We did not have as many guests as I had hoped, and they probably did not spend as much as I expected on food and drinks, but we still had a wonderful time. Princess apologized for the wait at one point, but we were completely relaxed and just enjoying ourselves. She took great care of us most of the evening. She is a great asset to your team. Her communication was excellent, her personality was warm and welcoming, and she even called everyone by name. She was incredibly gracious and made the experience memorable for all of us. I will say that initially it was difficult to reach someone to arrange the event. I tried the website, Facebook, and made three phone calls. Eventually I was able to reach someone who provided me with an email address for Karissa. From that point on everything went smoothly. Karissa did everything she said she would do for my group and then some. She was extremely accommodating in the best way. Her communication was strong and she answered every question I had. We all had a great time, and I am sure when everyone is back in town we will return again. Thank you.

Scott Bonn, Ph.D. is a criminology professor, TV news commentator, public speaker and author. He is…read morean expert on the behavior and the motivations of criminals. I often hear his name of the Serial Killers podcast I listen to on Spotify and just recently finished reading his book "Why We Love Serial Killers: The Curious Appeal of the World's Most Savage Murderers". When I saw him on the news giving an interview and they mentioned he would be 'in Chicago", I jumped at the chance to get a ticket to see him live. Welp, much to my dismay, he was not going to be in Chicago but Joliet. Well, I bit the bullet, got a ticket, and decided to go anyway. The Rialto is located in what I assume is the downtown area...the reason I say assume is that this is the first time I have been to Joliet. Since I arrived at 7:30 pm, it was dark and not much foot traffic beyond people parking to go to the theater. There was a parking lot about a two blocks from the theater at the cross street and it was free. The theatre was designed by Marshall & Fox, who also designed the Blackstone Theatre (now the Merle Reskin), the Blackstone Hotel and the Drake Hotel. Walking inside, you can definitely tell that these guys did the work as there was a familiarity to the Chicago buildings mentioned. The interior is very ornate and pretty. There were several vendors in the main lobby serving drinks (no bubbles, just still wines), cocktails and beer. You could take the drinks in with you to the theater. There was this huge Duchess chandelier in the rotunda and a lot of cream-colored marble walls in the lobby. The theater itself was so lovely. The seats looks wide enough where you could be comfortable. The reason I say this is that a lot of entertainment venues built back in the day had very narrow and uncomfortable seats. Because I had tickets in the front row of the orchestra pit, they had stand alone seats there, but they were padded and comfortable. I loved seeing the red velvet curtains and looking up to the ceiling, there was this ornate plateau of what appeared to be The Birth of Venus, based on the Italian artist Sandro Botticelli. The presentation itself was nice and insightful. I am fascinated with serial killers from the perspective of the psychology of why they do what they do, and Dr. Scott Bonn did not disappoint. Although a lot of the basics he spoke on I was already aware of, it was great to here about his person insights into his dealings with BKT (Dennis Rader)and Son of Sam. The irony was not lost on me that quite a few of these killers associate with Christianity in terms of being involved in churches. Bonn mentioned that Son of Sam (David Berkowitz )was now Son of Hope and a self-proclaimed minister who was being embraced by quite a few people. Couldn't wrap my mind around that at all. Bonn also spoke about Bryan Christopher Kohberger, who is accused of killing four University of Idaho students in November 2022. Bonn mentioned that he felt that Kohberger had the potential to become a serial killer had he not been caught. Bonn also mentioned that the number of serial killers has been on the declined over the years, with the numbers as high as over 800 in the 80s. The advances in DNA testing as well as technology/knowledge had stopped potential serial killers in their tracks before they got started. The staff were all very cordial and helpful. Overall experience was a good one as I liked the feel of the theater. There would have to be someone performing here that I absolutely would want to see before coming back here due to the distance but would absolutely do so.

If you know where all the cheap eats are at and can get to the library. You really don't do much sleeping because there is no real AC but I do recommend it for Sarah Jane Ferridge (Sarah Jezebel Deva) because this place has that tough vibe that's Joliet's early years. You do see a lot on probation or fixed income who live in the place. Some of the guests really do live at the hotel. East side might be rough but you have cool hotels to eat 24 hours and if you sleep late you won't miss a chance to get something to eat. I do have a hard time waking up in time from the train here because they don't have an alarm clock. You are taking a chance true but has a personality.

I kept thinking that the cockroaches from Joe's Apartment were going to come out and drink with us. Sometimes you go places and realize how fortunate you are and how you never want to loose that position. I am fortunate and very very appreciative I will not stay there again. The camping experience was awesome. *The mobile showers * Garnier Fructis station ( hair done, free by professional stylist ) * Food Truck (tacos & burgers) * Shuttle bus that ran to walmart 3xs a day) * Fireworks every night @ 10pm * amusement park rides * Craft tent ( made a rave stick & flower head band) * charge tent ( keep cell phones & laptops charged) * water stations to refill bottles and packs & Best of all, there was a warm tent that stayed open 24hrs a day. When the weather got a bit chilly, I ran for shelter to the warm tent. A community grill was on deck & every morning we could cook scrambled eggs, fry sausage & make tea & in the afternoons we would grill burgers & host a bbq before heading to the concert grounds. If someone was too intoxicated to walk back to their tent , EDC volunteers would happily escort us back to our tent via golf cart. There were various music stages to see our favorite EDM artists. The music was epic and I remember being told by a Joilet Police Officer that there were 9,000 911 calls from the Joilet residents from Thursday night to Monday morning of the event. The residents could hear the music from a 20 mile distance & thought that was some type of bombing occurring at the camp site! The scenery was full of fun & laughter. I remember seeing some tent neighbors bring a life size "Connect Four" game to the site. The tent lanes/rows had creative street names such as "Creativity Lane" or FoFo St". I made so many friends here and will be back to EDC Chicago in the years to come!

No traffic in and not much on the way out. Security check points (3): not as tough as I told it would be. One time the security girl asked if I had anything in my pockets I said no and she just let me walk by.... I also had on rugged boots that could of a fit a million things in them and nobody checked. Oh and I also had opened chapstick and their website clearly states NO open chapsticks, but I was a bad ass and got it in, haha. I've never been to the Speedway before so I was in for a surprise. As soon as we entered the pit was filled with laser shows (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/electric-daisy-carnival-chicago-joliet?select=CwZSgSBMXVnpjwcyKmxmlw#t4DFOnHGs2X4w0FS0mnxSA), carnival rides, and pretty daisy. We can't control the weather and it was less than ideal esp. Friday night where temps drop to low 40s, but the DJs rocked EDC Chicago! I danced all night, every night, for three nights straight! It's a pretty close call for which night was my favorite: Saturday or Sunday. Saturday night Armin was amazinggggggggggg! His set is so good that I listen to it while working out! As for Sunday it might of been muddy and rainy, but the rain brings all the crazies out! Definitely a memorable one! Plenty of port-o-potties and food stations, also if it was raining you can buy a poncho at the general store and they opened up the garages. Endless supply of free water at the water stations and plenty of beer sellers. Definitely a fun experience and from experienced EDC Las Vegas peeps EDC Chicago is a big tease and I'm quite alright with that because it is the "road to Vegas" and it's definitely building my anticipation! See you in a few weeks EDC Vegas!
