We loved the gorgonzola dip, pesto di Noci, pesce al cartoccio, cavoletti e Pecorino, lasagna Bolognese. The food is shareable and priced fairly so you can order many things. In a Friday evening at 6pm I made reservations in advance for 5 people and upon visit found their street seating to be mostly full and interior front of the lounge about half full. The back was pretty empty though I think probably better for later evening get-togethers. The staff was welcoming and quick to direct us to scan the menu via QR code, they have happy hour until 7pm, so there are a handful of drinks and snacks discounted. Silly enough I realized when we assembled that none of the other ladies that made it that night drank alcohol so I only ended up getting a beer, but surely next time I'll be back for wine considering Jadis is a wine bar! We ordered: - CONCOMBRE $8 for HH: Cucumber, lemon, cucumber syrup, seltzer. My friend enjoyed this refreshing drink. - MONTAUK SUMMER ALE (PALE ALE, NY, 5.6%) $6 for HH: light and not too hoppy for east summer vibes. I switched out my order and unfortunately they forgot to charge me for the right can. - PORK PATE $12: HH special served with slices of French baguette, love a good pate! - OVEN ROASTED BRANZINO FILET $26: Mediterranean mild white fish filet, roasted potatoes, harivot vert, lemon (gf). My friend enjoyed this dish and said the fish was cooked well though wished the portion size was a little more. - PAN SEARED 8 OZ NZ GRASS-FED SKIRT STEAK $32: Roasted potatoes, Provençal tomato confit, arugula, herb sauce (gf). Another friend and I both ordered this. Great flavors, a few chewy bits as skirt steak is wont to have. Was pretty full after eating this. - OVEN ROASTED ORGANIC CHICKEN BREAST PROVENÇAL $25: Mashed potatoes, haricot vert, shallots, virgin jus (gf). Other friend liked this as well. - BEEF BOURGUIGNON $33: Off the bone Short ribs braised in red wine, pearl onions, mushroom, carrots, potatoes (gf). Yumm so good! For reference they are also a great venue for private events, years ago I hosted my friend's bridal shower here on a Saturday afternoon. I understand why this spot has been here for so long-- it's a reliable standby, a true neighborhood restaurant that isn't overly trendy and is hospitality forward.
