad we did! The Washington Crossing cheese is sooooooo good! It probably one of my favorite cheeses. They also have pretty much every butcher cut you can think of, but I think they're in the back because only some stuff was in the case. They sell shirts, and I saw a card that listed all the fancy Philly restaurants they sell to. Ely is really great and I can't wait to come back. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Ely's. All of their products are wonderful-- and so fresh! They have great cheese and bologna sticks for snacks that are the best. Their seasoned pork chops are great-- but so are their plain ones. This pork is unlike any other you have tasted. I have been going here for many years now and would never think of going to a food store again. Their pork tenderloins are like filet mignon. Their eggs are also great. This family run farm has everything from meats to cheese to eggs. I have been a customer for over 15 years. I drive an hour from Collegeville PA about every 8 weeks to stock up on steak - pork roll- ribs - etc. I haven't bought a steak in a "store" for over 10 yrs.
