PUMPKIN PATCH (2023)…read more Found this little local gem on Yelp. The reviews were older, but we were in the area so we took a gamble and drove over (2023) for the pumpkin patch. For $5 you get to park your car in the adjacent lot and gain admission to their little fair (we had cash, not sure if they accept credit or debit). There were a bunch of pumpkin displays, free hayride, kid activities, vendors selling local goods (knits, clothing, baked goods, soaps, popcorn, honey, etc.), and a haunted maze for $2 admissions within the grounds. Some of the activities require additional cost (like the pumpkin painting for the kids). They have chickens roaming around the property (they usually stay near their little chicken coop in the far back). The free hayride was fun, just a little ride around their property- nothing spectacular. The kids on our tour ride seem to enjoy it :P If you're looking to spend about 40 mins or less at a pumpkin patch, this is the place to go!

She really…read moreloves her animals & takes great care of everything in the property including her customers safety. I came here because a few of my clients highly recommended Lola's Market to me because of its quality & super friendly customer service. Plus it is local & who doesn't love fresh & local things? She has clear signs before you enter the property to make sure everyone is safe. I love it maybe because I'm a big "sign" person. Haha This is NOT a Zoo, please don't chase her animals & respect her simple & basic rules for not doing so. Just like you want people to respect your own house rules & you don't want people squeezing & chasing your children (well, at least I don't). Pets are not allowed inside so they don't try to chase/fight/eat her chickens for instance. My dog would love to do that, but he didn't as he was kept in the car & enjoyed the beautiful country view from there. :) This is a very stylish country place with a lot love, time & energy spent into it. Everyone with an open mind, respectful attitude & a open heart is welcome. Even if you just want to stop by to say hello. Mona & her animals will be happy to see you. Her deco is cute, but no it is NOT for sale. Most of the cute things there was given to Mona by old friends, customers & her grandmother. We love the fact that she shares it with us & we have the opportunity to admire it. Everything has a story behind & meaning. I highly recommend her place, it is very unique & welcoming. It is too sad that people are entitled & go out of there way to try to damage a person's dream & hard work. Some people have absolutely NO idea what it takes to run a successful business. Ignore the hate & very negative things people have to say. Don't even take my word for it. Go there & check it out for yourself. You'll love it too especially if you have learned how to appreciate the value of simple things in life. Mona, I just want to say thank you very much for you being who you are & for keeping the doors open to serve us fresh & local produce. There are many people out there looking for what you have to offer & we are very grateful for your hard work. Your place is a gem & we can't recommend it enough, Linda

I ended up with a ten pound red one that made enough soup for my extended family for months to come for under $10. It had such an aromatic smell when I cut it open. Almost like a cantaloupe. The pumpkins are high quality and reasonably priced.

I didn't see any face painter but my husband said there was one , I believe it was the older woman sitting at a booth with a bunch of plants and I honestly walked right by. There wasn't tons of people (we came in the afternoon) and you'd think that people working there would be more engaging. I saw the owner once but not even a hello. He was very friendly last year and even took a family pic for us. This year I was just very disappointed. Perhaps towards Halloween it may be worth a visit but I don't see a point in returning again. Very sad. They did have (as usual) lots of plastic play toys for the kids to enjoy and a few bounce houses. The mini cows and goats....yeah, behind an electric fence. Seriously. Better time spent at the Aubrey Peanut Festival which is free and has TONS of things for kids to do and a Petting Zoo as well as pony rides. This was not worth $20 IMO

Such a sweet and enjoyable experience…read more Go to their website and make reservations for the day and time you prefer: https://blasefamilyfarm.com We came for the first time for the Pumpkins last Fall. We learned about Spookly the Pumpkin and enjoyed the most amazing pumpkin popsicles on the planet. We came back this month for the Blueberries. SO FUN. Yes, wear boots, especially after rain. The property is luscious with trees and a creek. They also have bee hives you can observe (from a safe distance). The blueberry popsicles are amazing. All four flavors of Spring popsicles were delicious. We had a popsicle "flight" and tried them all! Restrooms are porta-potties with a hand washing pump sink, so come prepared with your little tot oxo car potty if you're like me and would rather take littles to the car to potty. The owner, Jill, is such a gracious host. She is delightful and enjoys meeting everyone! We got my Dad a block of blueberry fudge, and he said it was the best fudge he has ever eaten (which is saying a lot!!!) This is our new "happy place" for a Fall and Spring excursion to enjoy the seasonal delights of pumpkins and blueberries!!

I picked the 9 am slot which is the earliest time they have and it was perfect. Not too hot and not too many people. It's $7 a pound for the berries. There's a great sitting area and they you gotta walk thru this cute little wooded trail for like less than 5 minutes. And it was wonderful! So pretty and peaceful. Don't forget to also try their popsicles.

***BRING CASH!!!!…read more Big Orange Pumpkin at Preston Trail Farms is WORTH THE DRIVE!!! We drive 55min one way every year to visit the Big Orange Pumpkin farm. As far as Pumpkin Patches go this is the best one for the cost. $12/person gets you entrance + one small pumpkin from patch + feed for petting barn + hayride + feeding & touching animals in the roping pen and the hay maze We take photos all over at the fun photo-ops set up throughout the patch. We take our time feeding all the animals, petting the longhorns and laughing at the goats as they jump all over one another. We make our way to the hay maze where we take turns racing through it or sending the kids through while timing them. It's not a difficult hay maze but they have fun going through it over and over. The hayride is silly, slow and is usually chilly, but it's a fun experience and there's a silly story along the way. We pack lunches, so someone runs to the car to grab those while the rest of us spread out at a table and then we all enjoy lunch together before picking our pumpkins and heading home. A FEW TIPS: -Try and get there shortly after they open so you miss the field trip groups and large crowds. -Pack lunches! There are quite a few picnic tables outdoors and a few indoors you can spread out and eat at. Food is also available to purchase indoors. -Bring cash!!! You'll be charged a large fee to use a credit card for entry -Wear boots or shoes you don't mind getting dirty -Bring a coast - the wind picks up, especially on the hayride.

They also had a corn maze (included in the ticket price), ice cream shop, gift shops & vendors, and hay bale rides (additional cost). Value: I felt like $15 per adult was a bit steep, but it did include a corn maze! Everything was a bit steep inside the farm as well. I don't think I would come coming again, but I think this is a perfect place for families with a bunch of kids because there are so many activities all in one farm!

The entrance fee is $15 for adults and that includes the corn maze. There are plenty of photo ops and yes, you can even buy pumpkins to take home. The prices for the pumpkins were very reasonable and seemed to be lower than most grocery stores. Everyone working at Hall's was also so nice. From the ladies working the pumpkin stand, to the lady in the gift shop. I bought an excellent pumpkin soufflé candle and some jam. The lady was nice enough to keep our bags while we enjoyed the happenings, and then we were able to retrieve them when it was time to leave. There were also lots of portable restrooms onsite- they called it "potty town USA" Also, there were booths for food and drink, so you really could make a whole afternoon of roaming around here. I was bummed that I didn't get to go on the hayride since people in my party petered out before we had time to do it, but this just gives me incentive to go back again next year!
